Yes exactly Ducky even my midwife said I'll need inducing at 38/39 weeks for sure. Baby is almost 6lbs already! I'm 35 weeks Friday so he's pretty big! They said on my scan in 2 weeks he may have levelled out his growth, if not and he's continued to grow fast then it's the diabetes. So I'd have thought I'd need to be induced. At the next appt I'm going to push for induction at the latest 39 weeks because my chance of vaginal birth is decreasing the bigger he gets! :(
But he's a healthy weight now So I can do lots of natural things to bring labour on.

As for the bh he said I need to be seen in pregnancy assessment unit seen as they hurt just incase it's made me dilate.

Cupcake92 · 24/09/2015 09:40

I'm in pregnancy assessment. Braxton hicks are painful n making me have this weird pressure in my bum :(
Going to examine me soon to see if there's any cervical change

They are happening every 7 mins

zombiemeow · 24/09/2015 10:13

Oh my god cupcake! Really hope your ok, you have a good size baby so maybe he just wants to meet you early! How long have you been there? Update us when you can.

Sorry I haven't been posting much, am on a right downer, ds has stopped sleeping completely now

Cupcake92 · 24/09/2015 11:50

Not dilated at all so they sent me home and said its just braxton hicks.

Eugh fed up now :( how can I get him out? Lol

Aw no Ducky that's not good :( really hope someone gives u help soon!

zombiemeow · 24/09/2015 14:31

Oh no cupcake! I thought I'd come on here to find a comment saying you were on labor ward! How frustrating.

Then again when I went in to be induced with ds a woman came in and she was convinced she was in labor, they said just bh and sent her home, she had a cs before too cus she kept saying her scar hurts

Cupcake92 · 24/09/2015 14:49

It's annoying Ducky as the monitor was picking up my tightenings literally every 7-8 minutes. But doctor examined me and I've not dilated at all and my cervix is still long. So god knows how long till labour properly kicks in :(
I'm still getting pain now, just walked round asda n it was hard lol! Grin

They basically said I'll know if I dilate because I'll have a 'show' and to come back if I see that, but I dilated to 1cm with no show with DS. I never got a show at all until they popped my waters.

Lillamyy1 · 24/09/2015 14:57

Oh no cupcake, how frustrating! How do you feel now? When did you last have a scan? I only ask because when I was induced I was getting immense pressure in my bum even though I hadn't dilated and it turned out it was because DS was back to back AND because I had polyhydramnios (excess fluid)... So if it keeps happening I'd demand a scan to make sure neither of those things are going on in there. Sounds like DS2 is planning to make an appearance soon though! Very exciting!!
Ducky I really hope your DS manages to be a better sleeper soon. It must be very tough for you atm, especially with an unhelpful H Flowers
Ducky I haven't given DS any food yet - I'm waiting until 6 months/when he can sit up straight, whichever comes first, as I want to try BLW, although I think I'll give him a bit of purée too now and again. He doesn't seem to need any solids yet so there is time, although I'm excited at the prospect of starting solids although not so excited about the mess
Nice to see pics of everyone's little ones - and not so little in Cupcake's DS's case! I can't believe he's two and going to nursery now Shock The time has totally flown by!
Here are a couple of pics of my DS now Smile

Omg lil so cute! that one with the bunny is adorable! Ds sat up quite late I think, but he could sit up supported quite easy.

Cupcake I was 3 cm when they broke my waters and I hadn't had a show. With dd I was in hospital a couple of hours before she was born, my waters broke just before she came and I hadn't had a show then either! It must have been with my waters! I would agree, if there's no improvement go back.

zombiemeow · 24/09/2015 15:28

Or purposely give birth in asda, I'm sure you get vouchers for things like that

zombiemeow · 24/09/2015 21:03

How you doing now cupcake?

Cupcake92 · 24/09/2015 21:21

Lill those pics are adorable!
I had a scan yesterday so I know my waters are fine and baby is facing my back tilted slightly to the right side. I've continued to have painful braxton hicks, went out to dinner to see my friend and they hurt then and do now :(

Omg yes Ducky, u get a whole food shop for free or something if ur waters break on asda !!! Grin
I'm still hurting now, gonna see how I go
Tonight. But what can they even do if no dilation is happening? Confused

Cupcake92 · 24/09/2015 21:52

I'm in so much pain tonight I don't care about my GD I'm having a piece of cake!!

zombiemeow · 24/09/2015 21:56

Surely they should be keeping an eye on you because of your history and the pain. I don't think they should be that painful?

Enjoy your cake, you deserve it!

Maybe you can walk round asda to bring labor on Grin

How was ds today?

Cupcake92 · 24/09/2015 22:19

I would have thought they'd be more cautious if I'm having pain because of my csection scar especially. Incase of uterine rupture. N no I don't think I should even be in pain from braxton hicks! But doc today literally said 'yes ur having noticeable tightenings and are painful, but ur not dilating so it's nothing, u can go home'
That was it!

I've eaten my cake and it was amazing Grin

I have a food shop to do on Saturday at asda! Grin fx my waters break haha!

DS was absolutely amazing today. He's been so so good. He even ate dinner at nursery :) and his pudding! He's been a lovely boy to me today.

How's ur DS doing Ducky?

sunny825 · 24/09/2015 22:52

Hi cupcake, ducky and lulu. I just wanted to let you know how many people you help with this thread without even knowing it. I have been reading your thread for months now and i always get an update every few days to see what's going on. I have read all about the miscarriages and the pregnancy tests and it's just refreshing to read real stories.
I am 37 and pregnant with my third baby. I too had a miscarriage last year and it was awful and now we are due end of Dec. I am a couple of months behind you cupcake.
Just wanted to say hang in there ducky I have had two kids that woke up every two hours for about three years but as they got older they got better at sleeping. One of mine has a dairy allergy and one an egg allergy. We were on nutramigen for a couple of years.
I just wanted to say hi and thanks to you ladies.
Love reading about lulu's stories and hope this thread carries on because I'm sure there's many readers out there x

zombiemeow · 25/09/2015 07:50

Sunny that's lovely Grin I had no idea anyone else was reading! Fingers crossed we all have perfectly sleeping dc soon! He's just been moved from neocate back to nutramigen to see if that would help, but last night he slept until 3 am which is the longest he's gone in ages Shock I feel like I can take on the world! So sorry to hear of your miscarriage Thanks you must be due soon too.

Cupcake, do not leave asda until your waters break! Grin that's great news about ds, we all said he'd love it soon. And don't forget if your not happy with your care just go back and refuse to budge.

Bearsinmotion · 25/09/2015 11:28

I have visions of cupcake now with a massive bump trolley ambling round Asda hoping her waters break Grin. Seriously though, hope it happens soon, I hated Braxton Hicks, and being pregnant with a toddler is no fun!

DS is poorly :( He was up from 2:30 till 5:30 this morning. Every time I thought he'd gone off he started crying again. I think he just wore himself out in the end :(. On the plus side, DD has gone for a sleepover tonight so I should get a nap this afternoon and maybe even a lie in tomorrow!

Hi Sunny - strange to think there are people reading this thread that we don't "know". It does feel like we have known each other ages even though we have never met!

By the way cupcake, did you say ages ago you had been to Tamworth Snowdome? Would it be good for a 3.5 year old? Really want to take DD, maybe at Christmas!

sunny825 · 25/09/2015 12:40

Yes ducky I am due end of December and am strangely a bit scared this time round. I know it must be weird bears to think of other people reading your thread but in a strange way u kind of feel I know you guys too . It's nice to read about people going through similar things that you have gone through and are going through.
Ducky my son loved nutramigen which is strange as it tastes absolutely awful, he is older now though and we finally got him off it and onto almond milk which he really likes. There's loads of free from stuff out there which is tasty so it's not as big a deal as it used to be. I really hope your little one grows out of it though as they say most babies grow out of an allergy by the age of 2.

zombiemeow · 25/09/2015 13:25

Oh no bears! What's wrong with him? Hope you get a nap and he feels better soon.

Sunny ds LOVES nutramigen too Blush he drained a whole bottle first time! Then he loved neocate aswell! Think that shocked the dietitian too. We're meant to to be starting the milk ladder but am waiting til he is feeling a little better.

Cupcake92 · 25/09/2015 13:29

Hey thanks sunny! :) that's refreshing to hear! And so strange other people read the thread Grin I forget anyone can actually see it! Gringood luck for the rest of ur pregnancy :)

Ducky that's a great sleep that DS had!! :D bet ur happy! Haha I'll have to lunge around asda to try and get them to break Grin id love a free shop! And on my appointment on the 7th I'm not leaving until they agree an induction at 38 weeks.

Bears if ur thinking of going Xmas time I rele recommend the Snow play/winter wonderland it's great :) I took DS last year, he had only just turned 1! But he loved it! And adults can join In too :p
Hope ur DS feels better quickly! And hope ur DD has a great sleepover! :)

Bearsinmotion · 25/09/2015 14:09

Thanks guys. He just has a cold but he is also teething, so he wants his dummy but then can't breathe through his nose as he is stuffed up, so spits his dummy out and then cries because he wants it back! He is exhausted now because he slept so badly but still can't stay asleep for long :(

That's what I was thinking of cupcake! It's two hours away but DD loved it when it snowed early this year, she keeps talking about it so I think she would love to go to the Snowdome! and I would too

zombiemeow · 25/09/2015 14:18

Ds has a mega cold too Sadas usual

I love the snow dome, I think they put on lots of special things at Halloween & Easter, although I haven't been for years

Cupcake92 · 25/09/2015 16:23

Bears have u tried any snuffle babe? Or a vapour plug in? They were amazing when DS had a blocked nose.
I always go to snowdome every year on Christmas Eve :) it's been the tradition in my family for years! We used to do ice skating or snow tubing but since children have come along we go to the winter wonderland :) it's amazing on Xmas eve, we have hot chocolate and cream in the Starbucks afterwards.

Oh no Ducky not ur DS too :( hope his goes soon!

zombiemeow · 25/09/2015 16:57

Yep, he's only a little bit snotty, mainly a cough and sounds chesty. He had a cold last week though and this is how he usually goes when he's getting over it

Is it really busy on Xmas eve cupcake?

Bearsinmotion · 25/09/2015 17:47

We probably wouldn't do Christmas Eve but it would be that week. It's between that and Peppa Pig World!

Snuffle babe looks good, will look out for it!
