When to expect period - Provera

EllaMenoPea · 06/10/2015 09:42

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

Hi eskimo Smile glad to hear the baby is coming along nicely, can't wait to hear what you're having! sorry to hear about your tooth though Thanks

Yay to AF boggle, will you take clomid? From what I know you can have a 'period' without ovulation....I think that's what I normally, very helpfully, do!

Looking forwards to updates moomin and robber

X

Eskimo so lovely to hear about you and your Bump, but your poor tooth! At least you get free dental treatment when pregnant (small consolation I know!) Are you taking extra calcium? I know from friends that growing a baby can affect your teeth.

Boggle go go aunty flo! Like Ella I've heard that you can have a period without ovulation. Do you temp or similar?

Moomin so happy to hear you sounding so positive. In what way do you feel back in the driving seat? trying to get inspired to do that too

Ella I check for ov by blood test, first one two weeks tomorrow. How are you doing?

AFM I slept like a log last night and feel so much better today. I'm also excited to be off tomorrow night to see my best friend in London for a very child unfriendly weekend - sushi restaurants, cocktail bars, swanky coffee shops, hushed galleries and so on. I hope you all have similarly fun things planned! Wine

EllaMenoPea · 07/04/2016 20:22

Your weekend sounds lovely robber!

I had another bastard flashy smiley today, crossing my fingers for a solid tomorrow!

RobberBride · 07/04/2016 21:36

Fingers crossed Ella! Hope you're DTD anyway, those bastard flashing things aren't always accurate...

EllaMenoPea · 07/04/2016 21:49

Thanks robber, yep we've been at it since Sunday, so romantic!

Feeling guilty as not managed to reply and must have missed the post about your tooth earlier Eskimo Shock

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/04/2016 22:47

I don't temp no. I guess we just wait and see what happens. I have nothing to go by so will wait until May to start again with provera and clomid if AF doesn't turn by herself again.
Still spotting so hopefully will turn into more in the next couple of days!

Moomin37 · 10/04/2016 21:15

Right then I'm hoping to catch up with everyone's updates now!

Boggle I'm hoping the painters have arrived properly and you've started on the Clomid? You have waited such a long time. When the painters rocked up after 12 months I seem to recall that it was a slow start and I wasn't sure whether I would have a proper period or not, but I jolly well did.

Ellla I hope the solid smiley arrived and the DTDing has been going well, so to speak Confused What CD are you on and when are you planning to test?

Robber any news about your injectables?

Eskimo it's great to hear from you as always Smile although I'm sorry to hear about your tooth. I can't believe it's almost time for your next scan and so exciting that you're finding out the sex - will you tell people or keep it as a surprise?

AFM I feel like a different person now that I've finished the pill. I had hoped the painters would have arrived today, but no sign, literally as I don't feel premenstrual at all (whereas I have when previous rounds of stabbing have not worked and I've had a bleed). Ho hum I'll just have to be patient and I'll ring the clinic if nothing happens in a couple of days.

EllaMenoPea · 11/04/2016 08:33

They're still flashing! Argh!

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 11/04/2016 12:31

I think i'm being dense but what does AFM mean?

AF started properly but not taking Clomid. I can't risk not getting SMP at my new job and the timings don't work now. I'll start again in after 35 days in May with Provera and take round 4 of Clomid. It's annoying but I was expecting AF to rock up! Always the way hey!

I had no classic AF symptoms Moomin so hopefully AF will turn up and surprise you like it did me.

Ella what does flashing smilies mean?

EllaMenoPea · 11/04/2016 13:47

I think it means 'as for me'.

It's great that AF turned up anyway boggle, no need to take Clomid if you have the Provera waiting for you anyway.

Flashy smileys mean you're about to ovulate but you're only supposed to have about 2 days of this before ovulation and I've had a week Confused

YouBoggleMyMind · 11/04/2016 16:11

Ahh ok, yes! that makes sense!

I'm pretty pleased that AF turned up on her own. It feels like a little step toward the end goal!

Hmm, well I guess smilies are better than nothing at all? Still, fingers crossed for a solid smiley soon! xxx

Moomin37 · 12/04/2016 06:26

Ah of course Boggle sorry I forgot about the SMP - but it's still brilliant news that your body produced AF on its own Smile

Ella I've often pondered getting a Clear Blue smiley thing but have seen so many people in your position getting confused, frustrated and upset when it does strange things that I figured they aren't worth the hassle or expense. Also I'm not sure how effective they are, particularly for ladies with bodies that don't behave in a predictable way! This is my rather long winded way of saying try not to worry and think positive - you may well have ovulated in any case :)

As for me, you were right Boggle - I had some brown CM last night and the painters are in full swing this morning YAY! So will start stabbing tomorrow :)

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/04/2016 10:11

Yay! Go Moomin! This is your round! Good luck with the stabbing xxx

EllaMenoPea · 12/04/2016 10:38

Thanks moomin hopefully you're right Smile

Yay to AF and stabbing! This is so your round!!!

RobberBride · 13/04/2016 21:26

Hi everyone

Moomin good luck! I just saw your post elsewhere, I hope you've stopped bleeding after the injection? When's your first scan?

Ella still flashing? And I hear you on the oh-so-romantic DTD every other day. And in my case, the resulting cystitis.

Boggle that's amazing! I'm so impressed that your body worked. Maybe it will do it again so you won't need provera?

Hang on..Mr Supermarket at the door.

RobberBride · 13/04/2016 21:51

AFM I've had random pains just inside my right hip for 48 hours. Google tells me it might be a sign of ovulation, but also could be a pulled muscle, or gas. Trying to not get my hopes up that Clomid long protocol might actually have worked.

EllaMenoPea · 13/04/2016 23:53

Sounds promising robber! When do you find out if you've ov'd??

OP posts:
EllaMenoPea · 13/04/2016 23:53

Oh and yes...still flashing Angry

EllaMenoPea · 14/04/2016 07:43

YouBoggleMyMind · 14/04/2016 09:48

Ella go go go go! fingers crossed!!

Robber Do you get any scans with the Clomid?

Moomin37 · 14/04/2016 12:18

Go Ella Smile Ovulation next for you Robber!
Scan booked for me next Wednesday...

AmyC86 · 14/04/2016 13:12

Hello ladies,

Not been on here for a while, real life has been taking all of my time.

I think that the last thing I said was that I was going for a scan. Well on Monday I went back to my gynaecologist and received the formal diagnosis of PCOS. I'd already come to terms with this after the sornographer said I had lots of little cysts on my ovaries.

Anyway, I'm pleased to announce that I've been given 3 cycles of clomid. I'm currently on day 3 of 10 of Norethisterone. Then hopefully I'll see AF & get going with the clomid!!!!

Anyone got any tips? Should I start to log Temps and opks from cd1?

EllaMenoPea · 14/04/2016 13:46

Hi amy, good to hear from you!

Sorry to hear about the PCO diagnosis, it's what I have and have managed to have my DD so don't despair too much.

I use ovulation sticks from around day 10 and don't temp but as you can see below the sticks have been driving me crazy this month. Will you be scanned?

Ohh good luck for next Wednesday moomin!

OP posts:
AmyC86 · 14/04/2016 14:25

ellamenopea I have been told to phone up on cd1 for an ultrasound, do you know what I'm to ask for what days are the scans to take place?
