mascara I have a nutribullet and would highly recommend it! I think it makes you feel great when you think you're eating well. Also fun experimenting with smoothies although I did have a disaster with a vegetable and peanut butter smoothie yuck!!!

I'm still here. We had a last minute spontaneous break to a remote part of the country. On some very slow wifi right now. AF arrived this evening so I think I ovulated later than usual on CD25 this month meaning I had an 11day LP again so that's something. Up from my original 9days. No pain too which is great!

Think I'll miss Ovulation for November though as DH is abroad for work.

I also have the nutribullet and it's helped me get more greens in to my diet! On the cycle 10 for me. Fx we don't miss ovulation x

Soooo... my nhs gp just called me out of the blue. I have a vitamin D deficiency apparently and she told me to collect the prescription tomorrow morning, two tablets twice a day. That could explain a few things!

Thanks all for the blender recommendations! sunshine15 glad you had a nice break, I'm the same this month too with DH being away on ovulation, well I think it's when I'll ovulate anyway!

Hi sunshine15! Boo for the witch arriving but 11 day LP is really promising. Fingers crossed for catching that egg soon!!

P.s another vote for nutribullet here. I often make a breakfast smoothie in mine with berries, spinach, hemp milk, banana, oats etc

Re: missing out cycles...I missed actively trying for 3 in a row due to us bring in tents at festivals for my DHs work. It actually allowed me to stop obsessing over tww's and enjoy myself a bit. I continued to track/chart/opk etc so I could monitor LP (which stayed at a crappy 7/8 days) but I meant that I actually had a great summer!! It's good to take the foot off the pedal for a bit every now and again I think.

Mascara, I read a study a while back that Vitamin D (specifically D3) is strongly linked with fertility, I even went out and bought a load, so fingers crossed it helps you x

mascaraisamust · 22/10/2015 19:50

Got the prescription as I was calling home and it says D3, could this have been an issue all along?!

Doesn't say, just says 400 unit, twice a day...

OP posts:

mascaraisamust · 22/10/2015 20:35

Ah it is 400IU twice a day. 400IU is 200% RDA, so having it twice a day I must have been pretty low.

So, on Ovia this morning it pops up 'vitamin D is one of the most important nutrients for female fertility as it regulates hormones and ovulation..93% of women who had infertility problems had a vitamin D deficiency according to one study' - Hmm

Could this be the reason I conceived in the height of summer?!

That's really interesting mascara!

Glad you had a nice time away sunshine, good to get away from the everyday grind sometimes.

Nothing new to report from my end, just waiting til next Sunday for my reassurance scan. Although I am in a bit of a quandry about what to do about work. Last time I had a scan at 6 weeks because of bleeding so told my boss after that to make sure a risk assessment was in place etc (building surveyor so up ladders, on sites etc). I'm not really wanting to tell anyone til 12 weeks this time but I have my performance review next week and I feel crappy talking about plans for next year when all being well I'll be disappearing, we've also just won a massive job and he wants to chat about how we manage it as a team on Monday. Aaargh! He's so nice, so I know if I do tell him it wont impact upon my review or pay rise, but I'm feeling a bit supersticious about it all. Any thoughts?

Mascara. I was taking bit D3 too (amongst millions of other pills). I researched loads of vits and took them all! I'll see if I can find my list. I was rattling!

That's really interesting Mascara!

Mrs 11 day LP is good but actually think it was 12days as yesterday seemed to be really light spotting. Is that odd to go 9LP, 10LP, 11LP, 12LP each month? I thought LP wasn't meant to change :s

Sanch is there any chance you could not tell your boss yet and tell him after the review and say you found out late perhaps? A girl I work with had pcos and didn't find out until she was 10weeks for example.

Report
sunshinegirl12 · 23/10/2015 20:11

Sanch, I think it all just depends on the relationship you have with your boss, I know I wouldn't tell my work until I was a bit further on, but then my boss can be a bit funny when it cones to things like that. (She is in her 50s now and doesn't have any children, whenever I mention to anyone about having a family in the future she will purposefully stop what she is doing to give me a dirty look or roll her eyes, it's almost comical. I cannot wait until the day I get to tell her I'm pregnant.)

Thanks ladies. I think if it was after my reassurance scan, and all was ok I'd tell him, but as its before I won't. He probably won't even compute when I tell him that I would have known at the review, he's not really interested in stuff like that! And he's lovely so he'll only be pleased whenever I tell him. Have told my sister now so feel less like bursting!

Thats good news Mascara. I'm on CD12 today according to FF am meant to ovulate tomorrow. Have felt a lot more relaxed this month, haven't been thinking about it non stop or thinking up random ttc stuff to google, will see if I can stay in this frame of mind during the 2ww.

Mrsmugoo, is it this week you have your scan? x

Sunshine I've been a lot more chilled so far too. It's helping that I'm going away so I've got lots of distractions. I'll be back home 6 days before AF is due so it will feel like a nice and short tww for me. If I do get my peak tomorrow it will be 5 days early though Confused

I had it yesterday - saw a little blob with a heartbeat, all looks just fine and my dates are spot on. Looks like I'm having a baby!
