Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

Best wishes,
K x

I'm going to try and occupy my self too wander! Less psycho behaviour Grin love it! X
Thanks cats that does sound a bit annoying, let's hope the app is wrong ish and the opk moves your days around a bit... I guess as long as you manage a go on positive day and a couple of days after it'll be all good! Don't give up yet Smile X

XL · 08/10/2015 19:49

How are we all doing?

Wanderlust1 · 08/10/2015 20:54

Trying not to lose the plot.... 9 days to go and I'm counting down the days like a kid waiting to go to Disneyland. Arghhhhhhh

How about you?x

TheCatsMother99 · 08/10/2015 22:47

The 2WW is a pain in the ass, no doubt about it.

I know I'll be asking for a crystal ball this Xmas so I'll just know immediately rather than have to wait 2 bloomin weeks! Wink

XL · 09/10/2015 00:34

Lol!!! 10 days to go for me! It's a killer there's no doubt about it!! And impossible to tell!!! I've felt so bloody raging today! I could've argued with myself!! I'm not normally that bad but am not reading anything into it! Bloated too... That can be quite normal and eat!!....Well I think I've ate the ass out of a dead donkey!! Grin seem to have a thing for cheese on toast the last 2 days which is great considering I'm trying wheat and dairy free diet for my endo!! Ha! Other than that great! Shock xx

Woody096 · 09/10/2015 06:48

Hi ladies

This month I have been tracking everything with the ovia app which initially had my fertile window down as next week then it randomly changed to this week last night! I am very irregular so have purchased some OPKs. Now I am wondering if I have got everything wrong whilst ttc Confused

XL · 09/10/2015 19:33

I found the ovia app to jump about a bit and I'm regular! I think it depends on the info you put in to it.. I use it as a guide but then do opks aswell Smile

Wanderlust1 · 12/10/2015 08:31

Morning girls, how's everyone hanging on in there?
I think I'm out, my body is winding me up big time. Yesterday and I had really strong ovulation type pains. Today I'm CD23/10 DPO and ive started brown spotting that I sometimes get a few days pre AF. I started googling everything under the sun hoping it wasn't AF en route and took a test too (mad I know - I told you all physcho starts happening around this time), but it was a very blunt BFN. Darn you body!

I hope you girls have a better chance this month x

XL · 12/10/2015 12:46

wander!!!!!! That could be implantation bleeding!!! Small amount before af is due! Perfect description! Hang on in there and test after af is due if it doesn't turn up.
I've also been winding myself up convincing myself of every symptom under the sun!! Funny ain't we! I'm CD 22 and af is due 19th so will test after then if it doesn't arrive..I'm learning patience! It's hard!! Wink x

Wanderlust1 · 12/10/2015 13:23

Patience is definitely hard, I even dreamt about taking a test last night!! What a weirdo!

I feel like I'm literally losing the plot, it's all I think about in the 2ww and I stare at the apps wanting the days to pass faster, which is ridiculous as I feel like I'm not living in the 'now'.

I kind of feel like I have written it off as not being implantation bleeding because of the amount of girlies that I googled the crap out of all had the same thing and around only 10% of them seem to have actually been pregnant. I know I should be more positive, but I feel like if its not this month we should maybe take some time out.

Crossing my fingers for your lucky 4th month XL.
Which symptoms have you had? xx

XL · 12/10/2015 13:29

Everything!! Convinced myself of nausea for 3/7 even tho it's probably way too early for that!
Cramps, sore boobs, bloatedness, backaches, generally feeling like I could bite someone's head off!!! Grin all pmt symptoms really that's why I guess it's so hard coz the symptoms are like identical.... Grrrr it is really frustrating!! X

XL · 12/10/2015 13:32

I probably would take time out or be more relaxed about it but time is definitely not on my side!! If you're you're relatively young with no gynae probs it'll probably just happen if you're having regular sex... I'm getting old ( in terms of fertility) and have had surgery for fibroids and endometriosis too so I always feel like I'm pissing in the proverbial wind! Sad X

Wanderlust1 · 12/10/2015 14:40

Apparently you can feel nausea very early according to some sites.
But the general gist is that everyone is different, so you can never tell and its so hard when trying to research all of this, mostly because people don't respond on what the outcome of their experiences were.

You did make me chuckle, but I'm hoping for you that you're not pissing in the wind!! We are a lucky thread. So our numbers will be up soon fingers crossed! xx

How's everyone else getting on? xx

Pixie1988 · 12/10/2015 18:08

Hi,
I'm in my fertile window so trying to squeeze in dtd. 2ww is going to be very long this month.
I'm trying to be more relaxed that's why I havn't been on here much, so if I'm quiet that's why, but I'll be coming back to check on you guys Smile I havnt even done any opks this month!!

Good luck all x

XL · 12/10/2015 18:22

Well done pixie! I'm in awe of your relaxedness! Wink

Wanderlust1 · 12/10/2015 18:31

Me too!! Good luck to you too x

MrsBac83 · 13/10/2015 16:53

Hello ladies
Need to vent on here as I feel I'm going crazy! Hubby and I have been ttc since August but for one reason or another we weren't managing to dtd on the right days until this cycle so I wasn't really expecting anything to have happened. I'm currently 9dpo and af is due Sunday. I've been driving myself nuts analysing and googling every possible symptom going! I'll feel slightly nauseous and think ah-ha! But it could be nothing. Half of me knows I'm crazy to be getting so worked up, the other half is in line to buy a pregnancy test!
I've known people who are struggling to conceive and I've told them to chillax about it but then here I am wishing Sunday will come (without af obviously) quicker.
I've mentioned it to hubby but not much response! Why do we torment ourselves? I know I'm going to be so upset if af arrives. I'm trying to forget about it but it keeps creaping in to my thoughts.
We're not telling anyone were ttc yet so I can't speak to anyone else.
Feel better for getting it out already!
Rant over x

XL · 13/10/2015 18:29

Ahhh mrsbac know this feeling well! Am on my 4th cycle ttc.... You do manage to convince yourself of allsorts!! Try and leave the test until day after AF if it hasn't arrived or you'll drive yourself more nuts! Amazon and eBay do some fab deals on pregnancy test and opk bundles for a few quid, it'll save you a fortune! Good luck! x

XL · 13/10/2015 18:35

How are you doing today wander? x

MrsBac83 · 13/10/2015 18:51

Thanks XL.
I know I'm getting carried away with it. Must find project to occupy my mind to stop me thinking about it! Maybe knitting....

XL · 13/10/2015 19:21

Lol!! It's impossible!! Nothing can distract you! Grin

MrsBac83 · 13/10/2015 20:49

Doh! That's what I'm worried about XL. At least I know I'm not the only one thinking/feeling like this. X

Wanderlust1 · 13/10/2015 21:53

Hey **MrsBac I totally feel your frustration. I don't think I've ever been this loopy in my life! And i agree that it's so nice to have this group of girls to be able to vent to. So feel free!
Our time will come, it's just a head mess in the meantime. And don't laugh, but I actually started knitting to try and take my mind of it..... Knitted a baby blanket doh!!! Grin

Thanks for asking **XL , sadly AF got me good and proper overnight :-( so I'm out.
So weird that last cycle was 28 days and this one was 23.... But I suppose the positive is it's less time to the next try....
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you and the other girls xx

XL · 13/10/2015 23:06

Oh I'm sorry wanderSad that is strange to have such a short cycle! Although last cycle my af was 3/7 late which is unheard of! Our bodies... They certainly do like to play tricks!
Baby blanket is not weird at all Wink I've picked a pram and crib! Shock..... My days I've gone bonkers! x

ren2903 · 14/10/2015 08:34

Morning Ladies,

Sorry to hear about AF Wander but fingers crossed for next month!

You really can drive yourself mad with this stuff. The good news for me is that I am ovulating! 3rd day of testing this morning and I got a smiley face so pleased with that and I will try to go back to being relaxed about it all ...

I know what you mean about thinking/looking at baby stuff, I was never one of those girls that dreamed about the big white wedding etc but loved a good old look in the Argos catalogue at the baby stuff (showing my age now!)

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone, I think we must be due a BFP soon Smile
