Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

Best wishes,
K x

Hi everyone. I've not been around for a few days because I went out for a meal with OH the other night and he said he wanted to wait until after Christmas to TTC. I was a bit upset because I really just want to get on with it! But have to respect his wishes, and am hoping after Christmas he will be more excited about it....so wait we will!

What was interesting is that he said "he has something he wants to sort out first" but wouldn't tell me what. I can't help but think he might be planning to propose at Christmas! As I can't think what else it would be that he wouldn't just tell me. Last night he was a bit tipsy and kept saying "I do want a family with you I just have something to do first." Etc.

So...bit annoyed I've got to wait, but if that's the reason why then very exciting still! I'll be really annoyed with myself if I've jumped to conclusions though lol

Hope you are all well and had a happy Halloween! The tiniest cutest witch ever came trick or treating and when she left I had tears in my eyes, broody or what!?

Ok so for some reason I just felt the urge to do a pregnancy test this evening even though 'AF' has just left, anyway there is definitely 2 lines, ones a little fainter but even my hubby said he can definitely see 2.

The weird thing is that the Friday & Saturday before my AF arrived I had REALLY bad cramps like nothing I've had before, then I had 4 days of spotting & 5 days of what appeared to be AF.

Going to do another test in the morning to see but so far I have 2 tests with 2 lines.. I have no other symptoms & I'm really confused right now xx

Mrs Clarke ooh could well be a proposal. That would be lovely. Hopefully a pregancy will be round the corner also x

Annie maybe test again in a few days. If still unsure see your Dr. Good luck x

Woody096 · 01/11/2015 20:37

Annie that is really good news re the positive result. Will you go to the doctor to double check, especially since you have had AF? (Or not). My mum had AF until she was 5 month. What was your urge? Have you had any symptoms! Will keep my fingers crossed for you! X

Annie0369 · 01/11/2015 20:50

Thanks woody, yeah if I get a positive in the morning I'll definitely book an appointment for the docs, at the moment there's no other symptoms x

MrsBac83 · 01/11/2015 21:02

Good luck Annie. X

Missclarke - take this opportunity to get yourself in better health for pregnancy! Take the pregnacare, exercise and clean your diet and hopefully when you do start trying it will happen quickly for you!

Annie- many congrats!!

No one replied re what AF actually stands for? Also 2ww (although I assume this is the two weeks post ovulation leading to AF) Blush

XL · 01/11/2015 23:50

AF- auntie flo= period
2ww= 2 week wait
Sorry! X

XL · 01/11/2015 23:51

Congratulations Annie!!! I'm so pleased for you! It would be super rare to get a false positive so you must be pregnant! Maybe the bleeding was an implantation bleed? Flowers

Brenna24 · 02/11/2015 01:00

Congratulations Annie.

I'm back. I had a MMC on the 17th October. We found out on the 9th October the baby had died 2 weeks before. I am devastated. Baby Rowan was cremated on Monday and we got his or her ashes back on friday.

Paige43 · 02/11/2015 07:05

Woody096 · 02/11/2015 08:17

Brenna, apologies my stupid predictive text 'Brenda'xx

ren2903 · 02/11/2015 10:35

Brenna, what sad news. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time x

Annie congratulations, your instinct was amazing x

I'm sat with a hot water bottle as AF has arrived, but it is seeming more like a 'normal' period so far so can't complain too much!

XL · 02/11/2015 17:52

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that Brenna... Big hugs to you x

XL · 02/11/2015 17:55

Has anyone seen all the fertility stuff in the news today? I really hope that they don't pull all funding for fertility treatment that would be devastating for lots of people. I think I'm going to make a GP appt this week for a referral now.. I was going to give it 6 months but I may aswell get the ball rolling I think and my consultant did say go after 4 months so If it happens meanwhile then fab but at least I'll get the ball rolling if not!

Paige43 · 02/11/2015 18:03
