Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

Best wishes,
K x

Probably is stress. Just that up until last month I've never had spotting. It's very random spotting also.

Ah well I just sit here and wait lol.

Paige43 · 12/11/2015 20:22

I am now in the waiting phase! 7 days to go! Trying not to symptom spot, in fact I am not experiencing any symptoms for either AF or Pregnancy.
Sorry to hear of your disappointment this month Paige! It is so disheartening but keep going & it will happen xx

Good luck woody! Fx for you and our positive thread!
Still no AF this morning... Trying to stay positive but I've had a late AF a couple of months ago so I'm too scared to test incase the bubble is burst!! X

redstrawberries101 · 14/11/2015 14:02

Fingers crossed for you all!!

Brenna24 · 14/11/2015 22:41

I'll join you testing next saturday Woody

Woody096 · 15/11/2015 23:34

Aww Brenna, fx it's a bfp & I actually hold out until next Saturday to take a test! No symptom spotting either!!x

Brenna24 · 16/11/2015 22:37

Lol Woody. I am feeling quite hot and clammy in bursts at the moment. Last time I got my BFP I felt hot and clammy all the time (but it was August and not November). I am trying not to make anything out of it. That and the random huge cramp I had at lunchtime today that lasted about 30 minutes. I could barely sit or walk and I couldn't pee until it stopped.

Woody096 · 16/11/2015 23:13

Fx Brenna it is an implantation pain. I have had no symptoms. Normally I get bloated, bad skin & very painful breasts before AF but nothing this time! Very weird!

XL · 17/11/2015 00:05

Still no AF...will be 4-5 days late tomorrow so I might test! Shock
Good luck ladies x

XL · 17/11/2015 07:12

I just thought I'd let you ladies know I got my bfp!!!!!!!Shock Grin

Woody096 · 17/11/2015 07:14

XL that is fantastic news! Congratulations!!! Xx

Wanderlust1 · 17/11/2015 07:35

Morning ladies,
I hope you're all well. Sorry I've been away for so long, I got a very early BFP some months back and then lost it the week later, so went into a bit of hibernation, got depressed and gave up trying after BFNs for a few months after that (note my cycles are only 23-max 28 days).

It seems loads has been going on and this is still the lucky thread with the recent BFP's. Huge congratulations ladies, I'm very happy for you Flowers.

Brenna, I am really sorry for your loss, but hoping that this is the month for you xx

XL - I have everything crossed for you this morning. 4 days late woman! Test!!!! God I hope it's your time xxx

So, I have some news too. I got my BFP again yesterday. I thought about it and not just to sound like a prat gloating to tell you all the fact that I'm pregnant, but there's some info I want to share on this experience that might give you girls some hope too when you feel like all is lost as I did.

So..... My last period started 7 Nov and was very heavy and (sorry for tmi), very clotty on the first full day. Thereafter it was light and continued spotting even until now. We barely ttc last month through loss of hope. Just 3 times in all and didn't use OPK's the whole tome.
Anyhow. Yesterday feeling like a pee on a stick freak that I am, at 11am I decided to test - for no reason other than my boobs are very tender atm and never are. I virtually get zero pmt. i ignored the fact I barely finished my AF not out of the fact I knew my body, but because I was away with the fairies as usual and POAS comes as second nature :-)
So imagine my suprise when it was a BFP.

My point is there's lots to be aware of here. 1- you should trust your body. My boobs hurt and actually I've been windier than Scotland these past two weeks - embarrassingly so! Headaches too and ignored this.
2- I obviously had 'breakthrough bleeding' which I found out yesterday is where there's an overlap of pregnancy and your period hormones and the period still happens and it can be heavy and clotty (source Livestrong website amongst others).
3 - look at my test results. The pink sticks are Internet cheapies - they took nearly 10 minutes to show a barely faint result. The first 3 tests including the CB digital were taken yesterday between 11am-12 midday.
The 4th,5th & 6th were all taken this morning with FMU. The Internet cheapies looked so weak this morning when I was expecting them to be dark I panicked I was loosing again so took my 2nd CB digital which actually showed stronger today at 2-3wks. (Note - I am exactly 5wks today based on 13 Oct AF).

4- I got my first BFP with my loss at CD 23 with a CB digital before.... This time round at CD 25 (which would have been the day of my 'breakthrough bleed), I got a BFN with internet cheapie (I decided to save money and not use CB's anymore). So merrily carried on with life as normal.
5 - the Internet cheapies have caused me anxiety this morning because it's so faint even at 5 weeks that I had to use my second CB to stop myself going into full blown panic mode that I was about to miscarry, that it leads me to believe what's more valuable. Money or anxiety..... From now on I won't be buying anymore cheapies that take 5-10 mins to tell me the answer, even if they are 10mlu.

I hope my experience helps because if I hadn't been a freak yesterday and tested, chances are I wouldn't have known until next period overdue (which would have put me at 7.5wks!).

Also (tmi alert) my spotting now is a dark brown and with my first I had implantation bleeding CD 22-23 which was pinkish.
This time I'm not emotional at all, last time I cried at anything from CD20!

Fingers crossed for more BFP's this week xx

XL - omg omg omg in typing my essay you got it too!!!!!!!!! I could cry for you knowing your history!!!! I'm so so happy it's happened for you naturally. Biggest congrats XL xxxx

XL · 17/11/2015 08:05

Ahhhh thank you!!! And congratulations to you too!!!! I'm still in shock!! I know it's early days too x

Brenna24 · 17/11/2015 09:16

XL and Wanderlust I am so happy for you both. Sorry about your loss too Wanderlust

MrsBac83 · 17/11/2015 12:01

Wow there seems to be a lot of bfps this month! Huge congratulations to all of you! Xx

Wanderlust I'm glad you mentioned about the cheapie internet tests. I used a couple of them and got bfn. But I found myself just not trusting them because they were uber cheap ones. (I never waited longer than the 5 mins though) I won't use them again.

I was so convinced I was pregnant the last week or so because of the symptoms I was getting. Doc put me on a course of antibiotics as he thought it could be infection(without testing!) Those symptoms have stopped now to be honest so maybe it was.
Hubby and I were away at the weekend and I had a few glasses of wine but nothing too major. Wouldn't hurt.
I am going to a girly weekend next weekend though which I'm sure will involve more than a few glasses Grin Maybe I will test again before hand just in case lol.
It was supposed to be our last girls get away before most of us start ttc next year. None of them know I'm starting the race early lol. X

Paige43 · 17/11/2015 14:01

XL YES!!!!! congratulations my love. I'm so happy for you :)! This has just made my day. Our group really is bringing positive vibes at the moment!
