We weren't supposed to start till January! But we did!
Join us as we ttc #1 after pill/contraception etc.

We've got a boat, it makes frequent stops for wine, pissy sticks, wool, slings, cake and all manner of shit we don't need yet but we buy anyway!

Ladies, this may be mean but I'm finding watching you all go slightly crazy in slow motion remarkably reassuring. This is exactly how I felt last month and it's nice to know it's not just me!
On the bright side I'm feeling much more chilled this month so there's hope

Sorry I've been awol for a while things have been pretty hectic! I'm CD32 and still no sign of AF! 1st cycle off pill though so I kinda expected it to be a long one! Pissed on a couple of sticks but both BFN. I just wish AF would hurry up then I can try again!!

Shelb - I've had what I'd describe as mild cramps in my lower abdomen on and off today. Around 4pm I consistently had sharp stinging pains on the left hand side - these would last for a few seconds each. Although the day before I had all over cramps really, left and right. CD 23, according to Clue the witch should arrive on Dec 7th, and according to Ovia, the 8th. We shall see what happens...I have no patience!!I want to know what's happening now!

Well I'm an emotional roller coaster! I'm due on, I'm late, I can feel it about to happen and I've honestly never been so sad about it! Which is really weird! I've never willed my body not to have a period before! It's so strange! Me and Dh were supposed to have a night in, just us, film and a Chinese, I've been looking forward to it all day, had my first cBT session yesterday morning so was feeling quite drained anyway and then Dh gets in from the gym and immediately gets called into work as an emergency to cover a shift! Gutted! And now I can't sleep, but I've decided, tomorrow, I'm getting up, transferring some money and I'm going to start Christmas shopping online I'm getting in bed now, getting warm and snuggly and settling down for a snooze!

Starky Are you able to have a night in tonight with your DP instead? I'm sure he would have been disappointed to have to go into work too.

DH and I are now TTC! He's totally fine with it - and I'm the scared one. We are just going to do what we normally do without contraception and see what happens rather than making any special efforts around fertile days etc. We want it to happen but are happy just to go with the flow for now.

Well I've either got a uti (quite possible on account of the unusual amount of shagging I've been doing), or ive got wind as I've got a really strange feeling right above my pubic bone. I know it couldn't possible be anything else on CD17 - but it's nice to be able to vent the crazy on here rather than in front of OH!

Stark that's rubbish, stuff like that happening always really upsets me too.
Has AF arrived yet? Hopefully it's not on its way but if it is then console yourself with naughty food and prepare yourself for next month.

Leonie - woo hoo with the TTC this month!

My OH has also agreed to bring our timeline forward so we are going to TTC this month now rather than starting in January. I'm sure this has probably been mentioned earlier in the old thread, but what are people doing about alcohol when TTC? My fertile window this month will start on 13th December, so if things were to work super quick I could be pregnant come Christmas but not actually know. I'm not a massive drinker anyway, but are the rest of you staying off alcohol while TTC or just once you've got a BFP? I wouldn't miss alcohol either way to be honest, but just preparing myself in case I have to make excuses for not drinking!!

I'm drinking until I get BFP. In the first weeks the egg is nourished by the yolk sack so no alcohol is passed on. But like you I'm not a big drinker anyway.

That's rubbish Stark - it is so strange when you are actively willing yourself not to come on! Duvet and chocolates etc is the way forward.

Shelb - fingers crossed for you it's not wind!! But I am finding this month pure torture seeing as I don't know what's happening down there...probably wind knowing my luck! FYI - no cramps today. Yet. Hmm

Hi Pink - I think like Runner, I'm going to drink until I get BFP. If this process takes a while and you raise a few eyebrows now, just think how suspicious people are going to be in the 12 week window when you have to say no! i.e. before you can divulge you are upduffed! I don't drink much in any case...but if I do get a BFP this month I'm going to have to think up some excuses over Christmas!! At the moment, I don't drink unless I'm in a social situation, and then I hang on to my glass/bottle as long as possible. Antibiotics is apparently code to those in the know that you are preggers, so I think I'm just going to have a banging headache..the other suggestion is that you get DP/DH to go up and get a 'JD/rum/alcohol and coke' and then he brings you back a plain coke! Just make sure he goes to the bar by himself!

Also feeling pretty down today considering the news. However, I have no desire whatsoever to turn this thread into a political one - there are plenty of those on MN already!

I was wondering why the forum had gone quiet...my email notifications had stopped! I've missed alot!

Morwenna both ovulation and "hopefully implantation" pains were just like menstrual cramps. The ov ones were on the right side, stuck around all day for one day, plus had backache (was at the cinema that evening and couldn't find a position to sit in that didn't hurt my back!). With the "hopefully implantation" pains 5 days after ov I initially thought I was having hunger pangs! It wasn't til I focused on it I realised it was more like menstrual cramps, on the left side. Noticed it a couple of times during that evening. Nothing really since. No spotting.

I think I'll adopt the same approach Mor, b fairly relaxed this time and drink an odd glass and then as and when a BFP comes along I won't have anything.

stark I totally know some of how your feeling. I had already taken an FR test at the weekend which was negative and then yesterday I had some spotting that was slightly different anyway started hoping again only for another negative test this morning (on the day I was supposed to test). It seems im going to be late with my period too which adds to the emotions. I know it was only the first proper month of trying but you do get your hopes up despite trying to convince yourself to be calm about it.

When I feel well enough I am going to enjoy a big glass of wine! I am enjoying the fact Christimas time is here I love this time of year.

I know what you mean, trying not to get hopes up on cycle one but still doing it anyway. Think it's a woman thing isn't it.

Hi All - not sure what to do now. OH just found out company he works for will be making redundancies and his job is at risk, it will almost certainly go in the new year.

Also AF showed up again (?) on CD9?! Plus point it gives me a little longer to see what comes up before next fertile window.

Aww Purple I know how you feel. It's exactly how I felt last month. The fact that AF was late and that I spotted and then it stopped really bothered me but once AF arrived I actually felt much better. It's the not knowing that is upsetting.

My fertile week starts middle of next week so I'm hopping I can stay far more chilled this time

DH is home with superdrugs own tests. Im using one tomorrow then nothing until Monday if it's negative.

456 that sounds pretty awful. I'm so sorry. At least now he knows he can look for somehow else and has time to do so.

I've been quite relaxed with alcohol. Again I don't drink much. But I've had some spiced cider and a glass of wine this month. I'm hoping to know one way or another before I go to Paris next week. If we get a BFP then despite the super early timing we will tell our parents as we're all together and it'll be a good moment to tell them all. It'll be a big giveaway if I'm not drinking over my birthday and my parents are desperate to be grandparents. AF is due before I go away so I'll know one way or another.

Stupid cycle means I test before AF is due and I'm actually even late. I ovulate 3 weeks before the witch comes it would seem. So although I'm not due her visit for another 5 days I'm supposed to test tomorrow. Anyone else testing this week?

456 sorry, missed your post. That's a shame about OH and AF.
Will OH get a good redundancy package to tide you over? I know it's still a worry but at least the job market is fairly buoyant at the moment.
