Morning ladies,
I hope you're all well. Sorry I've been away for so long, I got a very early BFP some months back and then lost it the week later, so went into a bit of hibernation, got depressed and gave up trying after BFNs for a few months after that (note my cycles are only 23-max 28 days).
It seems loads has been going on and this is still the lucky thread with the recent BFP's. Huge congratulations ladies, I'm very happy for you
.
Brenna, I am really sorry for your loss, but hoping that this is the month for you xx
XL - I have everything crossed for you this morning. 4 days late woman! Test!!!! God I hope it's your time xxx
So, I have some news too. I got my BFP again yesterday. I thought about it and not just to sound like a prat gloating to tell you all the fact that I'm pregnant, but there's some info I want to share on this experience that might give you girls some hope too when you feel like all is lost as I did.
So..... My last period started 7 Nov and was very heavy and (sorry for tmi), very clotty on the first full day. Thereafter it was light and continued spotting even until now. We barely ttc last month through loss of hope. Just 3 times in all and didn't use OPK's the whole tome.
Anyhow. Yesterday feeling like a pee on a stick freak that I am, at 11am I decided to test - for no reason other than my boobs are very tender atm and never are. I virtually get zero pmt. i ignored the fact I barely finished my AF not out of the fact I knew my body, but because I was away with the fairies as usual and POAS comes as second nature :-)
So imagine my suprise when it was a BFP.
My point is there's lots to be aware of here. 1- you should trust your body. My boobs hurt and actually I've been windier than Scotland these past two weeks - embarrassingly so! Headaches too and ignored this.
2- I obviously had 'breakthrough bleeding' which I found out yesterday is where there's an overlap of pregnancy and your period hormones and the period still happens and it can be heavy and clotty (source Livestrong website amongst others).
3 - look at my test results. The pink sticks are Internet cheapies - they took nearly 10 minutes to show a barely faint result. The first 3 tests including the CB digital were taken yesterday between 11am-12 midday.
The 4th,5th & 6th were all taken this morning with FMU. The Internet cheapies looked so weak this morning when I was expecting them to be dark I panicked I was loosing again so took my 2nd CB digital which actually showed stronger today at 2-3wks. (Note - I am exactly 5wks today based on 13 Oct AF).
4- I got my first BFP with my loss at CD 23 with a CB digital before.... This time round at CD 25 (which would have been the day of my 'breakthrough bleed), I got a BFN with internet cheapie (I decided to save money and not use CB's anymore). So merrily carried on with life as normal.
5 - the Internet cheapies have caused me anxiety this morning because it's so faint even at 5 weeks that I had to use my second CB to stop myself going into full blown panic mode that I was about to miscarry, that it leads me to believe what's more valuable. Money or anxiety..... From now on I won't be buying anymore cheapies that take 5-10 mins to tell me the answer, even if they are 10mlu.
I hope my experience helps because if I hadn't been a freak yesterday and tested, chances are I wouldn't have known until next period overdue (which would have put me at 7.5wks!).
Also (tmi alert) my spotting now is a dark brown and with my first I had implantation bleeding CD 22-23 which was pinkish.
This time I'm not emotional at all, last time I cried at anything from CD20!
Fingers crossed for more BFP's this week xx
