How's ur DS been sleeping ducky?
Are u still doing the milk ladder or did u stop?

zombiemeow · 09/10/2015 07:23

Well he had 2/3 good nights and it looks like it's gone out the window again. Last night wasn't that bad but he had a few wake ups and up at 4, but the day before was awful, I don't know if I actually slept Sad

We stopped the milk ladder on the advice of the consultant then started again yesterday on the advice of the dietitian. They all seem to contradict each other! But I thought if he's started it and not reacted what's the point in stopping? And he's had tiger bread since he started eating and loves it, I found out the other day it has milk in Blush

Cupcake92 · 09/10/2015 07:38

Aw no bless :( sleep is so hard I find. Wish I could give u more advice but after 2 years of my DS having awful sleep, it's only since starting nursery he's improved.
And wow I didn't realise tiger bread had milk in! Shock that's good he's not reacted to it tho! :) maybe he's growing number out of the allergy.

I had the worst night of my life. Literally the worst night. I woke at 2:30am.
I had a bad backache when I went to bed right at the bottom of my back and couldn't get comfy. (I've been sleeping sat up in bed for about a week now) so I decided to try and lie down to help my back, it worked. But at 2:30am I woke up and I was in so much pain in my pelvis and I knew I needed to sit up and sleep upright.
Well... The pain was so bad I couldn't sit up. It took me almost and hour to actually sit upright. I was in floods of tears and at one point rele considered trying to call my mom and see if she could rush over because I thought I'd never get up without any help :(
The pain I was in was ridiculous :( it was worse than labour, way worse.

It's worrying me now that I have 2 whole weeks till I'm induced. I'm rele not sure I can do it for that long on my own anymore. Every day there's something else I'm not able to do because of my spd as the pain is too much. And now it's got to the point where even going to bed and sleeping is too much for me. I'm going to mention this to my midwife today and see what she can suggest to help me or what. I doubt my induction can be brought forward as I asked that at my appt and asked for 38 weeks and they basically said 'no chance'.

I mean what can I do? I feel like I'm becoming housebound. And that's not possible when I have a 2 year old Grin

zombiemeow · 09/10/2015 10:35

Oh cupcake that sounds awful!

There's no possibility you are in very early stages of labor is there? I remember when i went in to be induced, shortly after they gave me the pessary I had awful pain in my back and just couldn't get comfy, turns out ds was back to back. Shortly after that I started having contractions

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 09/10/2015 12:12

Well the pains not got stronger so it can't be contractions Confused midwife checked his position n he's not back to back thankfully, DS was n it was awful! He's still 4/5ths engaged.
I'm going to doctors at half 2 and being prescribed codeine for my spd pain so I can at least get some sleep at night.
Midwife did say he could come before my induction as she said 'sometimes nature knows when ur body has had enough and will just spontaneously bring on labour'
I hope I go naturally before my induction.

zombiemeow · 09/10/2015 13:43

Mine didn't get stronger, they kind of stayed at a level that was just about bearable with just paracetamol. Then they did my sweep and they just stopped Blush then the next morning I was moved to labor ward to have my waters broke.

Hopefully the codeine helps. I love codeine Wink

Cupcake92 · 09/10/2015 16:04

Oo that's strange Ducky! When I had the pessary with DS i had it in at about 5pm, then midnight i had like a belly ache but by 5am I had contractions where I was on gas and air Grin and my waters were popped at 8am whilst i was contracting so it was agony!! So in 12 hours I was contracting painfully.
Hoping it all works fast this time round.

Oh and I never got the codeine :( she didn't feel safe prescribing it to me this late on in pregnancy. And she worried that if I needed it after birth also, as codeine is addictive and I'd be on it for a long time. So she wouldn't prescribe me it :/
But she advised that from now on I can't lie down to sleep I must prop myself up every night.

DH has come home from work and has been playing tennis with the students and been bitten by insects on his legs. What a fuss over a few midge bites. DS and I have been for a walk into the village to get away from the whinging on to get him some stuff for them. Grin He has had an anti-histamine and has got some cream on them. I have not looked with any interest although I have been shown them a number of times.

LuluJakey1 · 09/10/2015 20:38

DH is now in the bath to soothe the bites- I think the heat will irritate them but he knows best. He thinks he might take another anti- histamine and put his cream on and go to bed. They have really irritated him. Poor DH Wink

I said he should sleep in the spare room so he does not disturb me scratching and grumbling gets a good night's sleep. He looked hurt.

Cupcake92 · 09/10/2015 21:52

Oh no poor DH Lulu Grin insect bites are annoying!
Did the soak in the bath work for him?
He needs some hydrocortisone cream on them, that'll stop the itching and reduce the swelling and redness of them.

I'm so tired but I ache and baby is so so so active! Will not stop moving ! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 09/10/2015 23:37

He has got the cream Cupcake. He is such a drama queen Grin He thinks they are feeling better. He is in our bed on pain of not grumbling or complaining about them.

You just have to get through the next two weeks! It will all be over. Will your SPD just disappear?

Lillamyy1 · 09/10/2015 23:39

Oh no Cupcake! I hope baby comes soon - just checked in briefly to see If there was any sign. Sorry to hear about the spd - it's terrible! Not long now though!

Cupcake92 · 10/10/2015 03:16

Oh good Lulu Grin bless him!
And yes that's true, and I'm sure 2 weeks will fly by! Just like u say, need to get through them.

Lill, I hope baby comes soon too! It's all just getting to me atm. Especially weekends as DS isn't at nursery and I'm trying to run after him etc on next to no sleep.

Tonight DS has woke at 2am and is still awake now :( he is point blank refusing to go back to sleep as well. I've tried everything. so now we are down stairs in the lounge, blanket and pillows set up for him and I can at least sit without being in so much pain.
Don't know why he's sleeping bad tonight he's had about a week of amazing sleep, not once properly waking up and now this :( back to how it used to be :(

LuluJakey1 · 10/10/2015 09:58

It is hopefully just a bad night Cupcake. Wear him our today Smile

We are going round to visit the old lady DH made friends with in Sainsbury's and to take her out to tea at a little tea shop in a Northumberland village. It is lovely here and we'll be able to sit in their garden- DS can play on the grass.

DH has not complained too much about his bites this morning. I got up while he was still asleep so I did not have to hear it when he woke up. He came down and was about to show me and thought better of it. I think my scowl put him off.

He has taken DS swimming. The chlorine will do his bites good Grin

Cupcake92 · 10/10/2015 19:36

Lulu where u live always sounds so beautiful. It's deffo somewhere I'd love to live. I used to live in the countryside where u literally had to walk miles just to get to the nearest post box. But it was so peaceful and lovely and surrounded by fields.
I hope ur DH's bites have calmed down now! Smile

I'm not sure if baby is lying on a nerve but my right leg keeps randomly twitching! Confused so weird!

LuluJakey1 · 10/10/2015 21:38

I lve Nothumberland but everywhere has its nice bits. This is where we went today. It is a medieval village and has two rows of cottages, an abbey, an amazng pub/ hotel, a tea room and lovely cottage gardens. ait is at the end of a reservoir. It was lvely weather and DS was very good. Elisabeth had a good day and we stoppd to do her shopping n the way back. DH found someone to be sympathetic about his bites. He told her the story and she made all the right noises.

I bet you can't wait for the baby to be here. Hope it comes soon, by itself.
Smile DS used to give me twitchy legs and backache too but nothing like you have put up with. I think you sound quite a resilient person- unlike my DH Grin

Sorry - lots of typos in that.

Cupcake92 · 11/10/2015 06:35

Lulu that looks stunning. How beautiful! The photo with all the fields and the reservoir looks the perfect place to just go and sit there and have some peace.
I'm glad ur friend had a nice day, so nice u and DH take her out :)

And no I can't wait at all for baby to come out! I'm just so excited to hold him :) I'm looking forward to those first few holds where ur just in shock of how uve made someone so perfect :) but I do hope he decides to appear on his own accord before my induction, but we shall see :)

zombiemeow · 11/10/2015 10:11

Lulu that looks lovely where you went!

Cupcake codeine are very addictive Blush I had to be weaned off them when I was in hospital Blush it was awful, I just felt like I really really needed more constantly. Hope you managed to get some sleep last night.

Ds didn't sleep well. We went to mil yesterday, ds had a meltdown when he saw her. We had a few arguments and I walked out closely followed by h. We then had a bunch of texts off sil having a go at us and telling us we need to apologise. don't think so. She had the cheek to call ds spoilt because I pick him up if he cries Angrydrama drama drama.

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 11/10/2015 11:28

Your MIL always sounds a nightmare. Are you and DH not tempted to to just go NC Ducky?

DS has had a meltdown this morning because DH has gone out for a cycle ride without him. Absolute sobbing little heap. 'Dada, Dada, Dada' wailed for about 30 minutes, Tears streaming, Gasping sobs. No comforting or distracting him. Has exhausted himself and is having a snooze. Phew!

He says 'Mama' as well and 'kit' for 'cat' and 'me,me,me' Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 11/10/2015 11:30

and 'mik' for milk.

zombiemeow · 11/10/2015 13:13

There was a huge argument a couple of weeks back and I was tempted to tell him to go NC (it would make my life easier!) but h is too forgiving of her. He will stay really mad for a day or two then forgive her.

I don't know what happened to sil, she did go NC with her for months. Now all of a sudden she is obsessed with her. Little does she know mil was trying to get her daughter taken off her Confused

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 11/10/2015 13:26

What a witch!

We pick DS up if he cries. The other day he had a sore finger- the cat scratched it when he pulled her ear. He was crying and holding it up going 'ooooh' 'oooooh'. DH kissed it better and gave him a cuddle and I put some savlon in it - it was tiny and just a surface ding. Now when he wants a cuddle he holds the finger up and goes 'ooooh'. Smile

Cupcake92 · 11/10/2015 13:48

Okay... Um what does NC mean? Confused I've sat for about 10 mins determined to work it out but I can't Grin

But ducky ur mil is just bloody awful!! It's perfectly normal to pick a child up when they cry. I'd be heartbroken if I was crying and everyone ignored me :( id just want a hug!

My ex mil won't have seen DS for nearly a year! Not even asked how he is, or asked about her new grandchild that's almost here!
As for codeine ducky I was like that after having DS! I was petrified to stop taking them incase the pain came back. I had to gradually cut down before I was able to have non at all! Oh and I wanted to bring the liquid morphine home from the hospital Grin that stuff was amazing! Grin pain just flew away!

Lulu ur DS is getting rather clever with his words! :)
My DS still has weird words for things, like when he asks for milk he says something like 'cors' which means milk Confused I've no idea how he's figured that one out! Most words he says are nice and clear and can say sentences too. But milk... He just doesn't get that one! Grin
