Shiny new thread and this time I got the title right!

We're all waiting for baby cupcake to come along

Cupcake I'm trying with his bath in the morning now. He does get very excited in the bath so I thought maybe that didn't help him with his sleep. Will see how it goes hope you have a better night aswell.

Sounds like you and ds had a nice day with BIL lulu. Hope your fil feels better soon too. Has ds been more himself today?

Lulu sounds like u and DS had a good day.
Macaroni cheese is one of my favourites. I can eat tons of that.
I hope DH is alright and he enjoys his cider.

Oh I see ducky! Bath times are always such fun for them aren't they

Praying I sleep well tonight because I feel a bit rough. Feel like I'm coming down with a cold, my throats sore and voice is going and I just generally feel run down :(

I don't know if I'm making this up and cannot remember from experience but isn't that what some people experience before labor? might just be wishful thinking.

My night isn't so peaceful so far. I got a take away but haven't managed to eat as ds was up until 8. I put him to bed and tried to tidy but he woke up and wouldn't settle so I brought him down stairs. I'm currently sat in the dark trying to get him to sleep as he is soooo tired while the dogs eat my take away

Going pretty much insane tonight... The one night I get to myself, which is very rare, ds will not sleep. I've tried to put him to bed 5 times so far, he wakes as soon as he goes down and refuses to settle until he's down stairs

Deffo wishful thinking Ducky tho it's weird as I can tell labour is so so near, I feel it's about to happen but I just don't think it will before my induction. Either way I guess it's good as if my body's ready then induction should go well.

Oh how irritating ducky :( one time u could have just chilled out and had some u time!
My DS has been up in the night too. I have given in and he came into my bed. He's asleep now but now I can't sleep
I wonder why our DS's aren't sleeping again?? What's in the air that's changed ?
I'm so tired as well and worrying a bit for when baby is here as I'll get less sleep

This is what I was talking about tho Ducky, they get into a good sleep pattern. And are sleeping so well. Get used to it all and then, boom. They stop sleeping well and are back to waking up in the night all the time :(
My DS is 2 now and it's still going on! Eughhh. My bed will just be full of kids soon
I'll have DS sleeping next to my right side, then DS2 sleeping in his next to me crib on my left side. Co-sleeping at its best

What was your induction date? Have you been eating anymore pineapples?

Well my night alone didn't go to plan. Da was up and wide awake until 1.30 am. I eventually got him to sleep and just went to bed

Induction is currently booked for Friday. But depending on the scan I will be induced Wednesday or possibly Thursday if they are concerned with his growth.
And yes I've been eating pineapples but they aren't doing anything

I think my DS may be getting a cold, his nose is running like mad today. Maybe that's why he's not sleeping? I don't know lol
I've warned my dm about his sleep atm, so when he goes to sleep over she's putting a Matress in her room on the floor so that he's close by if he wakes up.

I brought some infacol as I can remember DS used to throw up all the time when he was fed and I was told to give him infacol which helped him keep the milk down!
I still need to buy and put some snacks in my hospital bag.

We have had a quiet day, just us and DS. We took him for a walk and then I made a late lunch and he played with DH and his toys on the floor.

He went to bed about half 7 so we're having some peace and quiet. DH is listening to music and reading in the new room and I am watching Downton.

The funeral is on Friday so DH will break up on Thursday for half term. We are going to stay with PIL until next Sunday night.

By then you will have your new baby Cupcake! Just a few days now.

Well another bad night here for me and DS :( DS has been awake for half an hour. He's cried and cried and won't go in his bed, he won't go in my bed either! He kept getting out the bed and opening the door and standing at the top of the stairs! So I've had to get up and bring him down stairs so we can all sleep on the sofa :( he's awake atm watching the iPad. I'm so tired. Don't get why he's not sleeping anymore :( :( especially as I'm about to have the baby.
I'm not gonna be able to come down stairs and sleep when the baby is here. Eugh :(

Can u believe it? .... 3:30am and I've had to make DS some toast! He's been crying asking for toast at this time! But I've made him some as I thought if he's hungry he won't sleep. He's eaten a whole slice in under 5 mins. He was deffo hungry!!
Praying I get some sleep soon! :(

Oh no cupcake! Hope ds went straight back to sleep after you said that. Last night again ds went to bed at around 6.30, but up at 9 and wouldn't settle so he came downstairs and crawled around in his sleeping bag until around 11.30 when I was so tired I went upstairs with him, managed to settle him some time after 12. He still woke up a few times though throughout the night

Ducky yes he went straight to sleep after he ate his toast! So he must have woke up as he was hungry. But he only slept for 1 hour and a half after it so I'm in a pretty bad mood today as I'm tired. DS usually goes to his dad's Monday mornings but he isn't this week as his dad's working all day today so he is able to have time off for when I go in to have baby.
So today is going to be one longgggggg day!

Did ur DS settle straight away when he woke in the night?

Yes luckily throughout the night when he woke he would just settle with his dummy. Still a bit of a pain though as he had learnt how to escape from his cot so I had to raise the sides so to get his dummy I have to get out of bed anyway.

We're off out in a bit to look at inspiration for his birthday presents

He was a nightmare this morning ducky.
Didn't nap till 3pm! And I had to wake him up at 4pm so that he will eat dinner and sleep later. He's been good this evening tho.
Ate all his dinner (curry) and all his angel delight and has had a bath. He's now watching in the night garden.

I'm ready for bed now. I'm exhausted.

How often does he nap at that age? Good he ate all his dinner though fingers crossed he doesn't wake up hungry tonight.

Ds has hardly napped at all today either. Had trouble getting him to bed too, no doubt he will be up again soon.

Present ideas didn't go well i do already have a cupboard full of presents I have been putting away since he was born. I have no idea what else to get him, everything I have already got him seems like things he will get bored of easy. I think il get him one of them little tiny arm chairs though and dm is getting him a trike

He only has one nap in the day now. Dreading when he grows out of it!

Ooo my DS got a trike for his 1st bday :) he loved it! He also has one of those little arm chairs they are rele good! :)
I ended up getting DS random things he needed like a blanket, and plates and cutlery etc. He still enjoyed ripping open the paper

Yea it will probably all be a waste of money, on my birthday I let him open my presents and he just sat there playing with the paper for ages.

It's difficult too as his birthday is so close to Christmas so I need to get him things to last him throughout the year.

I've also got him a ball pit

Well ds hasn't woke up yet, but I am struggling to sleep. Just found out a friend has died not long ago

That's clever Ducky, being able to escape from his cot. DS would not be able to do that! He just shouts until we go in.

The weather has been funny here today, mizzley and soft. We went for a walk into the village to do some shopping and came back damp but it hadn't rained that much. Everything was just damp when we were out.

DS has been very whingey this afternoon. The cats are fed up with him. They hate it when he whinges and went in the other room in disgust to sleep.

I have not even thought about DS's first birthday. It is the day before New Year's Eve and he will just have had Christmas. I don't see any need for him to have lots of presents. DH thinks we should just say to PIL and SIL to get him one present instead of two. I tend to agree and we can get him a birthday oresent. He would like a cardboard box and a rattley thing more than anything.

It'll have been a year in November since my friend died. His fiancè is on the new British heart foundation fundraising advert. I watched it last night, it's sad :(

That's odd weather Lulu! It's just been cold here. I love it! :) haha bless ur poor cats! my cat always begs to go outside if DS is annoying him. But recently DS has been filling his cat bowl up with cat biscuits without me knowing! I wondered why his bowl was always full
Lulu his bday is very close to Xmas isn't it. Maybe he could have a big present from u and DH for his bday and a big one on Xmas from PIL and SIL.

And yes possibly 48 hours or less! I could be staying in tomorrow and being induced!' Ahhh! I'm hoping they change it for Thursday morning tho it would be easier than them saying I need to be kept in tomorrow.

Getting everything sorted today. Making sure house is spotless, doing the last load of washing. Checking all is in the hospital bags! Cleaning out my car! And finding my digital camera and charging it :) yay!!! Can't wait! Going to have a nice long long shower tonight and attempt to shave my legs can't have furry legs in labour!

I've also got to sort DS's nursery out and warn them about tomorrow how it may not be me picking DS up. Because I'd want them to tell him who's picking him up so he knows and isn't too shocked if my mom walks in to get him.

Ducky, I missed that about your friend. Sorry. Were you close? was it out of the blue? Hope you are ok.

Lulu apart from when he is moaning are the cats ok with ds? I would really love a new cat but I would be worried about ds dragging it round the house

Yes it was a shock about our friend, it was a car accident it all happened so quickly, she had a dd too

And this morning ds has fell down the stairs, I don't know how far, I was getting a drink out the kitchen and ds was in the lounge with the door to the hall shut, but he can open it and I just heard a thud and crying and he was at the bottom of the stairs. Am going to buy more stair gates today I think!

I've checked the hospital bags and I'm pretty sure I've got everything. I hope! looks like I'm staying for 2 weeks the amount of stuff I have. But I know from last time I ran out of things so I've put extra in this time

Oh no poor DS! I have laminate flooring at the bottom of my stairs and DS fell down once from the 2nd step and it sounded awful! but he was okay after it thankfully!
It's shocking how many stair gates u end up with

I'm shocked as I've literally finished everything I needed to do! All that's left to do is clean out my car and have a shower tonight. Going to relax now till DS finishes nursery :)

I'm still here, I hope everyone is well? Guess what?!?!?!?!? I just took a hpt this morning and finally, after 2 years of trying, I've got my bfp! Used a fr and it showed up straight away, really strong. I use Ovia and it's giving me an EDD of 22/06/16 making me 4+6 today.

I've to hand in a sample of fmu at the drs tomorrow so that they can confirm then they'll book me in for a long drs appt before referring to midwife. Last time I was able to self refer but apparently can't do that anymore.

Can't believe it's finally happened, just trying to keep calm just in case!
