5 CHEMICAL PREGNANCIES

Just had my 5th 'chemical pregnancy' in a row. Can't quite believe it now, it's just becoming the norm for me. I can't ever imagining seeing that little line get progressively darker the way it should. I'm testing positive 9-10dpo each time and each time the line gets stronger for a 3-6 days days then all of sudden my symptoms stop and the line fades away. I went to the doctors and she said it's a 'good sign' my bodies rejecting bad cells and that I'm getting pregnant so easily in the first place, but whats the point if I can't hold them?? I'd rather not get pregnant at all… my body and my hormones are in a total mess and this is starting to affect my relationship. Whats stopping my little one's from hanging on? They can't all be bad cells, something must be stopping them. I just don't know what to do. I'm on all the best vitamins and I even tried baby aspirin this time round. I just don't know what to do anymore...

queenrollo · 16/11/2015 14:55

I had recurrent chemical pregnancy when TTC no2. All my blood test results came back normal, and ultrasound was fine. I did have an HSG test, and while not pleasant it finally showed a problem with my left tube/ovary. They had fused together causing what is called a hydrosalpinx. Doing some research suggested that this was causing me to lose the pregnancies. My Consultant dismissed this out of hand (he was an arrogant arse about loads of stuff though).
I had surgery to correct the issue and I got pregnant the month after. My nearly 3 year old is now snoozing on the sofa.

I am still certain to this day that hydrosalpinx was causing my repeated losses.

kanelindsey · 16/11/2015 16:52

All good dear am still here!! Bfn this month today on 11dpo so think im out this month but staying hopeful for next month!!

I agree with the aspirin i self prescribed as well because it felt work the risk after so many losses although it still hasnt worked out for me yet...my af is also stupidly light which i find super frustrating as the aspirin didnt seen to make it any heavier i my case....

YES coco!!!! So excites a big fat confrats to you now this is it...think its safe to step away from the pee sticks now when is ur first scan?? So happy for u xxx

Vap0 · 17/11/2015 15:37

Hello all

I had my bfp this morning! So amazingly excited! DP is concerned I'm too excited as he is worried it may not end well again. I just can't help the grin on my face Grin. So, I have an appointment with the dr in half an hour where I'll ask for some progesterone. Really hope they say yes. I'll tell them about the asprin I've been taking and see what they say about that. I just hope they don't say stop taking it as I'm scared that if I stop I may miscarry again. 10dpo

Best of luck to everyone else!

pps. I've realised now that the boys worry more than us… I'm relaxed now and although know I can still easily lose this bubba and it's very early days I am at least starting to 'feel pregnant' DH however is still in denial, I think the losses got to him more than I realised. The best thing for you is just to be positive and think, this is the one! xxx

Queen thanks for sharing your story and I'm so glad you got your little one in the end, my neighbour tried for a couple of years then had her tubes 'flushed' out and although they didn't think they were blocked she fell the next month too and now has a gorgeous little girl. Although yours was more complex it sounds similar, we just don't think of these things there's so much that cause these losses here do we start? :( xxx

Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
I'm so excited!
Dr said they don't prescribe progesterone anymore, she said it is something from a long time ago.
Told her about aspirin
She said they would advise against it
She said it wasn't a problem if I choose to continue taking it but she would stop. Will see how I feel about it in the morning whether to take it.
She was lovely this Dr.
Really put my mind at rest
She said to collect a midwife pack on the way out but they had ran out!
Typical!
Need to go back next week
So the blood test I had said my progesterone was only 27.1
It needs to be over 30 to confirm ovulation.
I asked if I hadn't been in today whether they would be telling me I hadn't ovulated.
She wouldn't answer that one.
I knew my hormone levels were low
Anyway, just to chill out now and hope for the best!

wantingno2 · 18/11/2015 12:00

I got a 3+ today with the most diluted wee ever so hormones must be strong I'm 5+2 today Grin

Vap and wanting so happy for you, lets hope this is the thread of luck for us all! Really hoping santa brings you the best pressie ever Kane :)

Someone tried to break into our house last night when me and my little girl were in here, I've felt sick on and off since, I think it's somehow triggered my morning sickness, my DD has a cold and I can't even wipe her snotty nose without gagging today it's just come on full whack. Hoping everything is okay and it's a good sign!

Hugs to you all xxx

ow god thats terrible coco I bet that was scary did they get in? how many weeks are you now I'm 5+2 it's going slow had my blood taken today to check hormone levels and I'm waiting on a letter for an early scan I've not really felt sick but have really sore nipples I can't even touch them there so sore xx

CottonSock · 19/11/2015 17:22

That's horrible coco. I had my house broken into a few years ago and you do get over the feelings of intrusion. Maybe some extra door and window locks could be fitted?

I had 8 week scan today. They now think I might have lupus anticoagulant. Has anyone else had that diagnosed? Repeat test needed before I start injecting myself. I hope its not that really, but at least it's treatable and a possible reason.

Scan a bit nerve racking as no view on external at all (there was at 6 weeks), but it looks ok. I should feel more happy, but I can't get excited yet

TattyDevine · 19/11/2015 17:36

I'm sure it's fine but it makes me wonder about luteal phase deficiency ...

kanelindsey · 29/11/2015 13:53

Hi coco any updates?? Hope all is well did u get ur scan yet? Xx

cocothomas1234 · 30/11/2015 17:07

Hi Kane, everything is going really well here :) I'm 7 weeks today and have my 3 month scan booked for 10th January. I've got awful morning sickness so spending most days with head down loo or in a bag. Started going to bed at 8pm too so poor OH isn't having much fun. Still haven't even had my first midwife appointment yet (it's booked for 2 weeks time), no one seems to be worried about the previous losses or interested in keeping an eye on this one, I'm not sure if that's good or not. Have been so tempted to have a private scan just to make sure the hearts beating etc but trying to keep myself relaxed and preying everything will be okay.

How are you lovely? When is your next cycle?

I hope everyone is doing okay xxxxxxx

Hi there hate to hijack ur thread but am lookin for sum advice from all u ladies. Me and my partner have been ttc since sept not long i know but ma period was due on fri so i took a test on sat morning when af didnt come and it showed positive. Me and my partner were ecstatic i showed him the test so i know it wasnt wishful thinkin on ma part. Later that day i fot i ll do another test to confirm before i book doctors etc the test showed negative! I wasnt too worried at that stage and fot i didnt use morning pee its still early hormone levels mite still be low etc etc. Done another 5tests the following day all negative do yous think it was a faultytest or chemical pregnancy? Should i go c doctor?

kanelindsey · 02/12/2015 10:34

Brilliant news coco!! So glad all is going well for u! Im still waiting to ovulate still no positive yet and im on cd13 so it gonna be later than usual am super frustrated waiting on it Hmm hopefully soon! Am so glad all is working out for u hunni ur still giving me hope Grin xx

cocothomas1234 · 02/12/2015 15:03

Hi Kim, hun it's no problem. You wrote this a few days ago, if the test is still coming back negative I'd probably say (only from experience) that this little one didn't stick. BUT I've had 6 chemicals this year and I'm now coming up to 8wks preggars, and with this one I did have a space of 2 days at the start where the test faded in and out of being positive (I just assumed at the start this was another chemical) then at around 10dpo it suddenly was consistently dark and getting darker every 24 hours like everything just suddenly kicked into action. But with my other ones the line never got very dark, they say they don't with chemicals, a lot of women tell me off saying the line darkness has nothing to do with it but for me personally it did, it never got darker with a chemical even over the space of 1-2 weeks but with this one it got darker day by day. But, we are all different and there are women on here who don't even get a positive until they're 2-3 weeks late and then some who have low HCG levels. I'll hope it picked up for you and keep my fingers crossed. Let us know how you got on, we've all had chemicals / early losses on here and we know how upsetting it can be to see that little line fade after the excitement of thinking you are pregnant, it's like a cruel shitty joke. Love and hugs you way xxx

I'm getting terrible morning sickness come and go in waves. The worst though is the spitting, I have to take a bag everywhere to keep spitting in it's driving me mad! Hopefully things should start to calm down in a month though. I'm 8+2 now. All good though girls just insanely tired, I have my first MW appointment tomorrow and first scan still booked 9th Jan.

How is everyone? Wanting and Vap have we lost you, is everything okay? Nutty and Kane have you got any news? xxxx
