He must be exhausted lulu, hope the work slows down soon so he gets some time with ds, I bet you need a break too.????Wow cupcake that's great that ds is still asleep! He looks so cute Grin both my labours started with period type cramps.

Cupcake92 · 20/09/2015 16:20

Ducky he stayed asleep till 8:30! Not sure why he slept so long! I even managed a shower before he woke up!

I've got a second hand iPad today, tho it's practically brand new! Peace has been restored.
I've also built the next to me crib :)

And rele Ducky? I'm getting them like twice a day where I just feel like I'm about to start my period! And my back is worse.
Hope I go into labour in the next few weeks so i don't have to be induced.

zombiemeow · 20/09/2015 21:00

Wow! How is ds today after his epic sleep? ????Where did you get the I pad from? I really want one but can't afford one I'm still in debt from taking out a credit card to get my mom one when they first came out Blush

Cupcake92 · 20/09/2015 21:23

DS has been very good boy today tbh, and he's eaten all his meals very well.
This just proves if he sleeps he'll be good lol!
(He's still awake now btw....think he had too much sleep!)
How's ur DS doing ducky?

I found the iPad on gumtree £80 it cost!!
So the money I got for my bday disappeared straight away.
I'm in debt from the next to me crib, credit card brought that!Blush

So so so so so ready for this baby to come out!!! Sad feels like he's ready to drop out every time I stand up. And my back is so achy today! :(

zombiemeow · 20/09/2015 22:00

Well my ds had a whole bowl of porridge for breakfast, it's the first time he's done that, he wolfed down his lunch and had a good go at dinner, ate all his dessert and had a bowl of porridge before bed Shock he's been asleep since 6.45 and not had a single wake up! That's not happened in weeks! I'm in shock! I keep checking on him.????Go our ds'!!!????Fingers crossed for a good night.

Lillamyy1 · 20/09/2015 22:41

Hey ladies! Hope you're all well! I've been meanin to catch up for ages again. Sounds like you've both had very good boys lately cupcake and ducky!
Cupcake when is ds2 due again? Isn't it Halloween? If so that's more than a month to go but it sounds like he's very nearly ready from what you've said! Very exciting!!
My DS is now 5 months! I can't believe it!! He's rolling over and trying to crawl.

Cupcake92 · 21/09/2015 05:35

Wow ducky! Well done to ur DS! Grin sounds like he had a good day! Hope he slept well for the rest of the night!
My DS woke at 4:45am! And begged to come downstairs for his milk! Confused

Lill!! Hello! Grin so nice to hear from u! Oh gosh 5 months ready!! :o that's flown by! Hope u are both doing well :) and I'm due 30th October but I'll be being induced at either 38/39 weeks so I've got about 4 weeks left to go! But hoping he decides to come a bit earlier than that! :)

Tho I'm surprised he hasn't already tried to come! I'm supposed to be at risk of early labour! Grin he's stayed put!

zombiemeow · 21/09/2015 06:55

Hey lil! Wow 5 months, that's gone fast. Has he had any food yet? ????Cupcake ds didn't make a peep until 4, I tried feeding to sleep but he was having none of it! I suppose it's an improvement on his recent antics!

zombiemeow · 21/09/2015 09:11

I'm pissed off. H is on the later shift at work, instead of getting up and playing with ds he has decided he needs a 'lie in' whatever one of them is. Ds is now having a nap so by the time h gets up ds will be asleep and when he gets back he will be in bed, so he won't see him at all. And these shifts are going on until after Christmas now. Angry

Cupcake92 · 22/09/2015 07:14

Could t get on mumsnet yesterday only just been able to get on again! Confused said the site was down again.

Ducky that's annoying and that reminds me of a certain ex very much!! He used to do a late shift on a Wednesday he didn't start till 6pm! But he would say he needs to lie in and wouldn't get up till gone 11 sometimes. By then DS was asleep napping then DS would wake up and eat lunch. But wouldn't see his dad long or have time with him as he needed to 'relax' before work in 'peace and quiet' Hmm
I mean when do we ever 'lie in' ? Cuz I don't remember having one of those for a long time!
And ur DS slept well the other night Ducky!

My DS didnt sleep well last night. Was up at 11:30 and then 2:00 and then 5. I think it's cuz he knows he's at nursery again today.

Siarie · 22/09/2015 07:33

Five months here too, in fact dd will be six months in two weeks or so. We are hoping to do baby led weaning here but we will see.

I keep having to remember to check here, I don't come on MN very often.

I can't remember what a lie in is, but can't complain as dd sleeps from 7pm to 6am then feed, change and she usually goes down again until 8:30. But varies depending on teething etc.

Four weeks to go cupcake! Hard to believe your journey is near its end now after the struggle you had at the start.

zombiemeow · 22/09/2015 07:54

That's good sleep siarie! I'm jealous! Grin

Hope nursery goes ok today cupcake.

I couldn't get on either yesterday. We had an awful night here last night. Ds went to sleep at around 6.30 and he was so quiet I kept checking on him, that all stopped around 8.30/9, he woke up and I don't know what time he stayed up til, I went to bed at 11.30 and left h to deal with him as I was exhausted. He must have gone to bed late then was up at 4.30. I ended up on a camp bed in his room but he didn't sleep much until around 6.15 when he slept until 7. I'm aching all over now.

But on a more positive note, he accidentally had something with milk in yesterday and hasn't had a reaction yet. I'm going to ring his dietitian today to see if it's worth starting the milk ladder Smile

Siarie · 22/09/2015 08:35

I'll get a baby who doesn't like to sleep at all next time don't worry!

A camp bed! That's not good, you're going to need a massage!

zombiemeow · 22/09/2015 09:21

I wouldn't wish that on anyone siarie! Shock

My back is killing this morning, the bed wasn't even blown up properly as when I took the pump out all the air kept escaping.

Am waiting for a call back from the Dr again, I'm going to beg them for a referral to a sleep consultant or something.

Bearsinmotion · 22/09/2015 09:51

This is what baby led weaning looks like in our house Siarie! DS loves it, but it is very messy Grin

At the moment he wakes every two hours for a feed so I am exhausted! I am thinking of spoon feeding him as he might eat more that way. At the moment he eats much more at night than during the day so I need to do something before I'm back at work in 8 weeks!

Cupcake92 · 22/09/2015 10:27

Aww such cute pictures of babies siarie and Bears!! Grin

Siarie ur DD sounds like a pro sleeper! I'm hoping DS2 sleeps well seen as DS1 doesn't Grin I can hope but knowing my luck DS2 will be worse!
And yes Siarie only 4 weeks left! It's flown by so fast this pregnancy has. I think at my appointment tomorrow I'll have a date for my induction. Not sure tho.

Get in a hot bath ducky! That'll help ur back! :) bet that'll be exciting to start the milk ladder! :D
Ooo that's a good idea about a sleep consultant! :O I have a visit from the health visitor for DS next week for his 2 year check up and to see how he's developing. (Also because of his behaviour!)
I might ask her about help with sleep?

Oh gosh Bears, every 2 hours still? I bet ur dying for sleep! 8 weeks left of mat leave as well! Have u enjoyed mat leave?
I'm bored now on mine Grin when DS is at nursery all I do is constantly clean all day and I keep unpacking and re-packing my hospital bag Grin

I have my scan tomorrow to check baby's size and then I have to see my consultant and also see the diabetic team. I'm hoping I get a date for my induction so I can prepare and sort DS's childcare out. They are also showing me how to hand express milk tomorrow Confused I've been told I need a supply of colostrum ready to feed baby incase he's rushed to special care if his sugar levels drop. Bit nervous about that tbh Confused

zombiemeow · 22/09/2015 11:56

Bears sounds rough! Are you still ebf? Your blw looks a lot cleaner than mine.

So exciting cupcake! Hope you get your date.... But I hope baby comes before so you can have your water birth i feel like I'm having my water birth through you and I pray that this one is a good sleeper from the start!!! Can you express before giving birth? I didn't think you could? Ds was taken straight to special care, it is scary but they are well looked after in there.

The Dr just called, she said his sleep is v bad for his age. She suggested cc again but I said no, so she has referred me to peadiactric(sp?) Drs for more 'advice and support'. From the way it sounded though they will check him over and suggest cc and then 'support' me through it Hmm will see how it goes

Bearsinmotion · 22/09/2015 12:46

Am doing an experiment today. DS normally feeds himself all meals, but actually eats very little, so today I'm going to give him purées for every meal and see if he sleeps any better. I did Want to do as much BLW as possible but I also need some sleep! He's just had half an Ella's Kitchen pouch thing and is now munching pineapple!

I have really enjoyed mat leave cupcake, although DD and I are starting to wind each other up I think!

Ducky, that sounds so tough. I could never do cc, I can leave them to whimper for a minute or two but no more than that!

zombiemeow · 22/09/2015 13:08

Bears what I do is give him a blw meal then a fruit pot/pouch purée thing for dessert.

I know I'm trying what ever I can to avoid cc.

Cupcake, I was just told hv can refer to sleep therapists after 12mo, might be useful to speak to your hv about ds when she visits and see if she can do anything like that?

Siarie · 22/09/2015 16:05

Bears my blw book said you should keep up the milk feeding between meals. So dd will have all her bottles but food will be just an addition until she starts eating more and dropping her milk feeds naturally.

No idea if it ends up working out like that. ducky I honestly think dd sleeps so well because me and dh are so routine. We go to bed at the same time every night, wake up at the same time, eat lunch the same time. Unknowingly we've kept dd in a routine and I didn't know that's what a lot of the books recommend. I've never rocked her to sleep or anything like that, I soothed her but in other ways as I didn't want to become her comfort.

But until my next I won't know if it's just her personality. She fell asleep during our sensory class this morning Blush

Bearsinmotion · 22/09/2015 18:33

DS is still having his milk feeds, just seems to want them all at night Confused

He seems to be getting really frustrated at the moment though, I don't know if it's because he can't feed himself quickly enough or he is trying to poo!

Siarie · 22/09/2015 20:19

How strange, I'm in for some bizarre activity soon then!

Well hoping for a good night all round :)

Cupcake92 · 22/09/2015 20:25

Ducky I've been told I have to hand express but I'm not allowed to use a pump yet. :s
I hope the paediatric Drs help u more! I'll Deffo talk to my hv about DS's sleep too.

Siarie and bears would u say the blw is successful? I just fed DS with a spoon as I wanted to fill him up as I desperately wanted sleep Grin

DS has been a good boy today :) he seems to be when he's been at nursery! He was excited to go today. He stood waiting at the door ready to go and kept shouting at me to
'Come!' Because apparently I wasn't getting ready quick enough to him! Grin
Will be easier at hospital tomorrow with him being in nursery, it's a long appointment lol!
Deffo going to ask my consultant about the painful braxton hicks I'm having!

Cupcake92 · 23/09/2015 12:22

Well my appt was a waste of time today. I'm having to go back in 2 weeks and then we will talk about the birth. But baby has had a growth spurt and is measuring slightly big now. But they mentioned also maybe going till my due date??? But that seems stupid after saying i can be induced and now saying he's measuring big. I don't get it!

zombiemeow · 23/09/2015 12:46

That's great of ds to do that Grin

That's rubbish about your appointment, I thought if you had gd you had to be induced to stop baby getting too big? I don't really know much about it tho. Did they say much about the bh?
