When to expect period - Provera

EllaMenoPea · 06/10/2015 09:42

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

5th July, all being well with the pre-op on Monday.

Can't believe that your already 27 weeks flo

YouBoggleMyMind · 11/06/2016 10:05

robber never a stupid question! Basically I've got hen dos and weddings and it's just easier to confirm it after those rather than having to deal with not drinking and pretending etc. Plus I guess if I am (which I prolly won't be) it's two weeks less to wait til 12 week scan etc. I think I'm like a week to 10 days behind a typical 28 day cycle. It's hard to tell as this is the first time it's happened and I'm not using opks to know if I've ovd. There's so much uncertainty. I'm trying to keep my cool but I'm not sure it's working xxx

EllaMenoPea · 11/06/2016 12:47

robber would you go ahead with 3 follicles? At least you'd never have to go through TTC again! (Unless you want 4+ kids obvs?!)

RobberBride · 11/06/2016 15:07

Boggle you're a better woman than me - I'd much rather find out before the hen/wedding (so I could drown my sorrows if it was BFN and feel quietly happy about not drinking if BFP). But I hate hen dos normally, a sober hen do is my idea of hell.

Ella we'd go ahead with two follicles, I can cope with the thought of twins and with the thought of never having to TTC again! I'm not sure if they'd let me go ahead with three follicles, triplets can be quite risky for a normal healthy woman and I'm mildly hypermobile so I'm not sure if my body could cope with a triplet pregnancy.

YouBoggleMyMind · 11/06/2016 15:39

Problem with that is that everyone would know/question why I wasn't drinking and put two and two together. I don't want to out myself that early. I could prolly find out after the hen but would still have the wedding to deal with. I'll see. Perhaps I won't be able to deal with the wait and test at the end of June xxx

Tryingtowait · 11/06/2016 19:23

robber that's lovely they said your lining was perfect that must have really made your day. I always loved the thought of twins but I imagine it would be very challenging, triplets even more so.

boggle I really couldn't wait to find out but understand not wanting people to know so early, but you could drink like lemonade or something and say it's got archers in it if you were?

EllaMenoPea · 12/06/2016 12:00

trying are you using any fertility treatments at the moment or just ov sticks? Is there a plan with your doctor?

moomin hope you're ok? Xx

Hi, is everyone having a good weekend?

Ella how do you not have cystitis by now?? I'm so impressed. (Also, do you dtd every other day or every third day? Google is not helping with which is the 'right' option.)

Boggle have you had any ov symptoms? Only five days til your progesterone test. Will you get the results the next working day?

Trying apologies if you know this, but if you are trying to lose weight I've heard lots of good things about the GI diet helping PCOS women. I can also recommend wheatgrass shots, they are supposed to help with fertility and are so disgusting you lose your appetite.

So far this weekend I have: babysat a teething 6 month old for 5 hours on a Saturday night, taken the aforementioned wheatgrass shots, done a 2 hour fertility yoga workshop, mostly abstained from alcohol, mostly eaten lots of fertility friendly foods, and meditated. All of this woo stuff had better help with my scan tomorrow!

I'm on CD18 (dating from first day of AF, no idea what CD in menopur terms). 13th menopur shot tonight. Next scan tomorrow.

EllaMenoPea · 12/06/2016 14:37

Wow robber! I am impressed, good luck for tomorrow!! Please keep us updated.

We're doing every other!

I'm not really sure about symptoms. Tmi Alert but my discharge has a slight brown/red tinge. Should I be concerned? Also, my nips are sore, again not sure if it's anything or not!

I guess I'm just scared that this tiny shot in the dark won't come to anything. Trying so hard to not think about it.

RobberBride · 12/06/2016 16:00

Boggle if you're CD23 it could be implantation bleeding? It seems too early for AF.

EllaMenoPea · 12/06/2016 16:22

Sounds like implantation bleeding! Fingers crossed!

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/06/2016 16:35

God ladies I'm hoping that's it and not AF turning up super early!! I've had a few like twinges/cramps but just put it down to regular dtd!! Xxx

Moomin37 · 12/06/2016 18:38

Hello All :) I'm so sorry for not posting... I am always 'here' with you lovely ladies but I find it so difficult to reply on my phone and have had a rubbish week. I'm so far behind, I don't know where to start!

Robber well done for a stabtastic couple of weeks and for a good lining. Plus I'm well impressed with what you've been up to this weekend!I'm looking back at my diary to see how things went and here is a quick summary:

Round Two (started on 75 and later on alternated between 75 and 150)
Day One: 2.9mm lining (thin enough to just start stabbing without using Provera to induce a bleed)
Day Seven: approx. 4mm lining, 11mm on right and 9mm on left (often they can't see the left as it hides)
Day Nine: 2x10mm on each side
Day 12: follies smaller, lining thinner, estradiol lower
Day 14: 4.9mm lining, 1x 10mm and 1x 9mm
Day 16: three follies 16mm / 13mm / 11mm
Day 18: HCG trigger

For round three, the BFP round (alternated between 75 and 150) :
Day Eight: 3mm lining, 11mm follie
Day 10: 6mm lining, 11mm and 10mm on right ovary, 300 estradiol
Day 13: 9mm lining, 16mm follie (left ovary no-where to be seen)
Day 14: HCG trigger shot

The fertility nurses were extremely cautious re multiple births and said they were so relieved when they scanned me at 6+3 that there was only one in there. On the third round they did warn me before the HCG trigger that they couldn't see the left ovary, so there was a risk that a large follie was growing over there too. However, when I had my viability scan they said my final estradiol score was 600 (I think) and they thought from that I'd probably be safe (i.e. not much happening on the left side).

So I'm wishing you all the best for the scan tomorrow and I'll be thinking of you :) Hopefully the follies have had a word with each other / sorted things out with scissors/paper/stone and agreed who is going to take the lead ;)

Right I'm clicking 'post' before I lose all of this!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/06/2016 18:41

Sorry to hear you've had a rubbish week moomin xxx

Moomin37 · 12/06/2016 20:42

Hey Boggle I'm so excited about your lead follie, lining and brown discharge Grin I had brown discharge the day before my BFP... it started darker and got lighter throughout the day and had stopped by early evening. I'm so crossing my fingers for you x.

Bad week due to my cat being very ill (kidney failure) Sad She has been at the vets since Wednesday and on a drip. They haven't found the cause yet and we still don't know what will happen. We're off work next week so have cancelled our holiday as we wouldn't enjoy it and we want to be close by so we can keep visiting her each day. We've also been struggling with bad colds, hate the hot weather and have ridiculous workloads. Oh and not meaning to sound ungrateful, but on top of that I feel ill (sicky) all the time and the range of food I can tolerate keeps shrinking! Have lost 1.5 KG since my BFP oops.

On a happier note, being the paranoid person I am we paid for a private scan yesterday and saw something now resembling a baby inside me, still with a strong heartbeat Star So we are extremely grateful and looking forward to finding out when the 12 week scan is (I'm 8+5 today). Have midwife appointment on Saturday.

Right I need to get my star in gear and reply to everyone else!

Moomin37 · 12/06/2016 20:49

Well done with the relaxed approach and EODing Ella Smile Have you been to CP yet?

Great to hear from you as always Eskimo - wow 27 weeks! Does time go faster the further you get through the pregnancy? I seriously need to buy some new bras as my boobs are enormous and my current bras can't cope - I'm wobbling about all over the shop and having to make a conscious effort to walk slowly through the office so as not to attract attention to myself Wink

Moomin37 · 12/06/2016 21:00

Good luck for the pre-op Amy and I hope it all goes well and you're back to TTC before you know it Smile

Welcome Trying Smile As you already have one DC I'm guessing you won't qualify for fertility treatment, so it might be worth getting what you can from your GP now (e.g. blood tests) and then going private?

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/06/2016 21:15

Sorry to hear about your cat moomin Sad
I think it's too early for it to be AF and its defo too early to test. I'm just hoping it something to do with ovulation or implanting or something good!

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/06/2016 21:20

Just looking online and it seems too early for it to be implantation? Says it takes like 6-10 days after ovulation so even if I did ovulate on Wednesday, cd19, it's only been 5 days. Back to the drawing board. Confused

Moomin37 · 12/06/2016 21:24

Oh don't worry about that Boggle - if you look online then my brown discharge was too late to be implantation bleeding but it was. Sit tight! Smile

Tryingtowait · 12/06/2016 21:39

Whoa so much posted on here today, apologies if I miss anyone out I've been on a 12 hour shift and am tired but too worked up to sleep atm.

ella I usually temp, don't bother with ov sticks as get false surges with the pcos. I've not been to the doctor yet as only done 6 cycles but wondering if it might be worth it as I know I have pcos and I read metformin can help with fertility and weight loss.

robber yes I've heard of the gi diet for pcos I've been really giving myself a talking to lately because work has been stressful I've been comfort eating at 8pm when I finish, really not good and I need to keep reminding myself i need to do this if I want another baby.

boggle I've got everything crossed for you it sounds positive.

moonmin big congrats to you. Makes it so much more real when you see baby on the scan. I'm not sure I could afford going private atm will have to look into what it might cost me and weigh it up.

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/06/2016 21:57

I'm just doubting everything cos I'm nervous! Xxx
