Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

Best wishes,
K x

Thank goodness you got that doctor woody! It's so frustrating when doctors don't go the full mile or listen to your concerns. I've recently moved doctors as there is one in our village so made sense to be local in the event of a BFP. I've not found one at my practice I think fully listens and goes the extra mile yet, my old one was amazing she gave me a full set of bloods when I said to her we wanted to TTC x

chillthefXXkout · 27/11/2015 11:36

Hi Woody yes, I am concerned as my cycles are anywhere between 38 & 54 days so far...they are just completely erratic and I remember them being like that even before I went on the pill.

I agree with you and Ren that it's pot luck whether the GP listens to you and is willing to do anything before things go on for way too long than they need to.

Woody096 · 27/11/2015 19:15

My auntie is a nurse and she said if you request a test to find out they can so no, but if you then push for a referral as a consequence then they can't say no. It is really difficult, I was very lucky. I would ask for a test and see what they say! Explain its for your own sanity xx

Pixie1988 · 28/11/2015 09:08

Sorry to hear that woody, but as others said now you know, you can get the help you need, keep positive!

Af due today/tomorrow, I'm 12dpo today and tested this morning with a bfn! Sad just expecting visitor to turn up now, damn! Had a good feeling about this month too! X

Woody096 · 28/11/2015 09:57

Thanks Pixie! Sorry to hear the dreaded witch has had arrive. AF arrived yesterday, in a way I am relieved as I want to get on top of thing with PCOS & maybe it will help me relax TTC given I now have a explanation for the long cycles rather than symptom spotting all the time! FX for a Christmas surprise eh!x

XL · 29/11/2015 00:33

Sorry pixie x

Annie0369 · 29/11/2015 16:04

Hi guys, unfortunately I had a bit of a bad few weeks, got told I was having a miscarriage and then it turned out to be ectopic. Had surgery on Friday & had my right tube taken out.

It's been a rollercoaster ride. I'm doing okay emotionally though & been told we can try again in Feb as I also had to have a shot of methotrexate.

Just glad it's all over with now & looking forward to trying again.

Hope you're all doing good xxx

Woody096 · 29/11/2015 17:01

Oh gosh Annie I am so sorry to hear that, how traumatic for you! Sending you big hugs! Are you ok (well as can be in the circumstances) x x

Paige43 · 29/11/2015 17:57

So sorry to hear that Annie xx

Hope next month is better for you ladies who didn't get your bfp this month xx

Annie0369 · 29/11/2015 19:09

Aww thanks guys, yeah I'm doing really well actually, these things happen. I have the thought that I can either let it really get to me or look forward and plan again.

Quite sore from the surgery at the moment but feel so relieved that it's all over now xxx

Paige43 · 29/11/2015 19:58

Can I ask a question. I've been seeing on a lot a ttc pages about egg white mucus.

I the only person who doesn't get this? Could this be a problem, as apparently this is ideally what you should have during your window. I think i'm ovulating now but no sign of egg whites. I think it's only happened once. X

Brenna24 · 29/11/2015 20:12

Oh Annie that is awful. Big hugs. Glad you are taking it so well. You are a strong, brave lady.

I used to get loads of EWCM when I was younger. Not much now and I still managed to conceive in August. It is a good thing to see but not the end of all hopes if you don't from my experience.

XL · 29/11/2015 20:22

So sorry to hear that Annie Sad sending big hugs x

Paige43 · 29/11/2015 20:25

Guess we shall see in a few weeks maybe :) x

Sorry to hear that Annie. Hopefully you can have a restful Xmas and start a fresh in the new year :-)

Not much to report from me, I've been spotting since thurs but that seems to be quite normal for me before I fully start AF

MrsBac83 · 30/11/2015 18:54

Ah so sorry to here your news Annie. You're doing so well being so positive. I'd be a mess. X

Nothing new my end. AF due today but no sign yet. Last few have been early so I guess they could be playing up still. I know why haven't dtd since last period for one reason or another so I know I'm not pg. Unless it's from month before but I was still getting bfn 2 weeks ago.

Good luck for December everyone x

Woody096 · 30/11/2015 19:02

Hi Ladies.

I saw my acupuncture lady today, turns out she suspected PCOS. she recommended I take Agnus Castis which relieves PMS, but also promotes ovoluation & regular cycles, might be worth it for those who suffer irregular cycles etc. just adding my pennies worth really xx

Brenna24 · 30/11/2015 22:28

Annie I am on the TTC after a miscarriage thread too. There is some good support there for people going through things. It is so scary to start trying again after losing one and being afraid it will happen again even without the complications you had.

Paige43 · 05/12/2015 13:19

Afternoon everyone! How was your week? X

Brenna24 · 05/12/2015 13:40

Good afternoon Paige. How are you? Work has been crappy for me this week. But we have managed to DTD last night, which is good as I am approaching my fertile period and DH is leaving tomorrow morning until friday. So hopefully I ovulate early this month.

Paige43 · 05/12/2015 14:41

Hey Brenna

Been a busy week. Unfortunately husband was away this week so missed my fertility window :(. Oh well, at least I can have a few drinks at the xmas party lol.

Brenna24 · 05/12/2015 21:31

Pretty much the same situation as me then. Hubby leavbes tomorrow until friday. Fertile window according to Ovia is ttuesday to saturday with ovulation on thursday. But I think Ovia may be a bit late in its predictions so I am thinking more like sunday to thursday and ov on tuesday. Sigh oh well. AS you say I can drink at christmas.

Bubbapup89 · 08/12/2015 22:10

I can off the mini pill end of September and we started Ttc after my first cycle. Am currently on cd21 and am getting impatient to test and am taking anything and everything as symptoms!
