Lulu I only took 3 of all the clothing for DS but because I ended up having a csection I was in quite a few days and I ran out of clothes for DS and had to make my mom run to sainsburys to buy him more Grin so I thought I'd be on the safe side and add in an extra 3 :)
Oh no does ur DS like cat food too! My DS always tries to grab the cats food.

Oh god Bears!! That's auto correct for u!!! GrinGrin haha! And biscuits are an amazing idea! I love biscuits. And exH is my birthing partner! He wants to be there for the birth like he was for DS so I've said its okay as long as he just supports me and doesn't piss me off. I don't want anyone else there as last time it stressed me out and was hard to concentrate.

Oh no Ducky Confused that slightly worries me about my DS as my DS sounds 100% like urs. Everything uve ever told us he does or doesn't do is exactly like what my DS was like at that age. Honestly, it's like u have DS's twin over there! I mean my DS is still awful with sleep now and doesn't sit still when out. Confused
Let us know how he gets on at the doctors on Monday Flowers

zombiemeow · 10/07/2015 19:10

Ha lulu I missed your post about the cat food! Grin

cupcake it's so strange, we have matching h's and matching ds'!

I'm just really really hoping it's a phase Hmm I have been trying to get him to sleep doe the last 4 and a half hours (when he first got tired) he's just drifted off, it won't be for long though. I have been holding him to sleep recently because it's so difficult to get him to sleep any other way, but now I'm putting him in his cot and giving him his dummy if he cries. Am finishing off his room tomorrow and then moving him in on Sunday. Just got to do a little painting then get a comfy chair in there.

LuluJakey1 · 10/07/2015 20:12

DS is just crawling round the patio. DH has put some trellising from the shed right across it - about 20 ft and DS is crawling round under the benches, under the table and chairs, round the pots. He is scruffy again and has helped himself to a strawberry from my strawberry pots. I have a large glass of very dry, very cold white wine and DH has a bottle of stella. We are just watching him wondering if he will ever tire.

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 10/07/2015 21:21

He has finally given in. Has had a quick bath, his feed and is fast asleep. He should be exhausted, he must have crawled miles today possible exaggeration

I know I am exhausted - am going to bed in a minute.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 10/07/2015 21:31

Ducky DS has a phase quite a lot! He's awful sometimes at sleep then suddenly he's good for about a month again, then goes back to being awful!
It's tiring haha.
Hope ur DS likes his room! :)

Lulu that's good he's finally felt tired! So much exploring to do at that age! :)
My DS had also just dropped off to sleep.

zombiemeow · 10/07/2015 21:45

Well I hope both our ds are sleeping through soon cupcake! Grin Fwiw my dm said that my db never slept through, she was pg with me and said she would get in a stress thinking she wouldn't cope, then when I was born db slept through straight away! Maybe your ds will do that.

Lulu, does your ds have a routine or do you just go with the flow? And how much milk/food is he having now?

I have no idea if I'm doing something drastically wrong!

Cupcake92 · 11/07/2015 11:24

I hope so Ducky Grin

Just been shopping with DS , brought hospital bag things and other stuff :)
I've brought 50 maternity pads to start me off. I'm almost certain more will be needed tho Grin I got nappy bags for baby's bag, a newborn dummy, baby sponges, brush and comb, a travel shampoo for me and also dry shampoo, and I've brought baby a nice new changing Mat :)
I already have a travel sized head to toe baby wash and lots of nappy cream.
Oh annnnd I got a car seat too Grin it matches DS's car seat! :D so happy with it! Same design as DS's but it's in green and white, where as DS has black and white. :)

zombiemeow · 11/07/2015 12:04

How exciting cupcake! I loved shopping for my bag!

Am just starting to sort ds room so he can move in tomorrow. Have to put dd's things in storage bags and move them to the loft Hmm

Ds went in his walker while I was doing it and loved it! Grin then we had a MASSIVE smelly poonami

He slept better last night, then h came home drunk and started banging about waking ds up. I waited until h was asleep before waking him up again to tell him off, then each time I had to get up with ds I woke him up too just so he could see the damage he caused! Then I made him get up at 6.30 and look after ds while I got ready. Revenge is sweet Smile when I go back though he was back in bed..... And still is Angry

LuluJakey1 · 11/07/2015 12:28

He has a sort of routine Ducky. He usually gets up about 7/7.30, has his breakfast- cereal, banana and milk, then he gets washed and dressed and I try to take him for a bit of a walk- shopping in the village- which might mean he has a nap in his buggy when we get back for a bit. I do a bit of housie stuff and then he wakes up and he's off.
He crawls round and I play with him. Then he has his lunch- he is on more lumpy pureed stuff and soft stuff like melon strips. He's a good eater. Then he plays for a bit and I take him for a proper walk along the sea front or to the lighthouse where the birds and seals are. Or now he plays in the garden if it is sunny and I follow him round. He usually sleeps at some point for half a hour- not always.
When DH comes home, DH takes over and baths him, plays with him, gives him his tea etc.
This is all on a good day and he is pretty good and adaptable. But since he started crawling he is more determined and wants to do things and explore. This morning he has eaten a flower he pulled off a tub on the patio, scraped his knee on the edge of a paving stone, we have had crying over a pebble, because DH was in the shed and he was not allowed in and because he wanted to go on the stairs and I wouldn't let him. We are all off up the coast this afternoon for a walk and a picnic and he is scruffy and asleep Hmm

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 11/07/2015 22:01

I hope sorting the room went okay Ducky! And as for H! Angry glad u kept waking him up tho! That was good! :p

Lulu sounds like uve got a good routine going there. I do like routine a lot, keeps DS sane I think. But as soon as I break that routine he's a nightmare!

DS fell asleep at 9:30 again tonight. I'm feeling pretty worn out tonight. May have done a little bit too much today. The washing is still out as well, I've checked the weather and it's supposed to rain in the night, so I'm gonna have to go bring it in! Eugghhhhhhhhh.
My pelvis is getting so so bad now, my support band is starting to work less and less. I've noticed around lunchtime I'm in quite a bit of pain now and have to sit down. Whereas before I could be alright till about 5/6pm. Also at night my bottom of my back/ back of my pelvis , sort of clicks Into place every single time I roll over. I wake up everytime I hve to roll over as well so my sleep isn't great!
I've been constantly chasing up my physio and I've gotten nowhere. Not sure what else to do? I need to speak to my own midwife once she's back off her Holls!

LuluJakey1 · 11/07/2015 22:27

You must have waited at least two months Cupcake for this physio. That's awful. It must be really getting you down.

DS has only just gone to bed. I think he is teething. He is a bit drooly and chewing on things and whingey and he has had some horrible pooey nappies. His gums seem a bit red so I think he is. I have been putting his ring he chews in the freezer in a plastic bag after it has been sterilised - I read about it and it seems to soothe him.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 11/07/2015 22:29

Spoke too soon. DS is awake and now refusing to go to his bed. :( I just keep breaking down most nights now :( I get no help and it doesn't help that I'm in pain n also exhausted too :( I just want him to sleep and I just need a break :( his dad won't even have him at night because in his words "I get up at half 4 to go to work at 6, how am i meant to function if I don't get a good nights sleep"
Yet I have to function every day on hardy any sleep! And I go to work too! Oh and not forgetting I'm also growing a baby inside my stomach as well! :(
The aspect of having to do it all myself is getting to me now, even if H was here I know I'd still be doing it on my own. All day I clean, I cook, I do the washing, i go get food shopping, and look after DS, but i don't get a rest in the evening or night as I'm in pain, or DS is awake and refusing to sleep.

Sorry for the rant! I'm just so fed up

LuluJakey1 · 11/07/2015 22:52

Flowers If I lived near you, I would take him and give you a break and do your shopping for you Cupcake. You sound really down. I don't really know about SPD. Is there nothing that helps it? No way you can lie or any medication?

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 12/07/2015 07:14

Aw thanks Lulu Flowers I was just feeling really fed up last night. Really just needed sleep and a good rest. The spd is hard Lulu as sitting down hurts and so does lying down. I really would love to get my birthing ball out as that helped sitting on that when I was pg with DS. I'm too scared to use it tho incase I go into early labour again Grin
I ended letting DS sleep in my bed last night as I just needed to go to sleep.

Cupcake I've got some maternity pads and disposable pants that I didn't end up needing/using. I'll bring them for you when we meet up!

zombiemeow · 12/07/2015 12:30

Hope you had a nice walk lulu Smile has it been nice weather for you? Hope ds is feeling better with his teeth now.

Cupcake I really can't believe they have left your physio so long Hmm and didn't they class it as an 'emergency referral'? Or did I make that up? I would be putting in a complaint if I were you. And how incredibly selfish of your h, you are doing it all alone and your pregnant, exhausted and in pain!!!! What an arse!

Ha, my h was incredibly hungover the other day, so I woke him at 6.30 to look after ds while I get ready, he had the cheek to turn around and say 'no I'm too tired' ha! I put ds next to him and he had to get up Grin I ended up with food poisoning last night though Hmm I felt awful. I went to bed at 8.30!

LuluJakey1 · 12/07/2015 16:33

It has been nice Ducky. Rained through the night but it was lovely and cool and is nice and warm but not too hot today. We have walked for 8 miles today and it was lovely. The seafront was warm but there was a bit of a breeze. We had a drink and sandwiches sitting outside a pub in a walled garden area and DS had a play.

He is in our garden now on the lawn with DH who is just wandering round after him and repositioning him when he gets near things we don't want him near. He is ignoring DH completely. Grin Really intent on doing what he likes. I am sitting under the tree on a lounger- he is not interested in me either.

I do think he's teething Ducky, no teeth but he has all the signs. How long do they take to come through the gum?

Hope DS is feeling better today and you.

And you Cupcake. Could your mum take DS for an afternoon and give you a break?

OP posts:
zombiemeow · 12/07/2015 18:49

I have no idea how long although ds has had symptoms for weeks now Confused he's going for his drs appt tomorrow so I will check that too.

He's in his own room tonight and I am terrified Hmm he is so tired but as soon as I put him in his cot he's wide awake.

He keeps doing a little coughing noise too, bit not a proper cough if you know what I mean.

So worried Sad

LuluJakey1 · 12/07/2015 19:04

Might it not just be a phase. DS is going through a phase of not being tired until later- he is still in the garden after his tea. He could be up until 9 or even later. I think the Dr has worried you unnecessarily at this point.

What are his symptoms?

OP posts:
Lillamyy1 · 12/07/2015 19:24

Just caught up on the thread. Hope your DSs start sleeping more Ducky and Cupcake!
My DS has been exhausting as well, but more in the day than the night for the last few days. He wants to be feeding nearly constantly, although half the time he's just using me as a dummy because he's gone off his dummy. He's also waking me up at night not just when he's hungry but so when he's taken his dummy out and can't put it back in, or when he's trying to suck his fingers and can't work out how to!
He's been very clingy and is even getting cross in his pram, wanting me to carry him instead.
Apparently it's normal for babies to do thos stuff at 11/12wks though because they're going through a developmental leap.
I'm soooo knackered though! I'm waiting for DP to come home so I can go to bed and do can keep DS downstairs for a few hours and give him a bottle while I have an early night. I was planning for DP to give him some formula but have just realised that the tub of powdered stuff must have gone bad by now because we've had it since he was born! Luckily I've stored some bm in the freezer but not much so DS will probably have most or even all of it! It's so long since he's had a bottle that I do t know how much he has any more!

zombiemeow · 12/07/2015 19:39

Lulu it's been going on since he was 4 months. He doesn't go to sleep until late, then wakes up every 30/60 mins, up at 3/4 for a feed then up for the day at 5. He's impossible to get down for nap etc. I hope it is a phase but it's been going on for so long now Hmm he was better last night though so shall see how tonight goes. I definitely won't be putting him on anything to 'calm him down' but she said she wanted to rule out reflux etc. I think his teething is bad too as his drool is ridiculous, he's been pulling his ears, chewing everything, had red cheeks and now has a sort of fake sounding cough. We shall see!

Lil was the feeding better before ds started feeding like mad? I have more formula if you need it/think it helps? I think I have 4 (either 4 or 2) as ds is on number 2 now. I think it needs using within 4 weeks of opening.

The bloody people who live at the back of us have decided to have a huge bonfire of something in their garden and the smoke has gone mad, ds room is at the back so I have had to close his windows and it's really stuffy Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 12/07/2015 20:11

That's really inconsiderate of them Ducky. It's too warm for closed windows. You must be knackered with getting up like that every night. I am with getting up at 5am with DS at the minute- although DH did it this morning and he will tomorrow if DS wakes up.
He is still outside with him at the minute. They are on the patio and DS is in a little truck thing being pushed round and laughing. But he cries if DH stops. He is going to bring him in in a minute and they are going in the bath and we'll see how quickly he looks tired.
I can't believe how much energy he has. But he is easy going and seems to concentrate on things so I think it is just energy.

DH is on about us TTC again but there is no way I could manage 2. I want to wait at least another year before we start even trying.

Cupcake92 · 12/07/2015 20:19

Tori I do some of those things atm, but hoovering I can't stop lol! I'm a Hoover addict. I think I Hoover at least twice a day.

Lill thank u! :) and I hope u have a nice night and get some sleep!

Ducky, they said it was an "urgent referral" but can't be that urgent can it! Ur DS may sleep better being in his own room! U never know! :) let us know what the doc says tomorrow.

Lulu teething can take months! My DS started teething at 3 months but never cut his 1st tooth till about 9 months old Grin
And I could ask my mom but she always seems to be busy and now has a new dog which DS is very uneasy about and gets a bit scared as he bites DS 's trouser leg.

I'm not sure if DS is coming down with something or he's just being a nightmare lol
Went out for a meal today with the family and DS normally sits and eats and loves it being with everyone, but today he just wanted to sit In his pram and whenever i got him out he screamed and slapped me and threw himself back, then was fine when I put him in his pram with his iPad. Then just as we left he had an upset stomach.
But he's been screaming and shouting all day and just been very unsettled. It's been a long hard day and I pray he sleeps tonight. He's not been eating a lot today so just given him bits and bobs he likes, like toast and chips and banana.
Oh heartburn has most definitely set in! I've had awful awful heartburn this evening! And baby is doing some crazy summer saults in there!

zombiemeow · 12/07/2015 20:19

Aww sounds like they're both having a good time! Have the cats still been keeping away from him? Dm's cat was sat next to ds earlier, ds grabbed her tail and pulled, think he came close to being given a slap by her!

Have you gone off the idea of having two close together? I agree it would be absolutely exhausting! I would love another at some point though
