Welcome Tidesout, and good luck for this month. Have you read back over this thread yet? There are some lovely success stories on here.

I'm doing ok, although this has felt like the longest week ever... No symptoms yet and constantly worrying. I think I'd feel better if I started to feel worse, if you see what I mean! Just have to keep telling myself I'm pregnant right now, and that's the important thing.

ababsurdum · 25/10/2015 20:07

Welcome back greenlizard, congratulations on the birth of your ds Flowers. Good luck ttc number 2, hopefully one way or the other you will be successful!

Welcome tidesout, you're not too old at all. There are plenty of positive stories on this thread as well as the over 40's pregnancy thread. I had my ds at 41 and am ttc number 2 aged 43. Fingers crossed this is your month.

Artioo the first trimester goes so slowly doesn't it. Are you going to book an early scan? Try and keep those positive thoughts first and foremost in your mind.

Cloud 30 weeks is fab! The weeks are going to fly by from now on.

I'm feeling much better today, I get a bit weepy every so often but mostly I'm feeling positive and very grateful for the wonderful little boy that we have. I need to try and get to the shops next week so I can buy some supplements and get him something to wear for Hallowe'en.

FattyFishwife · 25/10/2015 20:33

big waves to all

nothing to report here, but am off for my night of lurve at the hotel on friday night, so Im making sure i dont miss a supplement, that i rub the fertility statues (well a photo of them!) and that i have my conceiev easy lube on standby!!

FattyFishwife · 25/10/2015 20:34

special (((hugs))) for those that need them, as i know the difference one can make (even if its a virtual one!

ababsurdum · 26/10/2015 12:00

Fingers crossed for your dirty romantic weekend Fatty Wink

ababsurdum · 27/10/2015 14:40

Well I am back on the supplements. I need to read It starts with the egg and see what it recommends. I downloaded it but only read the first few pages as we conceived straight away. Probably should have done this before buying but never mind, anything is better than nothing.

Artioo how are you doing? So far so good I hope.

Artioo2 · 27/10/2015 16:30

Yes, so far so good, thank you! Some slight nausea today although it was so faint it might have been wishful thinking. Have taken the plunge and booked a doc's appointment for next week to get booked in etc. I'm hoping he'll agree to an early scan.

ababsurdum · 27/10/2015 19:51

I only had faint, almost imperceptible nausea/dizziness in the early stages of pregnancy (that was how I knew I was pregnant last time, even before I tested) and I got hardly any proper nausea with ds even later and he is just fine. Hopefully you can get a couple of early scans once you get booked in.

jassS · 29/10/2015 18:16

i never had any symptoms par sleepiness with my successful pregnancies....It is not a must! Good luck!

Tidesout · 29/10/2015 22:41

Hi everyone. Af now 3 days late. Did a pregnancy test from Boots on Tuesday which was BFN but still no af. Must have got my timings wrong with positive opk which was nearly 3 weeks ago! My normal literal phase is exactly 14 days.

Congratulations artioo hope all is well.

ababsurdum · 30/10/2015 08:08

Tidesout it could be too early for a bfp. Several posters here only got one later. Fingers crossed you caught that egg!

JassS how are things going with you?

Artioo I hope you are not stressing too much and that you can get booked in soon.

I've read the first (supplements) section of It starts with the egg and am going to ditch the royal jelly. I've doubled my dose of coQ10 but am still dithering over DHEA because of the potential side effects. Because the next 6 months or so are going to be our best/last shot I'm thinking I might give it a go but I'm a bit nervous. Anyone else tried it?

Artioo2 · 30/10/2015 09:56

Tidesout , I got a negative test a couple of days before I got a very, very faint positive, so it might be that it's too early.

I've been slightly more chilled about symptoms in the last couple of days, just trying to forget about it and go with the flow!

ababsurdum · 31/10/2015 12:09

Tidesout is AF still a no-show? Have you had a positive test now?

Fatty I hope you're having a lovely weekend away.

I'm still bleeding a little, it's just over two weeks since it started. I have done two pregnancy tests this week on Tuesday and today. Still testing positive but it was much fainter today (shouldn't have bothered today but it was there and I couldn't resist...). I'm still tempted to book a private scan to make sure everything has passed. I might see if I can get one for the middle/end of next week.

FattyFishwife · 31/10/2015 23:00

thanks abab I had a lovely night...as it turns out we had something to celebrate anyways, as it was the end of my husbands 6 months probation on his new job...he passed with flying colours and is not permanent!

we had a lovely meal, and i threw caution to the wind and had half a bottle of wine (my first alcohol in 8 months) I had had all my supplements, rubbed the ripleys fertility statues found somewhere on here, , had my fertility pin on, that i made myself, inserted some conceive easy fertility lube before wild rampant sex.

Im due to ovulate tomorrow (been temping) and we will have BD thurs, fri, sat and tomorrow...so if i cant get pregnant after all that, my eggs must be hard boiled!! and it may be time to think about giving up....

so from monday will be in the longest TWW of my life!

ababsurdum · 02/11/2015 12:50

Fatty it sounds lovely, glad you indulged a bit. Fingers crossed this is your month. Congrats to your dh for passing his probation with flying colours.

I'm not doing very well losing the half a stone that I wanted. I used to have, what was it again? Oh yes - willpower. No idea where it's gone the last year or so...

FattyFishwife · 02/11/2015 14:07

ooohhh i know about the lack of willpower abab I laugh and say its not my fault...i have a serious condition...its called an over active knife and fork!! :D

how are you feeling apart from that?

how is everyone else doing/coping with things at the mo?

ababsurdum · 02/11/2015 16:54

I'm feeling fine Fatty thanks. I'm not dwelling on what's happened which is good for me, it helps to look forward I think. I need to enjoy this time with ds (which I am) as if we have a sibling next year things will change drastically for him and us.

FattyFishwife · 03/11/2015 15:38

Glad to hear it abab I think the mental recovery is the biggest battle, but also the most important one

Im 2 dpo.....its draaaaaagging!!!

someone make it go quicker....please!

ababsurdum · 04/11/2015 09:57

Sorry, no tips to make it go faster I'm afraid. Just keep yourself busy - have you got a new project of some sort you can take up to help take your mind off it?

I remember the living your life in two week blocks feeling so well. I was so happy when we conceived the second time that we seemed to have bypassed all that. We'll be back to it next year I'm sure now.

ababsurdum · 06/11/2015 19:46

How's the tww Fatty? Are you symptom spotting?

FattyFishwife · 06/11/2015 23:25

haha shockingly so...im trying so hard not to, with this being my last ditch attempt, as i know in my heart it will be a BFN...

but of course, every little twinge MUST be an implantation cramp/pregnancy symptom, and not my skinny jeans being too tight

of course the fact that sweat is rolling off me most of the time cos im so hot, is a pregnancy symptom (and nothing to do with me putting the central heating on...)

Of course the fact im hungry all the time is down to me being pregnant and not because im a greedy bi-atch

of course my stuffy sinussy nose is because have a BFP in waiting and not because of said central heating....

I'll be 6 dpo tomorrow, still far to early to test or anything....

good job, im fairly chilled about this being my ;last time....TBH I'll be glad to give up the huge amount of supplements i take, trying to remember to rub prgesterone cream into my inner arms, and temping every morning then filling in my tracker apps in the evening!

so im finding that Im amusing myself more than anything...im still (after 5 kids/8 pregnancies) just like a first time TTC'er and not like a seasoned pro LOL Grin

ababsurdum · 07/11/2015 15:25

Ha ha, at least you have a sense of humour about it all Smile. I really hope that you are lucky this month.

I think I got my bfp at 10 dpo with ds. Last time I didn't test until 2 days after AF was due.

ababsurdum · 09/11/2015 07:59

Fatty how are you? Have you tested yet? I'm keeping everything crossed for you!

So it seems post-miscarriage hair loss is a thing according to Dr. Google. Just to add insult to injury! Hopefully it will settle down again soon, I've been shedding loads the last few days.

I think I've stopped bleeding now. We'll have to wait until after I've had my next period (recommended after taking the medical management drugs) before we can start trying again

FattyFishwife · 10/11/2015 11:38

abab....seems like its just you and i left in here at the mo :O

well im 9dpo today...and i caved and tested wth 2 different brand i/c's and a FRER with FMU this morning....all BFN's

just tested with 2 more I/c's with SMU (as i heard that some people have had stonger readings with SMU) but again...2 BFN's

I will test of friday, then maybe sunday (which is the day AF is due) ....then after that, im probably out, not just for this month but forever.
After everything being just right in october, if it doesnt happen, then i have come to the conclusion my eggs are all hard boiled now.

How are you feeling hun? Hows the hair loss going...mine falls out terrible due to the anti d's im on, but also whenever i have a baby too...its a wonder im not bald! Grin

When i had my MC at 14 weeks in 1996, my doctor said that she wasnt one of these people who believed in waiting for a certain amount of time, and that we could try any time we wanted when we felt up to it. the reason they say to wait, is so they can date the next pregnancy easier is all, because they will know when you ovulated and had a cycle, whereas if you havent had a bonafide period, the time you ovulated and therefore dating your pregnancy is harder

anyone else in their TWW or ready to test?

ababsurdum · 10/11/2015 12:39

Oh Fatty hopefully it's just a bit too early. You're not out til AF shows her face. Yes, I will be all alone if you leave the thread (for pregnancy or otherwise). I must have scared everyone off Xmas Sad

I took the epu's pregnancy test this morning and it was still positive unfortunately. Although I had the treatment 3 weeks ago I didn't pass anything until the Friday so I'll wait and test again Friday and call the epu then. This is such a pain. I feel fine but could still have retained tissues.
