Mrs I'd call the doctors and the hospital, nothing to lose!

mascaraisamust · 15/01/2016 17:35

And I'd call to get a private appointment if you've not heard anything!

Sunshine, I think they peak at 7dpo and then start to drop, I had mine at 6dpo and apparently it was ok.

Mrsunusure, I've booked my private appt for the 24th Feb. If you don't hear back on email just give the clinic a call when you can, honestly it is such a different experience already just in dealing with the reception staff.

Ended up speaking to our GPs secretary, apparently she did send off the referral back at the start of Dec and will chase it up for us - but just shows how slow it is so glad we have the private appt sorted. We are sick of waiting now too so will try to go private as much as we can just to speed things along. x

mrsrose33 · 15/01/2016 17:44

Sunshine2015 I ended up having my day "21" test 3 days before my period came as my luteal phase had shortened and I hadn't realised. They could still tell I ovulated (levels were almost too low but just above) so 8dpo will be absolutely fine :)

Sunshinegirl2015 · 15/01/2016 21:42

Thanks all GP came back to me and said although not ideal Monday (8DPO) is fine. Booked an appointment with the GP to get the results and next available appointment isn't until 16th February! It's a long old process.

sunshinegirl12 · 16/01/2016 08:34

That is a long time to have to wait Sunshine!!

How is everyone in the 2ww getting on? Mrsunsure, have you heard back from the clinic yet?

I've been getting a lot of cramps from about 4dpo this cycle, I have had them in previous cycles but this month they are more noticeable, it does make me worry that something is wrong in there. I've been looking into starting acupuncture, I really need something to help me de-stress but as I'm so scared of needles it could go either way. x

Keeks220 · 16/01/2016 11:05

Hi, hope u don't mind me chipping in, I've been following this thread & have found your advice useful & support 4 each other encouraging. So I've just seen sunshinegirl112 talking about acupuncture just wanted to offer my info (felt right seen as tho I've followed tips from this thread!)
Acupuncture was my 'new thing to try' for December. I've had 21 day blood tests by gp only to be told 'no action required' after a few months & still no luck I questioned the results only to be told to repeat the test and I'm now waiting for my appt my to review the results. Having totally fell out with gp and sick of waiting I looked into acupuncture.
First session was 2hrs and bit like a counselling session, he wanted to know life story to build up picture as u never know what might have happened in past could be affecting you. Then the treatment I got(whereabouts the needles went) was specific to what I had told him & what I wanted to achieve (ie BFP!)
I went once a week for 1 month now going once a month (it is quite expensive!).
Unfortunately I wasn't one who had one treatment & bam pregnant Sad but I can say I noticed a positive difference, spotting b4 AF went to 2 days rather than what it had been b4 (spotting used to start sometimes 5 days b4 AF) and the AF in itself was different, more proper rather than stop/start. Waiting to see what next month will b like Hmm
One of the main things also is it can help reduce stress & I do feel less crazy mental on the ttc subject!!
The needles don't hurt going in but they tweek them once they're in bcos they have to b deep enough to work so u feel the tweek! Some stay in, some r just in & out. I don't watch really but I've had a peek!
Sorry for long post but just wanted to share my experience if it can be of any help, best wishes to all xx

OrianaBanana · 16/01/2016 11:41

Small amount of bleeding, bright red at 8dpo. No cramps though, so back to wondering if this is AF or not.

Sad I was quite positive this cycle too.

FuzzyOwl · 16/01/2016 12:07

Hi everyone sorry I have been so slack with keeping up. I think I am in the 2ww (or 10 day wait for me) now.

Sorry for all of those with AF or BFNs.

How long is your LP usually Oriana? Could it be implantation bleeding?

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

sunshinegirl12 · 16/01/2016 12:09

Hi Keeks, good to hear you've been finding this thread useful and thankyou for your advice. I definitely need something to calm me down so think that alone might make it worthwhile for me. Just a little worried as I have a needle phobia, DH will think I've lost my mind when I tell him. Where abouts do they put them? I think I might give it a go, I'm starting to feel a bit deperate now.

Oriana, has the bleeding stopped yet? Fx its not AF. x

mrsmugoo · 16/01/2016 12:12

Acupuncture needles just literally get "tapped" in, you don't even feel them!

FuzzyOwl · 16/01/2016 12:42

Acupuncture needles don't really look like needles, more like flimsy wire that probably only go a couple of mm in. They will probably go in between your thumb and first finger, your big and little toe, around your calf/knee area and also in your stomach. I can't remember all the fertility and chi spots I used to have them in, because I also had them treating other things at the same time.

No idea if it is a coincidence or not, but both times I got pregnant where when I was having regular acupuncture.

Keeks220 · 16/01/2016 13:42

Hi yes all the places fuzzy owl describes is exactly where I've had them, except for the first appointment. He put them in my back. Think this was specific to my treatment but it was a good way to ease me in to it you couldn't see or feel them!

SharyBobbins · 16/01/2016 15:51

Mascara, I had a private reassurance scan today.
I'm devastated to say that I've had a missed miscarriage. They were twins. Totally heartbroken.

mrsmugoo · 16/01/2016 15:53

Oh god Shary, I'm so very sorry :(

mrsrose33 · 16/01/2016 15:55

Oh my god Shary, I'm so so sorry. That's awful :(

So so sorry Shary xx

sunshinegirl12 · 16/01/2016 16:24

Thanks for the acupuncture info, that's worse than I expected as I just thought it would all be in my back where I couldn't see it. Still, I think I will give it a go.

I agree with you Mrsunsure so now evey morning I'm giving myself one thing a day to look forwards to just to cheer myself along, even if its something tiny like having a long hot bubbly bath or my favourite pudding.

Ladies, do we need to make a new luteal phase #3 thread? x

OrianaBanana · 16/01/2016 16:55

So so sorry Shary.

OrianaBanana · 16/01/2016 17:22

Sunshine and FuzzyOwl spotting at 7 or 8 dpo is absolutely standard for me I'm afraid and is inevitably followed by AF on 9 or 10 dpo. Still spotting xx

mascaraisamust · 16/01/2016 18:44

Shary, I am so, so sorry Sad take care of yourself.

FuzzyOwl · 16/01/2016 19:33

So sorry Shary. I hope you have lots of RL support. FlowersSad

I hope on this occasion it is not going to lead to AF Oriana.
