Thanks for all your responses, I do really appreciate them.
I didn't realise Clomid on the NHS was so complicated, I assumed as the pills are so cheap they'd just chuck them at you and tell you to go away. The tracking I had on my first go on Clomid didn't really work anyway, as they told me they couldn't see any follicles maturing particularly well, and then lo and behold I was pg.

^^ if that sounds smug, it's not meant to - we tried for a year beforehand and I do really know the pain of a constant monthly wait, never knowing when you ov, or if period will arrive. I had 40-55 day cycles and must have taken about 200 tests. I never ever got +opk.

Big congratulations newby wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

rose glad you had a nice time away. When will you get your blood results?

mistake that's a tricky one, I had two cycles of clomid that were unmonitored and just had a blood test on day 21 but I do think it is important to be monitored. Those two months for me were so hard because I didn't have a clue what was going on.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Ive just had my blood results and they were 40 so looks like I ovulated a day earlier than expected which would of been day 17, DP and I managed cd14,16 and 19 so still in the running. unfortunately it does mean AF is due DP's birthday so that could go either way. I don't feel anything different as it stands so we'll just have to see.

Hello ladies! Well I've been sitting on the old thread wondering what the hell happened to all of you! Hmm
So much to catch up on, sorry for missing people out, especially anybody who's had a bit of a rubbish week.
Thanks rosebud for the new thread and I have everything crossed for your Massive follicles!!! Grin
Loved your scan pic rufus amazing news and I hope your keeping well. Keep us posted xx
isiti I am hoping you can give DH the best birthday present, sounds like you covered DTD both sides of your OV date, FX for you!
Congrats newby amazing news, I cannot imagine how you must be feeling. Stay put sticky bean! I am sure all women POAS daily after they get the great news transfer has worked, I sure would. Sending you lots of good vibes xxx
AFM I had an amazing holiday in Italy with DH, think I Ov'd from the SI on CD19? Got 2 really dark lines anyway, so was DTD none stop. DH doesn't know I took the SI so he thought all the sun and relaxing had got me extra horny Grin. No point getting his hopes up as there's still the problems with my tubes, so very smal chance of it working even if I did OV. But I had fun trying!!
Got my cons appt. Tmz after my L&D in June, finally. So nervous and excited for what the Dr will say!! Feeling a bit sick about it TBH.
Lots of love to all you lovely ladies xxx

Fx for you pebbles and glad you had a lovely time away. Welcome back to thread 3!

newby huge congrats to you that's fantastic and hope you haev a sticky little bean! Just a helpful hint, do not use the CBD ones that give you a date as it may freak you out unnecessarily! Mine always said pregnant 1-2 weeks even though my ob scan dated the pregnancy at 6 weeks! Just thought I would mention in case like me you are prone to a good old worry haha.

Miskate I can only tell you what I would avoid and for me I would avoid any medication that strong without monitoring. As you have a previous diagnosis you should have a shorter wait on the NHS than others so worth getting the monitoring IMO.

Welcome back ponty and rosebud! Glad you had wonderful holidays and you were missed on the thread!

Omg Newby yay!! That's such wonderful news, so SO happy for you! Keeping fx it's a sticky bean and so excited for your scan.

And yes, what Rosebud said! I think you said you were on short protocol? What meds were you on / what dose / how long did you stim for?

My meds arrive tomorrow, DH works at home so he's awaiting the delivery and has to get the Gonal-F straight in the fridge. Occupying the space beer and wine used to occupy before TTC!!

Newby that's so amazing congratulations!!! So pleased for you. Will be thinking of you over the next few weeks.

It's funny when someone on here gets a bfp I feel so happy but whenever I read a pregnancy announcement on Facebook or whatever I feel really Angry!!

Rose let us know what your blood results say. Are you feeling ok... I think this is the hardest part.

Starting round 4 of clomid tonight. Be a white knuckle ride of crazy for the next week!

Asked the nurse about iui she said it wouldn't help. She said if after my 6 cycles of clomid I go to injections then it might be worth a try.

Exciting/scary times Banana! Im keeping my fingers tightly, tightly crossed for you.
Oh and I'm so glad I'm not the only overly nosey person on the thread Wink

Freddie honestly I'm lacking hope! My temps are different to usual but still don't seem high enough to me for ov. And ff isn't confirming ov even though I think I'm 7DPO today based on scan!
We will see. Going to try so hard not to cry if its bad news, but think I'm going to struggle.

Aw thanks ladies it really means a lot! Only family know about the IVF so barely told anyone!
Banana good luck to you- a very exciting time!!!
Those of you ovulating/about to I am praying for your little eggys!!

So yes, i was on short protocol. I have had no periods in over two years so the nurse said short protocol was safer for pcos. I was happy with that as it seems more kind to your body (as quicker!!)
Mixing up drugs each night my DP liked to play doctor, and regular scans. I had 150 (2x75) menopur per night and one powder. I ended up doing that for about 16 days. The last 4 days i had to inject my belly with a drug to 'switch of' although the name has completely slipped my mind!! Scans confirmed I had around 30 follicles in total, and by the time they decided I was 'ready' I felt so bloated!! Trigger drug of pregnyl 36 hours before. They got 15 eggs, so in the end a blasto grade 5aa transferred, and 5 frozen blasts so very happy!
I have had NO symptoms. Nothing. I was convinced it hadn't worked so couldn't believe it when it had! I think u look out for symtoms but it's mainly the progesterone that makes u get them.. And most 'normal' pregnancies people don't have symptoms until 6/7 weeks anyway.
So now because I've obsessed I know there is chance of mc and chemical and ectopic so I'm onto the next hurdle!! But obviously one I'm happy I get to face! Smile

Hi ladies!

I've been awol for a while but thought I'd check in. My first cycle of clomid didn't work and then I started af whilst away on holiday without clomid for 3 weeks so couldn't take it! I wasn't too annoyed at the time because I was so relaxed and thought it might be fate but now I'm back at work (as a teacher) I'm so stressed! I'm taking 100mg clomid now but worrying that now I'm stressed and pressurised at work that I won't ov again :(

I have my tracking scan next week so fingers crossed.

Any tips on how to relax?! It's been nearly 2 years and I'm STILL not pregnant. Argh!

Hope everyone is well. It was so great to check the stats and see so many bpfs! Congratulations everyone Flowers

newby32 CONGRATS! that is so exciting. fx it hangs in there.

rosebud fx for your tests too

and banana with your meds and freddie with your clomid. POSTIVE VIBES.

shorty i'm pretty sure a bit of stress won't make much of a difference either way. maybe try meditation? i did the headspace "starter for 10" and really enjoyed it.

well, AF turned up this morning. Am relieved it was "only" a 43 day cycle. Maybe things are starting to regularise (although I'm sure I'm not ovulating) - if I could get down to 35 days on both sides (i.e. alternating cycles) at least I won't feel so impatient on a cycle where I don't ovulate! Now I can get on with my day 21 blood tests on my "good" side.

As it turns out will have to go back to the gynae to get more Metformin before my bloods so will see her anyway. Do you think it would be overkill to ask for another scan?

Isit Everything crossed for you too. And well done for all that DTD Wink Lucky you two!!

NFM: Am back at work, have finally stopped bleeding and even managed to have some non-TTC action Wink first time in almost 2 months Blush I've even managed to hold a newborn without bursting into tears. Four, yes four, pregnancies were announced last week in my workplace, at the same time. Had to bite my tongue so as not to say "I was too until a couple of weeks ago!" Still, am staying positive by placing bets as to when AF may decide to make an appearance... Could be some time!

Sorry for the multiple posts; I'm on my phone so it's harder to see everything and reply in one go.

Quickly checking in to say Rosebud that is fabulous news!! I so hope this is your month!

chandelier thank you Smile
Being able to dtd without it being ttc is so far back in my memory I'm struggling to recall Grin
Love the way you are concentrating on the positives though - work must have been so hard for you.

Also wanted to say a friend of a friend announced a pregnancy with twins today as a result of IVF - she has been trying for almost 4 years, one blocked tube, endometriosis and pcos, so they are like miracle babies - but if it can happen for her it can happen for us!!

Aww thanks you lovely lot- God I love you ladies!

So FF still isn't confirming ov but the blood tests do so I think I ov'ed on the evening of my scan (CD20) as I had really severe sharp pains on the right hand side (the one with the 2 juicy follicles!).

If I ov'ed when I think I did then I'm 8DPO. Had a huge temp drop yest and then a spike back up high today...... trying not to get carried away!

Stealth Defo ask for another scan- what have you got to lose?! Use your womanly powers of persuasion Grin

Chandelier 4 pregnancies really is taking the piss! Flowers You sound like you are doing amazingly in the circumstances Smile

Isit Hope you are enjoying your break away with DH- when do you get back?
