New here TTC baby #1 Cycle #1

Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

So much for saying I wasn't going to test.. I'll tell hubby tonight and after I've phoned the doctors for an appt, I'll prob tell my mum. I feel like it's too early to get excited but trying hard to keep calm and de stressed. Wish you guys all the best of luck! I'll keep an eye on the thread to see how you are getting on !

I tested again this morning, BFN. Boo.
I still don't believe it though. Will try again later in the week maybe.

Nope not long! Although can't say I'm feeling particularly positive! I don't feel any different and feel the same as I would before AF ... No new symptoms

Yeah I think I was due on yesterday. I had what I thought was an implantation bleed last week but maybe it was early period. Dont want to go with that option though. I did read on another forum about a bunch of people not getting BFP until up to 8 weeks! At some point one or other reality will kick in.

Well according to that link, based on a 28 day cycle I should test tomorrow but my cycles have been a little shorter. Will try again at weekend.

XL are you testing on any particular day or just if AF is late? You wanna be hopeful but can't help feeling negative each month when nothing/signs happen. Then when something is new you over think it and build your hopes up.

Another person i know has just announced their pregnancy! ??. Why is everyone getting pregnant? I think it needs to be our turn now girls we deserve it 2!

Paige I'll give it the weekend and if AF hasn't arrived maybe Saturday I may test... I hate testing it's always negative! Seriously so many people I know are pregnant right now it's crazy!!!! I'm seriously praying!!!

I know what you mean about obsessing over every minute symptom. We're just teasing ourselves really but just can't forget about it.

I'm so glad I can share with you guys as hubby doesn't seem to interested. He will be if it's a bfp obviously but until then he doesn't get it.

I'm so confused! I was having spotting on and off all this week and after what my Dr said after she had nosey up there (said AF would come any day) on Thursday thought full AF would have arrived my now. But she still ain't here yet??? This spotting before my period only started last month. I have no idea what my body is playing at. Hmmm

I just want her to hurry up so I can get her over and done with!

Did a test just to be sure after obsessing on Google and thinking it was all sorts, but bfn. Which I knew it would be!

Paige, it could be stress that's delaying AF. Easier said than done but try take it easy! As long as your doing all the right things to try to conceive then you have done your best. It won't change the outcome by worrying.

Taking vitamins, exercising, doing the deed lol, eating healthy

Paige my AF was late a couple of months back. Was the 1st time ever that happened and I'm sure it was my body just playing tricks on me! Probably is partly down to stress as melvali said x
