We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

DH and I can both see a faint line...

And a second test.
Omg I feel sick!

DH has categorically said "that is definatley a faint line" but wants to wait for a darker line before accepting in. Big party pooper.

Hopefully as you've waited until Ovia told you to test it shouldn't be a chemical but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I know that seeing my lines disappear last month made me a little insane but I think if you test again over the weekend yours should get reassuringly darker.

I have asked my OH to have a stern word with his sperms as They need to buck up their ideas... I'm testing on Christmas Day and I expect to get a positive! OH is just happy that the monthly sexathon is nearly here

I'm testing again on Sunday to give me two days to let those lines darken.

How do I focus all day now? At least I don't have work to do but still I'm going to drive myself mad just me and the dog. Bough I do have 3 or 4 episodes of OBEM to watch

There is a definite line on the cheapos! This is brilliant - one of the original gang too - yeah don't go leaving us!!

Have you any other symptoms? What DPO are you bunch?

I'm not sure how many dpo exactly Shelb as I can't see where that is on Ovia. But start of fertile windo was apparently 16 days ago and last day or fertile window was 11 days ago. **

• I feel so nervous and I can't eat my breakfast. Symptoms well I've been spitting anything and everything. I had cramping last Saturday I took that to possibly be implantation but no spotting. I've been dizzy for the last 2 days. Boobs feel a little fuller. Headache. Feeling impatient and frustrated (apparently a symptom). Bloating has mega kicked off in the last couple of days. And I was super tired yesterday for no reason.

Yay Bunch!!!! Fingers crossed that line darkens over the weekend!!

2 more days til I test (4 according to Ovia but I want to do it at the weekend! Sunday will be 11 days dpo so should be ok?) Think I need to prepare myself for a no. Ovia suggested my due date would be at a time of year that has anniversaries and has been a difficult time for my family. I have gotten too attached to the idea of bringing some joy to that time with a new arrival!

Oh Ni I have everything crossed for you. 11 days seems to be okay or me if you go for the end of my fertile window but if it is a negative I wouldn't think you're out for another few days.

My estimated due date will be right by my mums birthday and everything else in our families is in winter so it's a good time for us. Not great for school but at least birthdays are in school holidays. It would be lovely for you to bring some joy to a usually crappy time of year.

Anyone know when I'm supposed to contact my gp/midwife? I may go askin in pregnancy or antenatal. Eek. This seems so weird!

Bunch - I'm no expert (obvs) but I'd maybe leave it a few days to make sure (which I'm sure it will) the line keeps getting stronger and it isn't a chemical? Maybe leave until Monday? Bloody exciting though!

I'm freaking out ladies (TMI WARNING) just been to the loo and got either full on brown spotting or start of my AF (at CD18). I don't have period pains as such but a weird tight feeling over my pubic bone. Going to be gutted if it's AF - not because not upduffed, but because by cycle is obviously (swearing alert) fucked.

Shelb it could always be you ovulated early and its implantation. Or even if it is an early AF it means you can get back on it super quick. Though they say spotting is from the previous cycle, not the start of AF. How long are you off the pill now?

I'm only on cycle one off the pill so it could be my confused body giving me AF.

I'll report back at the end of the day to see if it's subsided - lucky you!!!!!

It totally could be. I had a 16 day cycle on my second month off the pill PITA as I was on holiday too!!

He's surprisingly okay, lots of smiles but he kept saying "when you take another test on Sunday and we find out if you are pregnant" I kept telling him "no I am pregnant".

He's got a full busy day in the office so we'll see how he is tonight. It wasn't the best way we found out, quite funny. It was 6am so I wasn't waiting 5 mins in a cold bathroom so I peed on the stick and ran back to bed to wait for the time and left the test on the bedside table. When I checked it I said to him "oh it looks negative.. HANG ON" haha. I then hid under the covers and he laughed at me.
His final words to the dog as he left for work was "You're going to be a big brother". He made my heart melt.

Yeah think it must be AF, too much for it to be spotting now.

Oh well, at least I'm getting a cycle of sorts I guess!

It's all positive Shelb. You'll be getting back into a normal cycle.

I've just remembered two more symptoms, the ones that actually made me think "maybe". I've had backache for about 5 days and I've been able to smell myself (nice). Not that I've been sweating but I'm just aware of my own pit odour. I'm really selling myself as a clean person aren't I! This would happen even an hour after a shower and I've never been able to smell myself unless I've been at a festival and gone 5 days just wet wipe washing! Apparently it's a symptom too. According to Ovia pregnancy app I'm 4 weeks today, that seems so much scarier than the 3 weeks I'd guessed!

Bunch ammmaaaazing news!! Poor ooh! How so totally exciting ! Ooooooooh! Squeeeeee!

But also, sensible yes, yes of course wait for weekend wee etc, but equally Squeeeeeeee!

Ni - Ovia is saying 4 days before I can test as well! We can be moral support for each other if it's a BFN! So hoping it's not for both of us!

TMI alert - I decided to er, explore my cervix after Ovia's prompting. I would say it's medium to high, and if I had to describe it, it felt soft. Also lots of white CM. Anyone know what this means? (If anything?)

Thanks Mor. I personal have never ahem exploited my cervix I find a Mawer uncomfortable enough without prodding anymore. However, lots of white CM is a symptom of pregnancy but also is what we're supposed to get before AF arrives. I got more than usual so it seems to be a good indicator. (Shelb I'm still remembering symptoms it would seem).
I am over the moon but trying so hard to reign it in. Which is nye on impossible
