When to expect period - Provera

EllaMenoPea · 06/10/2015 09:42

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

The waiting is rubbish, hopefully they can let you know ASAP. I only waited 2 months I think, so not too bad. The op itself was fine, I think moomin has had one too? I was terrified about having general anaesthetic but I loved it Blush anyway....this could all be very hypothetical chat, it may never happen!

Don't be scared Boggle a lap is nothing to worry about and like Ella I've heard lots of success stories Smile We'll all be here with you Flowers

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/06/2016 20:58

Thank you moomin and ella. I hope that I don't have to wait long.
Where are you in your cycle ella and how are you feeling moomin? Xxx

EllaMenoPea · 01/06/2016 21:13

I'm on cd 9, not going to be scanned or buy ov tests this time. Just going to DTD regularly and hope for the best!

You OK robber? How are you feeling today?

And amy?

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 01/06/2016 21:22

Yes, sorry amy and robber, how are you both?

Perhaps that's the way forward ella. More relaxed approach? I really hope this is your cycle xxxx

EllaMenoPea · 01/06/2016 21:43

Me too boggle but I don't think that 50mg of Clomid is going to work for me this time. Looking to having IUI I think. I'll do these last 2 rounds though.

OP posts:
RobberBride · 01/06/2016 22:42

Boggle I'm so sorry to hear that. You're not yet out for this month, CD12 is quite early, lots of women ov on clomid waaay after CD20 - like Eskimo for example! And like the others, I've heard of so many women getting pg straight after a lap. When you go back for your scan next week can you ask about likely operation dates?

Ella I like your style - very laid back! The best way to be for TTC. Where are you going on holiday?

Moomin how are you feeling now? Please keep telling us about your pg symptoms, I love hearing a success story unfold! (You too Eskimo!) And food cravings or anything fun? I once worked with a pg woman who used to smother peanut butter on top of a peanut butter kitkat chunky. She had us all eating them by the time she went on mat leave!

Amy I hope you're ok. How is your knee?

I'm fine, thanks for asking. I've got no side effects so far, though I'm only on a low dose (75). Moomin when did your side effects kick in? I tried to watch DH prep the needle and stab me (in case he gets ill or goes away for work and I have to stab myself). I managed to get up to the point where he was about to insert the plunger and then felt sick. He'd better stick around, I don't think I could do that to myself!

RobberBride · 01/06/2016 22:47

PS Moomin your post made me laugh. This was DH's face when he discovered what Menopur was made of: hemogoblinn.tumblr.com/post/33336459152/dat-face-xd

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/06/2016 22:49

I guess we just wait and see what happens next week. It'll be cd19 so if anything is going to happen, I would have thought it would show itself then! If not, it's a waiting game for this letter and a date.

Thank god I have you ladies. Thank you for being there for me xxx

EllaMenoPea · 02/06/2016 09:57

His long do you have to stab for robber?

We are going to Centre Parcs with the toddler so not really what they mean by go on holiday and relax....hopefully it'll still work though Grin

What cd did you ov eskimo?

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/06/2016 10:49

I love CP! Which one are you going to ella? Xxx

RobberBride · 02/06/2016 21:45

I love CP too, anywhere with crazy golf sounds like a holiday to me Grin. Is it next week Ella? I hope the weather improves, it looks better from Sunday.

Boggle hope you're feeling a bit better today? Only 6 days til the next scan. BTW, how's your job going?

It sounds like 23-25 days is an average amount of stabbing for a first Menopur round. I think Moomin said her earlier rounds were over 20 days and her last one was 19 days. I've got my first scan next Tuesday; I'll have had 7 injections by that point. After that they scan me every few days. I'm feeling oddly calm about the whole thing.

EllaMenoPea · 02/06/2016 21:59

Aw I've never been, you guys have got me excited!

I didn't realise you had to stab for so long, good luck for Tuesday robber!

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/06/2016 22:25

ella CP is excellent. I hope you have the best time.

I'm feeling ok thanks robber. Still worried about this op but it's likely to be ages away so I guess I can cling on to the hope of maybe falling pregnant naturally before then?! I'm sure some days it'll be ok and some it won't be. Just have to take it as it comes.

My job is going really well. Best decision I made to leave my old job. So much less stress and shorter hours. I'm happier for it. There was no guilt or questions about taking time off to go to my scan.

Xxx

RobberBride · 02/06/2016 22:50

Ella my top CP tip is to take a really decent bikini/costume/vest top to wear on the water slides. I saw so many women end up in dodgy states of undress after their bikini/costume couldn't cope with the flumes!

Boggle really glad about your job, you deserve a nice place.

Moomin37 · 03/06/2016 06:28

I can't keep up with you all! Will post properly later, but just wanted to say I'm a big CP fan too Smile It's hard to think of one top tip... the barrier in the car park officially opens at 3pm, but often they raise it earlier (2:30/2:45pm) so get your car in the queue ready to drive straight in, chuck everything in your villa, drop the car back (by then there will be grid lock) and leg it to the pool as it'll be really quiet as the people leaving that day have probably done their final swim and everyone else is sat in their car/faffing about in their villa! Also beware the restaurants get booked up, particularly on the last night l, so plan ahead. The takeaway is really good (Italian, Chinese and Indian) and I think they deliver free on Monday nights. The garlic bread pizzas are HUGE! Anyway, really must get my arise in gear otherwise I'll be late.

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/06/2016 10:34

I have defo been one of those women in a state of undress on the Rapids!

Pottery painting is also great and very relaxing. This was my last pottery painting item.

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/06/2016 17:35

Got my letter from the Fertilty clinic saying I'm on a waiting list for lap, dye and ovarian drilling. 16 week waiting list... Bah xxx

EllaMenoPea · 03/06/2016 19:23

Gah boggle that's great you've already got the letter through, sorry it's a long wait....will you keep trying in the mean time, as in using clomid?

Thank you 3 so much for the CP advice, I feel I've been missing out now...everyone's been!!

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 03/06/2016 19:42

I have a round of 150mg clomid left but it's prolly not wise to use it unmonitored.

All I can do is get my body in the best place and hope I might fall naturally?? If not, I'm being key holed open!! Xxx

AmyC86 · 04/06/2016 05:21

Hey girls, sorry I've not been on in a few days, all work and no play at the moment for me xx

I'm cd#41 tonight during my night shift in had a bit of a show when I wiped, nothing dramatic. Seems a bit weird after so many days, I was fully expecting to have to rearrange provera. Obviously, I still may have to and this might just be some random thing.

I'm also 3 days into a low gi diet Ive also knocked dairy on the head too at the moment, even though it's only 3 days I'm feeling great! - also what a coincidence about the show!

My knee is fits and starts, suppose it comes with the territory of my job etc hopefully this surgery will sort it out. It will be keyhole.

Anyhow, that's all from me, I'll catch up with the ins and outs of you lot later, just wanted to touch base Smile

EllaMenoPea · 05/06/2016 19:16

Has AF decided to show up yet amy?

How is everyone?

OP posts:
AmyC86 · 06/06/2016 01:28

Not yet Ella Ive had some spotting though.

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/06/2016 20:14

Follow up scan tomorrow to check if anything has changed and then it's a 15 week wait for a lap, dye and ovarian drilling. I've read that ovarian drilling is very successful. 80% of women go on to ovulate and 50% get pregnant within a year of having it done. Silver lining?

How are we all? Xxx

EllaMenoPea · 07/06/2016 21:00

Let us know how tomorrow goes boggle. That's a huge silver lining....just get lots of nice things booked in to keep you distracted.

I'm on day 15 (I think) so just shagging really.

Hope everyone else is OK?
