Woo hoo rose!!! Excellent news! You're in it to win it now Smile

I will get a scan if i ask as it's all private so my insurer pays - I just wondered if I was being a little bit mental in getting one?!

Congrats newby! Thank you for sharing your exciting news! Keep us updated Flowers

Yayyy rosebud thats fab news!! It's so exciting when we ovulate! Fx for you!

I'm on cd30, still waiting to ovulate and DTD every single day which is a first for me in a while. Not going to lie, it's a joyless experience Grin "DH, just please do your thing, make it quick, I'm so tired" is the general theme of the evening. I have to hand it to him, he has good humour about it all which is probably a good thing as I'm not joking at all - I'm like, "do you want this baby?! THEN WE NEED TO HAVE SEX" kind of like a nympho, but without the actual desire. I'm fully aware I sound atrocious, but I really don't care! The pressure is immense put upon me by me!

Stealth oh, got you! If the insurers are paying then hell yes you should ask! Don't be shy when it comes to insurance claims! Grin x

ponty you have my sympathy - we've had a similar situation here the last 2 cycles. It's bloody hard going isn't it? (No pun intended! Grin) I don't think you sound atrocious - who can seriously feel horny / sexy when you are having sex whether you want it or not, all under the immense pressure of wanting a baby? And I sometimes wonder what our DHs actually think when we're peeing on ov tests, marking off calendars and telling them not to come in/look away while we insert preseed, then trying to look a bit alluring and ask them for sex? Confused

Chandelier you're so brave, please please rant away here if you need to.

rose we're back tomorrow, it was only 3 days away but it seems to have helped a lot - I think being somewhere new has broken the monotony and pressure a bit.

[Stealth] thanks for the advice. I've downloaded the headspace app and tried session one. I really like it. Hopefully it will help me keep my s**t together and not cry at work about still being childless...and I fed think you should ask for a scan. You don't ask you don't get, as they say!

Huge congrats [Rosebud] for the +ve ovulation! Great news. Smile

[Chandelier] . Grin Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried acupuncture, which I love, it's just hard to find the time. I think I need to prioritise some me time though. I think I'll def look into reiki because I've heard good things about it. Sorry to hear your sad news. Keep your chin up and stay positive. Flowers

[Isit]Thanks for sharing your friends amazing story. There is hope for us all! [Isit] and [Ponty], you crack me up. I'm EXACTLY the same!

rosebud congrats congrats!!! Those two juicy follicles sound very promising FX for you!!!
OMG chand 4 pregnancies! I would have handed my notice in! You've got the right attitude though. Sending you lots of love xx
Sounds like a few of us have had some stress this week. DTD for TTC is no fun at all and even when you do it for being horny I've still wondered "maybe this time"! It truly sends you a bit loopy and it's constantly on my bloody mind!
shorty I hope the relaxation works, you need to take time out just for yourself. Life can be stressful enough without TTC and other pple announcing BFPS! Xxx
AFM My appt. Was a bit sketchy. They have lost my op notes so the consultant only had a letter to go off. Short story is he thinks I should have my tubes out then have IVF. So I am waiting for an apt. With a fertilty specialist and I have an appt. With the Dr. I seen last night to decide if I want them out and he will be happy to do it.
DH talked last night and he says what Evers best for me, he only wants me to be healthy, child or not. So I've decided get these nasty tubes out and IVF it is. I am absolutely devastated that I will never have children naturally but I need to stay positive. Dr said the chances of it working will be better and the PCOS isn't a problem. The letter he read out said my ovaries where normal?! No mention of cysts, but I suppose that wasn't what they where checking for? Who knows Sad So ladies I now have to wait for more appts. And have more procedures and then I'll still have to wait on an IVF list.
I feel stupid posting on here now as I am actually unable to TTC naturally! But if you lot don't mind I am still going to keep up with how you are all doing and I may update you from time to time Sad
Lots of love and best of luck to each and everyone of you. Thanks for all being so lovely and I am so glad I found this thread, I've learnt so much from all of you xxxx

pebbles I am so sorry for your news. Of course you're very welcome on this thread. I think it's moved on from just a ttc with pcos thread, and I for one would like to know your updates and that you're ok.
As for not being able to conceive naturally, I think all of us who have to have any sort of treatment feel the same. I know I do.
I hope you're leaning on your DH. He sounds lovely by the way Flowers

shortyk how are you finding the 100mg clomid? Try not to stress she says while madly looking into the headspace app to stop myself stressing I felt the same when 50mg and 100mg clomid didn't work but apparently if you have the right dose, stress won't stop it working.

stealth Definately ask for another scan. You can never have too much tracking!

rose I'm willing you on through your 2ww. I feel so hopeful for you.

ponty I'm glad I helped Grin I really wish this was something more people were open about. It can't be easy for the men in this - I know DH struggles with ttc sex when he knows I'm not really in the mood. I think jokes are the only option last night I may have asked DH to stand to attention and prepare for battle and lucky for me he found it funny Grin

AFM - I'm cd22 and having a mini disaster. Because I was away I couldn't have bloods done yesterday, but my surgery is a nurse down today and told me they can't do them until Monday, which is no good
However, me and DH are both feeling relaxed and happy and I Have a lovely massage booked for this weekend Smile so trying to stay positive.

Yet again - positive thoughts and fingers crossed for everyone!

Rose so exciting I have everything crossed for you in your 2ww. Don't get disheartened if you don't think you get any symptoms. I had no symptoms at all and my temp dipped twice during the 2ww and yet it was still a BFP, there is hope until AF! So pleased you are getting somewhere hooray!

Pebbles I'm really sorry to hear your news but your DH is so right and sounds lovely. You being healthy is most important and while it is disappointing that you can't conceive without IVF, at the end of the day, if you get to hold a little baby that is yours, who the hell cares how it got there. It won't matter to you either at that point I'm sure. Sending you a big squishy hug.

Isit that is so frustrating for you about the bloods. Do you have your forms and could go to another hospital/surgery to get them? For me I was just given the bloods request form and could go anywhere in the area on the right day and get them, maybe an option? xx

Congratulations rosebud I am really crossing my fingers and everything for you!

I am starting ivf in 2 weeks. I'm pretty excited now. Feel like things are finally starting to get moving after 3 years of ttc.

Pebbles I understand how you feel. Ivf is a means to an end and it doesn't matter if we conceive naturally, with clomid, egg donation or ivf. Once we hold that little baby in our arms it won't matter how they are conceived.

Yay Vixx that's brilliant news! Sounds like we'll be cycle buddies Smile - I ovulated on Tuesday which means AF should arrive on 23rd and start stimming on Day 2. Which is 2 weeks today! And if we get that far egg collection provisionally scheduled for Mon 5th Oct - which is really not that far away, eek! Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you. Being nosy so tell me to sod off, what protocol are you on? Xx

Vixxfacee · 10/09/2015 22:05

Banana I don't know what stimming means !?
I think I'm on a long protocol, I don't know all the terms yet.
I am on day six of my cycle. So I start tablets on day 21.

What is your process?

Hello!
Ok, so my DP and I are officially trying. With me a PCOS and a rampaging one too... So far no carbs, EPO, flaxseed, 5 a day, inositol,... went to talk to my gyno who told me to my face I need clomifen... didn't know if I was happy to skip the wait or sinking fast as she's not losing time... 29 years old... Feeling a bit scred by my gynos reaction at the moment...

So pleased it's all happening for you Vixx. Sorry for my lazy typing using shorthand - stimming is short for stimulating: ie when you start the stimulation injections to grow the follicles in the run up to egg collection. There are two main protocols - long protocol, where you 'down regulate' from day 21 to suppress your ovaries, usually involving nasal sprays, before starting stimulation injections on day 2 of the next cycle. I'm on short protocol because I'm predicted to be a poor responder (although it's also sometimes used for pcos women too - like Newby here). So I'm skipping the down regulation phase and go straight into stimulation on day 2 of my natural cycle. So short protocol is very short indeed - start on day 2 and egg collection scheduled for day 12.

Wishing you tonnes of luck - it's nice to have another IVF buddy on here. Xx

Banana how often do you have periods? I'm wondering why I'm on long and you're on short if we both have pcos!

Are you freezing? They suggested that we did as apparently it takes the stats to 60%.

So if it all runs smoothly when are you aiming to teSt by? I'm excited for you!

Hi Vixx - we're both on short. You're just having pills to bring on a bleed - if I didn't end up having an AF then I would have the same. We're on the same protocol as Newby. I have this weird 'burning out' PCOS that seems to have morphed from classic PCOS to diminished ovarian reserves, but consultant says PCOS doesn't ever go away, so it's a weird one. He explained that short protocol tends to be used for both expected high responders (classic PCOS) and expected poor responders (diminished reserves). Neither of us are on long protocol as we're not 'down regulating' with nasal sprays to suppress our ovaries and essentially put ourselves into menopause before we start stimulating. We're both starting stimulation first (Gonal-F) and then taking a blocker (Cetrotide) to prevent the follicles from being released. Cetrotide is only used in short protocol - so you, me and Newby are all on the same plan xxx

Exciting Vixx! Not planning to freeze as it's unlikely I'll get anything that can be frozen Sad

I think frozen transfers are so successful in high responders cos it allows the body to recover from all the stimulation before transferring an embryo. I'm not expected to produce many eggs, so not likely I'll have enough embryos to have anything make it to a freezable state. If we do make it to transfer then I think that would be a test date around the 19th Oct. But just keeping my fingers and toes crossed we get to transfer at all.

I'm so excited for you Vixx Flowers Are you planning to freeze and transfer in another cycle? It's all getting very real now isn't it!! Xx

Pebbles So sorry to hear your news Flowers It least now you can focus on the plan to rectify everything and get you your baby! As others have said, it doesn't matter how we manage to get our babies we are all still on our TTC/baby making journey together and we are all here for each other whether it be natually TTC, clomid, IUI, IVF or something else. You are so so strong! Please do stick around and let us know how things are going! Smile

Isit Welcome back! That's SOOOO frustrating about your bloods- I would still get them done on Monday just to see......but don't get disheartened if they come back as no ov because it wont necessarily be accurate.

Dollface I have bloating, a lack of appetite and severe tiredness..... but to be honest these could all very likely be because this week at work has been ridiculously stressful and manic- time will tell! I'm going to test on Sunday when I'll either be 12DPO or 10DPO depending on how you interpret my chart. Thanks for the positive vibes! Smile

Vixx Yay for starting IVF- that was SO quick!!!! I'm so very excited for you and Banana....Newbys protocol is clearly lucky!! I've updated both of your stats with your drugs- thanks for that!

Lucina Welcome! Don't be scared- the fact that they seem willing to prescribe you clomid quicker than you expected is great news. Better than waiting AGES like some of us on this thread Smile What is the next step for you now? Do you have the prescription or are you waiting for another appointment?
