Lilla, I don't know how you do it- up 4 x a night. I would be a zombie. You must have real resilience.

X post!

Hope you feel better soon lulu. I hate it when h asks if I'm ok Hmm luckily it's got a lot cooler here now. I read the only way to make hair loss better is to cut it short, did you say you had a pixie cut? Or did I make that up?

I'm so tired, just went to go to bed and remembered I hadn't done the sterilising! Doh!

Cupcake92 · 23/08/2015 22:45

Wow lots of comments goin on woo! Grin

Haha lill don't worry I know what u mean! I'm going to mention the amount of fluid to them tomorrow as with DS I ended up having TONS! Like a lot, as in it leaked all the way through the bed and onto the floor. Grin
Just anxious to see what they say tomorrow could all determine when the baby might come.
Glad ur DS is sleeping better!! :)

Lulu I'm glad the BBQ was a success! Grin well done to ur DH for avoid any injuries :)

Ducky, I also had my hair cut short because of my hair loss after DS. But I hated it short. It takes me forever to grow it back n it never goes past my shoulders! I always end up getting extensions. I need to get some more tbh.

Gosh I'm so tired. Half asleep writing this! DS has been asked half hour now. Hope he sleeps through but I'm not keeping my hopes up!

Lillamyy1 · 23/08/2015 22:49

Oh Lulu I didn't read the bit about you not feeling too good? Flowers
I'm kind of used to having very broken sleep. I'm not use up for long - between 20 and 45 mins on average, although if he wakes up around 4:30 or 5 he doesn't usually go back to sleep until 7 or 8. But jf the time DP is home so he takes DS downstairs and I get another hour or two. The thing is, I'm not sure how well I'd cope going back to work if he's still waking as much by then. I might have to look for a job that's just a couple of afternoons a week at first.

LuluJakey1 · 24/08/2015 08:22

Good luck with your scan Cupcake. Hope it is all good.

Lill I can imagine work would be hard if u hadn't had much sleep. How long left of mat leave have u got?

Well DS was awake by 2:30am I knew he'd have a bad night tho.

Thanks Lulu, it's at 12 so not long till I will have to go. Need to make a pack up for DS tho as its bang on lunch time.

Baby has been moving like mad this morning and changing positions! I hope he's not moved into an awkward one! Confused

zombiemeow · 24/08/2015 09:24

My hair is like that cupcake, it gets to a point and just stops growing. Best of luck for your scan todaySmile

Lil I wouldn't cope with work the way ds is but might have no choice soon Hmm my mat leave has now officially ended!

How you feeling today lulu?

Ds was amazing last night Shock he fell asleep around 6ish so I was expecting a bad night, he woke for a bottle at 5.30 then slept til 7.15 Shock bet it's just a one off!

Bearsinmotion · 24/08/2015 13:20

My DS wakes up 3-4 times a night too! Luckily he does go straight back to sleep usually, but I don't! We have just started trying him with food. He keeps pinching my toast so we thought he was probably ready! For lunch today he had a fruit medley, yesterday he had boiled rice, which he seems to like! Am hoping to get him straight to solids without bothering with the purée stage!

My hair is falling out too :( DP needs to clear it all from the shower drain!

Our house sale is still progressing slowly. The vendor has been threatening to pull out if we don't exchange this week but a) most of the hold ups are from his side and b) we can't complete until October anyway (again his side). Confused Our solicitor thinks he is bluffing, but it's really adding to the stress!

zombiemeow · 25/08/2015 14:21

I haven't been able to get on again for ages!

Hows ds doing with his food bears? How frustration about the houseConfused I hope it finalises quickly.

Cupcake how did it go?

Cupcake92 · 25/08/2015 15:24

Omg!!! Finally!!! I can get on!!
How I've missed mumsnet lol!!

Scan was perfect! :) he is right on target for growth and no concerns at all! He's in the right position too!! Head down and back to my belly :) he weighs 3.4lb atm!! Woohoo!!

zombiemeow · 25/08/2015 16:36

Yaaaayyyyyyy GrinGrin that's good to hear! What did they say about induction? Does that mean you can go naturally now?

Cupcake92 · 25/08/2015 17:01

Yeah it means my chance of a csection have dropped again! :)
I'll be checked at 37 weeks to see if I'm dilated at all, If I am I can be induced at 38/39 weeks.
I was 1cm by 37/38 with DS so hoping for the same this time.
But yes I can go naturally. If my blood sugars are kept down I can be treated like a normal pregnant woman

Cupcake92 · 25/08/2015 21:59

DS ain't doing well tonight :( he never napped and went to his nursery taster session for 2 hours all by himself! And he cried the whole time :( :( he was so upset when I came to pick him up it was awful!
He's been that exhausted he went to bed at 7:15pm but he's woken up twice since then crying.
Obviously he's had a different day and first time he's been left in a nursery so hopefully tonight is just because of that.

He's with his dad tomorrow morning till after lunch. I have a hospital appt to see the diabetic nurse to check over my blood sugar readings and to see if I need meds or not.
I've managed to keep them down so i shouldn't need any meds tho :)

zombiemeow · 25/08/2015 22:02

Oh no cupcake Confused it's probably just the change of routine. I'm sure once he gets used to it he will really enjoy it.

Ds hasn't napped today either apart from a short one this morning. We went to one of his play groups that really really wore him out he could barely keep his eyes open but just wouldn't sleep Confused he's been in bed since around 6.15 and has woke up once

Cupcake92 · 25/08/2015 22:12

I'm hoping so Ducky! Because I'm dreading dropping him off on Friday Grin he's there all morning and for lunch!

Aww bless him! That's good :) he seems to be sleeping a bit better for u. Hope it continues! :)

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2015 06:53

Well I was very wrong!
DS never woke up again and slept in till 6am in his own room. Not once did he have to sleep in my bed.

zombiemeow · 26/08/2015 07:34

That's great cupcake! Ds slept until 5.30! Grin Which is good considering how early he went to bed Grin

Going to try again today to get a Drs appt, don't know if they will be able to do anything though Hmm I already started taking vitamins which has slowed it down a little.

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2015 08:24

I think our DS's are slowly getting the hang of how to sleep! Grin
Oh yes I was going to ask if ud seen the Dr yet. What vitamins are u taking?

zombiemeow · 26/08/2015 11:33

Still not in Hmm

I'm taking pregnecareBlush i remember reading online after I had dd someone saying about hair loss after giving birth so they took them and it made it better. It's definitely slowed a bit but it's still coming out and looking very thin Confused

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2015 15:43

Oh I see! Oo I might carry on taking mine then after DS2 is born. Hopefully then my hair loss won't be as bad. Confused

Saw my new doctor today and I'm rele pissed off. He's said I'm not allowed my water birth :( whereas my old doc said I could as I can still be monitored continuously as they have a special monitor. But he said today 'no' said it's too risky incase my uterus ruptures.
I'm so disappointed as this is all I want :( he even wrote it in my notes not to allow me a water birth.

I think when I go into labour and I call up I'm still gonna mention the pool and ask if it's free. There's a pool in the consultant led area for a reason!

zombiemeow · 26/08/2015 18:38

Cupcake ask someone else. I had this problem. One consultant said no and wrote it in my notes, the other one said it was best not to because of monitoring, every midwife completely disagreed and said they had under water monitors, even if they needed to I could get out for longer monitoring then get back in. But obviously I ended up on drip so couldn't move Hmm just remember it's your birth, they can make recommendations but ultimately the decision is up to you. Just get all the information you need then make the decision that's right for you and your baby Smile

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2015 19:24

Yes that's what my old doc said they had! Under water monitors! :)
Yeah ur right I think I'll also mention it to my midwife and the diabetic nurse I see.
I'm still going to write it on my birth plan too

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2015 23:09

I jinxed it.
DS has only just gone to sleep.
What a long night!!

zombiemeow · 27/08/2015 08:08

Me too cupcake Hmm ds had an awful night, almost every half hour wake ups. He was just on his hands and knees each time rocking backwards and forwards then banging his head Hmm so so tired

Cupcake92 · 27/08/2015 10:57

Oh no ducky :(
I was the same DS was awake nearly every hour. I'm not sure why he was like that last night. Hopefully we will all have a better night tonight!! :)

Don't think I'll be watching eastenders for a while :/ just heard the story line they are doing.
