Here is our new thread everyone.

What a day! DS fell down the stone stairs in the garden. There are only 3 of them but he was hysterical and I could not calm him down and I panicked and took him along to the GPs and then he started being sick. Because he'd bumped and grazed his head and was being sick they sent me up to the hospital with him. DH was in a meeting with his phone off and he forgot to turn it back on.
4 hours later they sent us home - he was sick because he got himself in such a state. By the time we left he was laughing and crawling and eating as usual. He has a scrape on his head and a bump.

DH was really upset he had not been there. I didn't think until afterwards I could have rang SIL- it was one of her days off.

Anyway, he's fine. Him and DH have both got bumped and scraped heads!

Cupcake, you are such a good mum. DS is just being a terribe two. I wouldn't be best pleased with him peeing on the telly mind Little horror. You too Ducky. We all have bad days. I should have had my eye on DS this morning but one second he was on the lawn and I was pegging out washing. Then somehow he had climbed the 3 stairs and fallen down them.
I felt terrible telling DH- as if I had neglected him or something. He was lovely and so reassuring. I think I would just have had a meltdown if he had blamed me. I thought the hospital would report me for neglect.

Ducky because DS is ill atm he wouldn't want to go to dm's n his dad is at work all week due to lack of staff!
That is so good of ur H! Sounds like he's starting to open his eyes :) that's great !

Oh gosh Lulu!! I'm so glad DS is okay after his ordeal! Bless him, children get so many lumps and bumps when they start being mobile. A lot of the time they can't be helped, they can be very fast!

I've been up since 1:30am with DS. He took a bad turn last night. Sounds like he has croup. He woke up with a barking cough and was breathing quite heavily and with difficulty. He was boiling too. I took him downstairs and gave him some water and calpol. He kept pointing to his chest when he coughed and said 'ouch' :( he fell asleep at 4am for an hour and a half.
It's his 1st official day at nursery today but I'm not going to send him, he's too unwell.

I've got someone coming to fix a window and relay the patio slabs today so I think I'll take DS out the way and he can relax in my bed and watch some CBeebies in bed.
Good news is even tho I've not slept I feel better now don't feel so bunged up anymore ! Must be all that Olbas oil!

Oh no lulu! Glad ds is better now! How scary for you. Both dh and ds getting injured in the garden in a few days! What did they do at the hospital? Just monitor him?

What is croup cupcake? Poor ds, me and ds have both woke up with stinking colds too. He slept a bit better last night, still quite a few wake ups but he didn't stay awake he fell asleep once he had his dummy

It affects the respiratory system ducky. It's inflammatory of the respiratory system or something and when they cough it sounds like they are barking. Or like a seal noise.
DS had it when he was about 6 months old and I woke up in the night to check on him and he wasn't breathing properly at all had to call an ambulance and he had some medicine at hospital which opened up his wind pipe. Was so scary. But apparently it's worse when they are babies. So he's not to bad now.
Oh no poor u and DS :( the colds are getting round!

Hope the DS's are feeling better soon! I am currently sitting in the car outside my house with 2 sleeping DC! We went to the fun fair last night and DD was up till 10 !

10 weeks till I go back to work. I love my job but I have really enjoyed mat leave this time around . At least I am on a 4 day week for the first year.

In other news I have a mini AIBU for you guys too scared to post on the main AIBU. I bought an Ergo for DS last year, but last week the clip broke. It was still under guarantee so I took it back to the shop. Unfortunately that model was discontinued so they couldn't do a straight swap, instead I said I'd like a more expensive one and I'd pay the difference. So I ordered the new one, and was given a gift voucher for the value of the old one. But when I collected the new one they said I had already paid for it. I haven't, I know I haven't but they said I must have done .

So now I have a brand new Ergo plus a gift voucher for >£100!! AIBU to just give the gift card to DSis for Christmas keep it or should I try and pay for the new one?!

Sounds scary cupcake! Hope he has some rest today.

Bears, that's gone so quick. Have you sorted child care and everything? and I would totally keep the voucher but I am a bad person

Currently wrestling with a very tired ds to get him to nap. He's winning so far. I have no idea where he gets his energy from, he's hardly slept at all today. If I put him down he screams cus he's to tired but I pick him up and he battles with me

Childcare was sorted before DS was even born ducky

DS has just been feeding himself mango for his tea. Then he threw it all back up and is now furious because I won't let him have any more

Have just received the contracts for our new house to sign. Seller had already signed his. Looks like it is really happening!

Oh yes I forgot! Has he had settling in days or anything?

I'm so angry. I got ds some organix rice cakes earlier and gave him one. It doesn't mention on their pack that they may contain milk. Almost immediately he started having stomach ache and explosive poos and his eczema has flared right up. I eventually found their allergy info on their website and it's made in a factory that handles milk. Poor ds has been crying in pain all afternoon

Bears id so keep the gift voucher lol
I want a nice sling/wrap but can't rele afford one so going to hire one from a local sling library :) I think it's like ??30 for 3 months or ??20 or something.

Ducky, could we swap DS's for a day? Lol mines been awful. He's so naughty it's unreal! I'm not sure if it's cuz he's poorly or what but my god he's been so evil!
He's deffo going to nursery tomorrow I so need a break. He's only there till 12:30 and I have a physio appt but hey! Still peace and quiet to me

I've been that fed up and feeling so crappy about myself recently , I just ate a dominio pizza and cookies.... Yes my blood sugars will probably be sky high but I don't care! I needed a treat and it's only the first time my sugars have gone high so they better let me off for it

Oh ducky, sorry to hear that . DNephew is allergic to egg and DSis has to be so careful - he has reacted when she put sun cream on after having a cake.

The Ergo 360 is great cupcake, I wasn't that impressed with the original but the new one is much better! Also worth thinking about buying one on eBay and reselling?

I would like to think I would not keep the gift voucher Bears but I would Give it to your sister. Exciting to be moving house. Your new one sounded lovely.

DS is fine. Scrape but the bump is already going down. He is fine. They just examined him and kept an eye on him Ducky. I have put some arnica on the bump. My mum used to swear by it.

And my DS is feeling better thank u, still sounds groggy when he's woken up from sleeping but fine once he's awake now.

He's been in bed since 9pm tonight. I'm exhausted. I've not slept since 1:30am this morning!! so I'm gonna get to sleep before DS decides to wake up! Up early to take him to nursery at 8am!

I am tucked up in bed by myself about to go to sleep. Night night.

DS is up again coughing rele bad and it's affecting breathing again. I don't get it! He's fine in the day, nothing wrong with him and acting like a healthy child but at night he sounds awful! And then it's confuses me whether to send him to nursery!

Ds has problems with breathing when he gets a cold cupcake, it definitely gets worse at night, don't know why. He sounds bad in the morning too then gets better during the day. Hopefully your both feeling a bit better today.

I sent them a complaint, they have read it but not responded. Luckily he only had a little bit!

Ducky that's exactly like my DS. I wonder why our DS's are so similar?
Now... He's fine sat drinking his milk all happy like he's not poorly! I'm taking him to nursery at half 8. See how he goes. As I say he's only there till 12:30.

I'm so proud today!!!!! :) took DS to nursery, he was all shy and attached to my leg when we went in but a nursery nurse came up and said to him what they will be doing today and asked him if he wanted to come with her to get some toast. He went straight to her and cuddled her and I said bye and he went off with the women! No tears at all!! :D when I picked him up he had eaten all his toast and even ate some of his lunch! He never cried when I picked him up either! And even waved and said bye to them! :O I'm so happy! He did so well today :) hope he's the same tomorrow!

My oven packed up and has stopped working! :( getting it fixed by the end of the week. So I got this large cottage pie ready meal, it was like a family sized one.
I didn't expect DS to eat any of it tbh but omg he ate the lot!! He's done so well today so I'm very happy with him :)

I got given a special belt by my physio today! Omg the difference when I walk is absolutely amazing!! wish they'd given it to me ages ago!!

Sounds like it's been a good day all round for you cupcake! Yay for ds! I bet he'll be looking forward to going there soon.

There's a thread asking for testers for the new app, you have to add your e mail address to the form on there and they send you an invite to download it, I don't think you can just download it off the App Store yet.

I have never stopped. We went along to the nursery for the play group. DS does not get playing nicely. He was not shy but kept getting his eye on things and taking them- not nastily but just because he wanted them. Then he got waily if I took them and gave them back- trembly bottom lip. But he mixed in.

He had a sleep later and I cleaned the house downstairs.
Then I have done some work for DH analysing a council policy to make sure his matches it for his school- so he could spend time with DS. DS is having a bath- I can hear him and DH laughing.

Ducky, honestly, teachers work for hours and hours at home. I have done nearly 2 hours for him tonight.

We are having mushroom and cheese crepes for tea with green salad and I made a tarte tatin. I bet he does another couple of hours work afterwards. And he is at a governors meeting tomorrow night until 9 pm so Ds won't see him.

Yeah Ducky, it has like a big back piece then these thick Velcro straps and they all go under the belly. It's incredible how much back support u get from it! I'm only allowed to wear it if I'm going out for a long period, like walking round town, or doing a food shop etc, I'm not allowed to sit or lie in it or wear it a lot.

Ah I see so hopefully if they have some good feedback everyone will be able to download it soon :)

Glad DS had a good play at the playgroup! :) it's a good idea they do the playgroup.
And that dinner ur having sounds absolutely delicious!

DS has been asleep since 7:30pm I'm hoping he's going to have a better night tonight. He's not coughed so far!
