Hey November bunnes, perhaps it's me but it says thread too big to post messages? If it is me then just then this thread die.

Thanks for everyone's advice on temping and OPKs it is very useful. ready4 I fancy a snooze it was tough getting out of bed today. Miserable weather out there.

Hi Chooster aka rr. Sounds like a good plan! I also work in IT for a bank, but all my colleagues are male so I'd be very surprised if they came up to me at the coffee machine and wanted to discuss the unthinkable

Not long to go for us now in Nov... 13 days

Happy Friday

Hi cityangel - good idea! How are you getting on with the CBFM?

conkertree · 17/11/2006 13:42

Chooster - my sister is an MNer - it was her who told me about it, and I started off with a different name, but she worked it out pretty quickly, and then I changed but within a few days she knew which was me again - i thought i'd just leave it now though cause i tell her most things anyway - but maybe if i want to ask something embarrassing i'll make up a whole new name

greedyguzzler · 17/11/2006 13:47

chooster.......hmmmmmmmm.....not sure it will catch on.....i think you will always be chooster aka RR. what is chooster anyway!!!!!????? i tried to change my name on here the other day too, cos i felt like i had given too much away and i wanted to ask a qu on the behaviour thread without anyone knowing it was me!!! (too embaressed of being a bad mother) it is all readys fault with her baby name thread and everyone divulging their kids names.....i feel so exposed!!!!!! (i know no one forced me!)
can't rem who was asking about the ov strips (and i cant check back on the thread!) was it chocolate someone....anyway....mine have been all over the place this month too. i think i am ovulating as we speak! and i havent had a +ve opk yet. do you check temps cos that should give you the best idea of if you did ovulate or not ( unless you are cityangel).
cityangel - are you sure you are leaving your thermometer in for long enough to equilibrate cos mine gives random results if i dont leave it in for at least 3 mins before pressing the button to start taking my temp. if you have had +ve opks then you had the surge of LH and have probably ovulated. when is AF/BFP due? i have bought some nipple tassles by the way. i got them yesterday, they are pink and sparkly!!!!! i will see if they help with the BDing tonight!!!

cityangel · 17/11/2006 13:51

Hey Conker, I read the instructions and plan to start it on CD1 as I bought it mid cycle. I am looking forward to using it and will keep the OPKs in the background to help understand for one more month.
I also plan to use the online charting but forgot last month. I can't access lots of sites at work so I need to get into a routine after work of updating it
My dh should be back today so I am a happy bunny that fancies a 2ww hug.
I am resolved to try and tone down our baby discussions as I think he is feeling under pressure oops Got him some vitamins that are meant to be good for the swimmers so fingers crossed

Cool stuff greedyg nipple tassles made me laugh so loudly my colleagues all looked up!

I'll try that with the thermometer. I usually press the button to turn it on and put it in. I'd love one with a lit screen. Maybe I'll get one if I break this one!

That sounds positive mentioning BFP. It's due a week today ish. hate the wait aargh

Just thought I'd copy and paste the roll call from the previous Nov thread...

  • KitKat - 21st-ish (eek!)
  • Cityangel - 24th
  • Greedy - end of Nov?
  • Honeyapple ? end nov

That's all I could find - any other Nov girls?

greedyguzzler · 17/11/2006 14:26

think there should be a conkertree in there somewhere too.....is that right? i reckon i might end up missing nov altogether, hope not, hope my slimey feeling down below is a good sign for ovulation! ( and not just last nights remains.....If you see what i mean!) Hee Hee! i am a bit gross aren't i?

MrsMcJnr · 17/11/2006 14:27

Glad you started a new thread so I can still talk to you didn't want to start one as I'm not even a Nov lady but have stuff to say!

Hello Chocolate Peanut - I have vowed not to use OPKs this cycle because I got a whole string of negatives last cycle (though I have had positives in other cycles) and the stress caused me to OV late I think. I know I did OV from my temps but the OPKs were no help at all. Hope the accupuncture helps, let me know. I might try it. I am going for Reiki tomorrow, never been before so don't really know what to expect.

Hello Cityangel - try not to worry about the temps, they can look erratic until the end of the cycle when suddenly it all becomes clear. I know you are using the FM but are you checking CM too?

My DH had his MRI today Greedy. It is definatley a slipped disc. Don't know which one though as I only know this from his voice message. The Consultant has asked him to think about dates for the op. Personally, if he needs an op, I think he should have it as soon after Christmas as possible, he wants to wait until I am pregnant but I don't think he can put it off on that basis, what will be will be. at the thought of having to take a break from TTC though - hopefully it won't be for more than a couple of cycles.

greedyguzzler · 17/11/2006 14:27

good luck by the way kitkat! how long have you been ttc? any already? will you test over the weekend?

MrsMcJnr · 17/11/2006 14:29

Fingers crossed for those testing soon.

bubble78 · 17/11/2006 14:30

well girls bfp is finally sinking in

just wanted to wish all those waitng for BFPs lots and lots of luck and waterfulls of babydust

have a great weekend

bubble78 · 17/11/2006 14:31

sorry shoud have said waterfalls of babydust

greedyguzzler · 17/11/2006 14:35

sorry about your dh mrsmcjnr. theres no arguing with an MRI really is there. the sooner he has the op the better and then you can get back to normality. maybe you wont have to stop ttc altogether.......you will just have to go on top and be gentle with him!!!

MrsMcJnr · 17/11/2006 14:38

I know but with him it is mind over matter a lot of the time and he just might not be up for it - that said, he'll be lying on his back all day bored so who knows what he might think about!

I do still have at least two more chances at my BFP before a NY op so let's hope we can be shattered together!

KitKat30 · 17/11/2006 15:01

Thanks greedy! This is my 2nd month TTC (no other kids, this will be our 1st ? am nearly 33 so feel like I want to get a move on!). Last month I got a very faint and brief BFP, but then evil witch AF came along, so I think I had a chemical pg.

Just like you MrsMcJ I was convinced that something different was happening?felt so strange. Anyway, hope it hasn?t messed up my cycle for this month. Having NO symptoms whatsoever!! I do really want to test this weekend, but am sort of nervous now of testing too early ? if I can hold out, I?ll wait and do a test on Tues?

MrsMcJ ? sorry to hear about your DH, hope he has a vv speedy recovery!! This is going to be waaaay TMI ? but the other week DH was feeling really ill but I had ov pains, ewcm and a +opk so there was no way I was letting him be!!! Well, we kind of ?helped ourselves along? (if you know what I mean ) and then he ?jumped on? for the last little bit. Not very romantic but it did the job!! Oh god ? please let him never find this thread!!! I?m so glad these boards are anonymous?

Congrats Bubble!

KitKat30 · 17/11/2006 15:33

Oh no! Was that TMI for everyone?!? Forget I said it!!! It never happened!!

MrsMcJnr · 17/11/2006 15:38

Kitkat - sounds very sensible to me, needs must! Hope you get lucky this cycle. DH has just called to say that he wants to try and have the op before Christmas let's just hope that he is up for action for the next vital week for me beforehand!

KitKat30 · 17/11/2006 15:57

Fingers crossed for you hon. What's happening with your job situation? You had a couple of new prospects I seem to remember?

conkertree · 17/11/2006 17:03
  • KitKat - 21st-ish (eek!)
  • Cityangel - 24th
  • Greedy - end of Nov?
  • Honeyapple ? end nov

although i dont really know when af would be due cause i never have two cycles of the same length in a row, i reckon i probably couldn't stop myself testing on about 28th if it hasn't come by then

honeyapple · 17/11/2006 17:07

hi- after feeling v positive this month- i am now starting to feel a bit glum- worrying that we didnt BD enough, and not at the right time... getting confused at when i OVed.
I dont think i can stand anymore TTCing. My DS and DD were both happy mistakes... this TTC lark is doing my nut in.
Heh ho... whatever will be will be...

greedyguzzler · 17/11/2006 17:42

you dont mean that honeyapple! once you have it in your head that you want another i dont think you CAN change your mind! i have had a horrible week with my 2, esp d(!)s being a bit of a git ( having said that he has been adorable today!) and i somehow managed to cut his head open last week so we had the whole ambulance, casualty, stiches thing! ANYWAY! i then decided.....nope.....i am a crap mum already why subject another baby to me! NO MORE KIDS! but it only lasted about 1 day and i channged my mind back again! i am sure you dont mean it!

kitkat! that made me laugh! very unromantic.....but i have to say, since we have been ttc we have done the deed on several occasions without me having an orgasm and that is something that has NEVER happened before since we met 10 years ago! but now we are ttc i sometimes cant be arsed and once the deed is done i tell dh not to worry about 'finishing me off!' IYSWIM. it all gets very unromantic doesnt it!

greedyguzzler · 17/11/2006 17:43

MY GOD!!!!!!! dont i go on!!!???

KitKat30 · 17/11/2006 18:35

It's so funny how TTC eclipses every other emotion/need/desire you might be feeling at the time!! We women are nothing if not dedicated to our cause!!!

honeyapple - dont let it get you down. Easier said than done I know

honeyapple · 18/11/2006 10:41

Good morning all

Thanks for the words of support and encouragement. Of course I still desperately want another baby... its just I never thought it would be so hard to get PG. All the years of worrying about getting PG... and now the more i read about TTC, the more difficult it seems to be...

Chooster · 18/11/2006 22:04

Hey girls - Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Greedy - Re: Chooster - Choo is a family nickname and my DH calls me Chooster (normally when he wants something! . And Choo was already taken on here so Chooster it is!

KitKat - I think your approach is a great idea - maybe not the most satifying but does the trick! That could be the one this month

Let us know how you get on testing KitKat!
