Oh merry I am so, so sorry to hear this its just truly horrible news for you and your dp. I don't know what to say other than I'm thinking of you and really hoping you've got loved ones around you to support you through this next bit. You will get through this, perhaps not what you want to hear but I mean it in the most supportive way. Sending you big hugs x x

CarrotVan · 24/09/2015 09:39

Oh Merry I'm so sorry. I hope you've got all the support you need around you

Stace2015 · 25/09/2015 15:34

Can i join?! 28, TTC for just under 2 years. Feeling a little disheartened today so could do with some upbeat buddies Smile

Southy84 · 25/09/2015 17:25

So sorry I haven't been around I haven't been able to get on here, it kept saying the site was down and it looks like it wasn't... dizzy I'm devestated to hear your news I am so so sorry, I'm thinking of you and sending Flowers and virtual hugs xx

Southy84 · 25/09/2015 17:26

Welcome stace :)

nightandthelight · 25/09/2015 18:19

Welcome stace :) Are you having investigations etc for fertility? Appreciate it must be tough after so long but I have seen several ladies on MN conceive after a similar amount of time so don't give up :)

Southy84 · 25/09/2015 19:12

Sorry just realised my message didn't type fully stace don't give up hope, I had been trying for over two and a half years, previously tried for two years and had a mc, we'd just been referred for ivf due to unexplained infertility, it works out I was pregnant at my fertility appointment and now 6 weeks. I know it's so incredibly hard to stay positive but sometimes it takes a little longer for some than others. This month we stopped properly trting and just bd when we wanted to, and by the looks of things I OV earlier than I thought so the spontaneous bd worked. I have everything crossed for you x

MsGlitterJunkie · 26/09/2015 08:03

Welcome stace! As the others have said, don't give up there's always hope and so much they can do for you if there is an issue. I've had two mcs and was referred for infertility investigations but fell pregnant before my appointment! Exactly the same thing happened to a close friend of mine.

southy how did your scan go yesterday?

wish1406 · 26/09/2015 08:04

Hello all, sorry I've not been on here for weeks. I'm so sad to see dizzy has experienced a loss. I'm so sorry dizzy I hope you are well supported through this awful time. Sending you lots of love and hugs.
Southy I'm so happy for you! Pregnant after all! This happened to me as I was due fertility bloods the day I found out so quickly cancelled!
Hope all you other lovely ladies are well. I'm getting over the worst now. The sickness is still here but getting better. Still needing my omeprazole (found that out the hard way as just ran out on holiday) yuk to reflux!
I'm having my 20 w scan Monday week! Very excited! Feeling baby move a lot now! Can even see the movements! DH can now feel it too! Also have popped out a rather large round bump!
Lots of love to you all.
18+6 today

It's so nice everyone keeps coming back here, it's so nice to hear from you all. Sorry I didn't update on my scan, I was devestated to hear dizzys news and forgot all about it, it went well they think I looked pretty much exactly 6 weeks and I saw the heart beat which made me cry. It feels less real now weirdly and strange to think there's an actual baby growing inside me. I still feel nervous and know it's still at its delicate stage and wishing time away to the 12 week scan.

Thank you wish time seems to have flown for you :) glad you are feeling a bit better, it's strange I know a couple of people who have got to the fertility clinic and actually already been pregnant at the appointment

How are you doing glitter?

nightandthelight · 26/09/2015 10:52

Great news southy :) Seeing the heartbeat is an incredible experience.

Sorry to hear you are still suffering wish, hope it passes soon! Are you going to find out the sex?

I saw a kick for the first time today, amazing :)

Southy84 · 26/09/2015 11:18

It was, and very unexpected :) how are you night? How far along are you now?

nightandthelight · 26/09/2015 11:24

21+2 and having a little boy :) I am well thanks, apart from a cold which hit me this morning which is a pain as heading off for a week in Llandudno! What is your due date?

Southy84 · 26/09/2015 12:05

Oh lovely night congratulations! I've also had a cold, luckily it's not hit too hard but still been feeling sorry for myself. Hope yours doesn't last long and you have a lovely week! At the moment 15th may but have a feeling it will be put back a few days x

Stace2015 · 26/09/2015 20:07

Thanks so much for the words of advice girls, really cheered me up!

nightandthelight* yes we sort of are.. I am waiting to have a 2nd blood test carried out to find out if I'm actually ovulating and my husband has been refered for a semen analysis.. Should get both results back by the end of Oct.. Fingers crossed we are eligible for help after that!

Any advice on what the usual steps are after this?! Thanks my lovelies :Grin

nightandthelight · 27/09/2015 07:47

Glad to hear things are moving forward stace :) fx you don't actually need any further help like a lot of ladies who seem to get pregnant just as they are meant to start treatment!

I'm afraid I don't know what the next steps would be but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon :)

Just woke up to a beautiful morning in Llandudno. Am going to enjoy myself cold or no cold!

nightandthelight · 27/09/2015 07:48

Sorry to hear about your cold southy :( May is a lovely time to have a birthday, lucky bean!

Stace2015 · 27/09/2015 08:31

nightandthelight yes I've heard that happens to quiet a few ladies, fx indeed that it happens to me too! Smile

Just woken up in grey London so at least you have the sun on your side! Have a fab day x

Also, if you or any other ladies have some (new, old or strange) tips on TTC id appreciate it! Heard from a lady about cough syrup before OV and pineapple after to help implanting?! Anything is worth I try I guess! Confused

Southy84 · 27/09/2015 09:30

I like may night its normally a nice month weather wise too!

stace once Id had blood tests and dh SA our Dr referred us straight to a fertility clinic and had an appointment with a consultant, hopefully yours will do that once you have your results back. The month we were successful we actually werent meant to be properly trying as we were going on hols and I was feeling quite down, the only things I did differently was no temping for the first half of the month - started bd once AF had gone and whenever we wanted to- ie twice in a day of we wanted and not leaving a days gap all the time. I definitely felt more relaxed, I had wine and things I wouldn't normally have had, I also had been having reflexology which sorted my cycles out a lot and my reflexologist actually said last month we were spot on with the timing of the appointment so who knows if that helped. I had also swapped milk for almond milk as part of a diet (just thinking of everything in case it helps). I hate it when people say "relax and I wil happen" because when you are trying for that long you can never fully relax but maybe a combo of the things I mentioned worked for me, or maybe it truly was luck. I found doing the reflexology was not only relaxing but sorted my cycle length and temps out so maybe worth a go? I only went once a month too so didn't break the bank!

Stace2015 · 27/09/2015 10:21

Congrats on getting your BFP!

Reflexology sounds like a good one, may have to give it a go. Can i ask, when you were actively trying did you try every day or every other day?.. lately we have not been 'on it' so much but try to get it in at least twice during ovulation..

Sorry but I'm new to this so don't know some of the terms such as temping, bd..Confused

Southy84 · 27/09/2015 11:12

Thank you still in shock as combined we'd been trying for about 4 years. We'd been trying every other day and doing temperature (bbt) every morning, you need a special bbt thermometer that reads to two decimal places, I logged mine on a app called fertility friend- I think a lot of the ladies here use that too. Weirdly I think I actually got pregnant before I thought Id ovulated so don't focus on when you think you OV (I'm worried I ruled out quite a few months by doing that) just try every other day your whole cycle at least Til you have some answers from your tests. I wasn't great at temping but I know it worked for a lot of people on here so I sure you'll get some better answers from others :)

MsGlitterJunkie · 27/09/2015 18:02

Great to hear your scan went well southy seeing the heartbeat for the first time is indescribable, really pleased for you Smile

Lovely to hear you're both getting on well night & wish

stace I drove myself mad with temping, ovulation kits and predictors etc. you name it, I tried it and it all got a bit stressful if I'm honest. And all of those things are an estimate, not 100% accurate. The simple way is to do the deed every other day as soon as your af stops and try to remember that your body is not a machine, mine just did whatever the hell it wanted to temping or no temping OPK or no OPK! Here's hoping you won't need any more tests.

I'm suffering with a cold too so feeling a bit sorry for myself but on the upside I'm off on holiday tomorrow, yay!

I had my 12 week scan & blood test on Thurs which went really well (baby looked, v healthy strong heartbeat and tiny nuchal fold) until they told me it would take two to three weeks for my blood test to come back and get my risk score for downs, Edwards & patau syndrome. I had a huge meltdown because I've been majorly anxious from day one and really needed to know sooner than two to three weeks!! So, my lovely fiancé stepped in and sorted a private test for Fri morning with results coming back two hours later. Great thing is I'm super low risk for downs, Edwards and patau syndrome so I can now relax a bit and enjoy my holiday Grin will post a pic if I can work out how to do it on my phone!

nightandthelight · 28/09/2015 07:05

Great news glitter :) Enjoy your holiday!

stace the month I got my BFP I was Temping, using the dual hormone opks, taking evening primrose oil up to ov along with grapefruit juice and pineapple juice after ov. DH and I were both eating 3 Brazil nuts a day :)

Mummyofonesofar · 28/09/2015 13:41

So pleased southy that everything looks great!

Yay glitter glad you had a lovely scan.

wish1406 · 28/09/2015 16:39

stace I did the same as night, Brazil nuts, B6,B12, EPO, agnus castus, pineapple juice, temping, opk... It might be a coincidence though... But it seemed to work for both of us. Although according to my dates we also dtd day before and day of OV then had 2 weeks in the sun on holiday so could have been a combination of good timing and relaxing in the sun on holiday?!? Lots to try xxx
