Thank you, just got off the phone to the epu and good news my hcg has over doubled, they will now offer me a scan tomorrow so going back at 1:30, I'm now terrified about the scan but feel glad the levels are doing the right thing x

Mummyofonesofar · 14/09/2015 12:45

Super news Southy !!!

Southy84 · 14/09/2015 12:59

I'm so nervous I feel like im going to be sick!

Southy84 · 14/09/2015 13:36

Forgot to ask and just called back and levels are 3284 hope it's not rising too quickly, anyone have experience of this? (It was 1215 two days ago)

Mummyofonesofar · 14/09/2015 13:39

Southy I think they multiply at different rates, how many weeks+ days are you?

Southy84 · 14/09/2015 13:49

I'm 5+1 (although I'm convinced im not as far as that due to late OV)

Mummyofonesofar · 14/09/2015 13:56

Still in the normal range for 5 weeks (high for 4) could be twins!

Southy84 · 14/09/2015 14:03

Dh would be pleased ... Lol I don't mind as long as the baby is ok if it's babies I'm only doing this once!

Mummyofonesofar · 14/09/2015 14:21

You have great levels so I would try not to worry too much, good luck for your scan tomorrow Smile

Southy84 · 14/09/2015 14:24

Thank you mummy x

CarrotVan · 14/09/2015 15:06

That's really positive southy

DizzyMerry · 14/09/2015 17:54

Your levels are definitely doing the right thing southy. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Southy84 · 14/09/2015 18:22

Thank you all, can I just ask a random question, my hair always malts a fair amount should it continue to do this when pg? I'm having a small amount of malting (like I normally would) but it's worrying me as I didn't think IT continued into pregnancy... I know I'm being ridiculous aren't i. My mind is working overtime :(

Mummyofonesofar · 15/09/2015 07:24

southy my hair always sheds everywhere, even now - nothing to worry about x

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 09:06

Ok thank you mummy I literally don't feel like I'm coping at all, this is ridiculous, woke up with bad cramps this morning and was too scared to go to the toilet just in case. I need to get a grip :( x

Mummyofonesofar · 15/09/2015 09:36

southy I know it is very scary, I had some bleeding at 6 weeks and they refused to do my levels for me and said to wait it out until I cried to my GP and she got me in for a scan at 6+5w to check everything. I thought the worst after my mc in May and the waiting for a scan is one of the worst things but with your levels increasing so try to stay positive and hopefully your scan at 1.30 today will show at least one healthy baby ?? but remember that you are very early and it is not likely you will be able to see the heartbeat yet, just a gestational sac so you may find yourself back in limbo with another appointment in 1-2 weeks time. Big hugs x

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 10:00

I don't rhjnk they will see anything, that's whats making me nervous too, I just can't get over the shock of finding out I am pregnant let along deal with losing the baby already, it's taken so incredibly long to fall pregnant again that I think I'm so scared that if something bad happens I will be waiting that long again. Sorry for ranting I don't have anyone really to talk to, thank you for listening and for your advice mummy, I'm glad that your Dr listened to you, if I don't get offered more blood tests I think I may go back to my dr x

DizzyMerry · 15/09/2015 10:54

Sending lots of positive vibes your way southy. Fx all goes well at your scan x

MsGlitterJunkie · 15/09/2015 12:58

Crikey so much to catch up on!

Fab scan photo miss exciting times.

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time southy and sorry you had to cancel your holiday but absolutely great news re: your HCG levels it's a positive sign for sure. I've got everything crossed for your scan today. The EPU will look after you so don't worry if they don't see much it's totally normal at this stage. And you're not ranting by the way, feel free to say how you feel - that's what we are here for.

I has a bit of day of it yesterday, didn't sleep a wink on Sunday night as my heart was just racing so fast I thought it would burst out of my chest! Think I was panicking because I'd had quite a lot of pain all weekend so my mind was just in overdrive, so, I found myself back at the private clinic yesterday afternoon for another scan. Never felt so relieved in all my life, baby is fine and I've been moved forward by 3 days - looks a lot more human now too! Got another scan on 24 Sept when I'll be 12 +4 so they can do nuchal translucency measurement, then perhaps I'll be able to relax a bit!!

CarrotVan · 15/09/2015 14:19

Southy hair does weird things during and after pregnancy. Some people shed less/ more, some people go suddenly curly/straight. It's all very odd

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 17:07

Thank you all again, I don't know what I would have done these last few days without you all. So the scan went well, they could see a sac in the right place, they seemed pleased with where it was and my hcg levels too and said things are perfect for where I am. I have got to go back next Friday for a Follow up scan and at that point will know if everything is truly ok x

Mummyofonesofar · 15/09/2015 17:44

glitter great than your scan showed all is well, I hope you can begin to enjoy it soon!

southy it sounds like the scan went perfect, fingers crossed for next Friday. Try to relax until then, it's not ranting at all. Here for you x

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 17:52

glitter I'm so sorry I didn't pay full attention to your post, I feel so bad. I'm so so glad you and your baby are ok. I'm not surprised you were panicking, take it easy won't you hun x

MsGlitterJunkie · 15/09/2015 18:26

Oh I am so pleased your scan went well southy and don't be daft and don't feel bad about not reading my post properly, I skim read everything at the best of times! Smile Fingers and toes and everything else crossed for next Friday, sounds like everything is heading in the right direction.

Thanks mummy am determined to chill out, I go on holiday on 28 Sept for 6 nights so that should do the trick!!

Southy84 · 15/09/2015 19:01
