Lulu that sounds lovely! What a peaceful day!! :) I've been cleaning and sorting the washing out today and also had to look after my brother!

I've been up for the last hour in a bit of pain :( I'm rele not sure whether I should call up the hospital or not? I have like a bad stomach ache but its calms down then comes back. My stomach isn't tightening when it happens tho so can't be contractions?
I'm 28 weeks on Friday. I was 32 when i went into early labour with DS so I get a bit worried Confused

zombiemeow · 05/08/2015 07:07

Oh cupcake please get checked out just incase. How are you feeling now,

I have been crap at posting recently. Ds has stopped sleeping in the day or night so I have to watch him like a hawk, then once he is in bed I have to try and get the house work done Confused

Have his dietitian today, am hoping she will help Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2015 07:54

I would ring up the maternity ward and see what they say Cupcake. Better to be on the safe side.

Hope you get something sorted with DS Ducky. You seem to have a hard time with his sleeping and it must worry you, especially when you think he is in pain.

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2015 08:16

Oh Ducky :( my DS isn't sleeping now either. He was in my bed again last night.
I hope the dietitian can help u today! Let us know!
And I don't feel too well atm, I managed to sleep for an hour before DS got up, but I feel ill now and under the weather. Just feel a bit weak and tired.

Lulu I did call them, they said I can come in and be monitored for an hour if I'm concerned but said if I'm not having tightenings that are regular then it's fine. And they said the fact I don't have any pain now is good and it probably wasn't anything to worry about. I said I couldn't rele go in as no one to have DS so she said I'll be okay just to rest for today and have a duvet day with DS or something. So I'm gonna do that.

zombiemeow · 05/08/2015 08:34

I'm not even sure if he is in pain anymore lulu Hmm I read night terrors can start at this age so maybe it's that I just don't know Sad

Can you take him with you cupcake? Take something to keep him entertained? What kind of pain was it? Like sharp or not? Could it have been to do with your spd? ( my phone auto corrected that to sod then auto corrected to std Blush)

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2015 09:04

Cupcake, I am not being funny but could it have been wind? I had pain from wind which would get quite bad and then settle and then start again and move round a bit until it 'escaped'. Blush

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2015 13:53

Well baby moved at lunch time, made a big wiggle and suddenly I had no pain at all. So I think it must have been how he was lying! What could he have been lying on tho??

Haha Ducky! Auto correct is a pain! It usually auto corrects ur name to 'sucky' !! Grin
How did the dietitian go?

zombiemeow · 05/08/2015 13:59

Ds has been put on a trial of the more sensitive milk Sad he is currently having around 43 oz a day and she wants me to get it to 20oz asap Blush she said he needs to be eating more within 4 weeks or it will be very difficult weaning him properly. She booked me another appt in 6 weeks instead of 12 to see how he's getting on.

Hopefully it will help his sleeping and he starts eating bloody soon!

Glad your feeling better now cupcake Smile

Lillamyy1 · 05/08/2015 18:37

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been about much! The only time I get to have a proper catch up on the thread is when I'm feeding DS in the night and I'm usually so sleepy I can't concentrate on posting!
How is everyone getting on?
DS is still suffering from sleep regression - the last couple of nights he's had me up about six times Confused I'm exhausted at the moment Sad
Apart from that everything is good here. I've been super busy with mum and baby groups, family birthdays etc!

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2015 18:47

Gosh that's a big drop in milk isn't it Ducky? Tho drinking less milk may make him want more food. I hope it all works for u both! And DS starts sleeping better! :)

I don't think many people are gettin much sleep Lill! There needs to be a magic blanket or something that makes children fall fast asleep and all night! :)

zombiemeow · 05/08/2015 21:51

Oh no lil Confused your ds doesn't suffer with sleeping like mine has.

I know cupcake. Really hope it helps. We've already had 2 wake ups so far Sad

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2015 22:03

Ducky, DS has between 18-21 oz milk a day plus his meals. He has cereal at breakfast, sometimes toast to suck on Grin, some sort of veg thing at lunchtime- pureed carrots and sweet potato or something like that - then fruit and at tea time he has casserole- chicken and veg or a bit of what we are having pureed, followed by porridge and milk at bedtime. He has milk when he wakes up in the morning and usually about 3pm.

Some days he has less milk.

Today he has eaten stewed plums and strawberries- bet we have nice nappies tomorrow. And he has a tooth that is through properly now!

He has been very whingey and in limpet mode today. I think that is his teeth. I had him on my knee just cuddled in while I finished fence painting because he would not even have DH this morning.

Glad the pain has gone Cupcake. Smile

Lill, you must be exhausted. Brew

zombiemeow · 05/08/2015 22:31

Lulu how do you work the porridge in? I think something like that would help ds but he usually falls asleep on his last bottle.

How many bottles does he have a day?

Ds has 6, but I'm planning on working it down to 3 by reducing every other one a little bit until I can completely drop it

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2015 22:40

Ducky give him porridge before his last bottle. Then give him a bottle after. Ull find he'll not want as much milk, then u will slowly be cutting it down :)
I used to give DS porridge, then I'd wash him and put him in pjs then he'd have a bottle and go to bed.
Oh no bless him :( and u! I know how exhausting it is constantly getting up to them through the night. I sit here sometimes and think 'just please sleep just one night at least!' U end up just begging for a good nights sleep.
DS has only just gone to bed, but there's an idiot next door who thinks it's appropriate to nip out for 5 mins in his van every 15 mins!! And his van is rele loud!! He has a car but for some reason has to use his van!

Lulu I had decided earlier that the sea breeze where u live is the cure to babies sleep problems! So I think I'm going to come and live with u :) Grin

I see the midwife tomorrow at 9am, going to mention these awful braxton hicks to her. And maybe mention my anxiety to her seen as it's coming up to the point where I went into early labour. As I do feel quite worried now. Feels so long since I saw her last! I think I was 14 weeks when I last saw her! She was on holiday at my 24 week appt!

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2015 23:12

Exactly what Cupcake said Ducky.Porridge, then give him half an hour then bottle when he is ready for bed.

I have just been really upset. DH was at the pub (without his keys) and I got locked in our bedroom -because the decorator had taken the outside door handle off and I shut the door- and Ds started to cry in his room. I got really anxious and panicky. Fortunately, DH talked me through - on the phone as he ran home from the pub- a DIY escape using his christmas cracker screwdriver kit and his KING DICK adjustable spanner which was in his bedside drawer to remove the door handle.

I do love him and I will never laugh at his christmas cracker screwdriver kit and King Dick adjustable spanner again.

You are very welcome Cupcake - DS has whinged all day and just settled properly now Smile But I do think sea air or country air helps you sleep.

I saw this the other day and loved it.

Haha I like that quote Lulu :)
Oh gosh! I think I would have broken down in such a panic if that happened! Well done Lulu for getting that door open!

So DS woke at 3:30am this morning! It's an improvement from 1am but it's still not all night!
Have a mad dash this morning to get all ready and drop DS off and then see my midwife, then rush to work!

zombiemeow · 06/08/2015 07:51

Oh no lulu I would of broke down! Well done on escaping, hope it didn't take long.

Cupcake hope she can give you some answers at your appt.

Ds had quite a bit less milk yesterday and had a much better go with his breakfast. He just had a slice of buttered toast but he ate half of it Smile fingers crossed he starts eating now! The dietitian has me really worried incAse he isn't eating in the next few weeks Sad

LuluJakey1 · 06/08/2015 08:42

I was crying down the phone to DH. He left the pub and started to run home - about half a mile- telling me what to do while he was running. If it had not worked he would have had to wade through 30ft of undergrowth in the dark- brambles, honeysuckle etc- on the bridleway climb the fence at the back, somehow get up on the roof of the extension(about 12 ft off the ground) and climb in our bedroom window. Then we would both have been stuck in the bedroom. [grin Anyway, all's well that ends well.

I am sitting in the garden while DS has his breakfast. He has had cereal and half a banana. Is having his milk now and is all cuddly.

DH is still asleep. He has 25 mins before decorator arrives to get up and shower.

Hope the midwife goes ok Cupcake and you are reassured.

Keep feeding DS Ducky. Try him with porridge in the mornings too. DS loves it. Have you tried him with avocado and melon? DS loves those too, and strawberries.

We are going to SIL's for BBQ later if the weather stays nice. It is sunny and blue skies so far.

OP posts:
zombiemeow · 06/08/2015 09:45

I will try them lulu Grin I looked at the porridge but was a bit unsure of the ingredients, sometimes they sneak milk in under other names, I have a little book that tells me all the words they use for milk and I always forget to take it shopping!

Cupcake92 · 06/08/2015 12:06

Mentioned my braxton hicks and midwife said I just need to call the pregnancy assessment unit anytime I'm worried. She said see if they are still regular today and tonight and call tomorrow morning if
They are. She said they can do me a
Test that will tell me if I could go into early labour, she said that would help to see if my increase in braxton hicks are anything to worry about. So gonna call in the morning and possibly go in.
Had my anti D injection and it never stung!!!! Woohoo!! Grin
Tho she couldn't find a vein for my bloods so having them done at hospital if I go in tomorrow Grin

Ducky just keep trying DS with lots of different stuff throughout the day :) try little and often.

Oo hope the BBQ is nice Lulu! I'd love a good BBQ right now!

LuluJakey1 · 06/08/2015 17:52

That sounds reassuring Cupcake.

This is what DH is doing at the moment Smile

Yeah just hope I don't go into early labour this time. It was scary with DS, having doctors tell me I'll be lucky if he stays in another day and asking if I wanted to look round the neonatal unit. I hope this one stays and cooks till at least 35 weeks!

I had 6 braxton hicks in an hour today!!!!6!! 1st time I've sat and properly counted them. That's a lot! I'm having one right now as I type this haha Grin
Will let u know what they say when I call in the morning

Lulu that food behind those beers looks so so so so so so tasty!!!

zombiemeow · 07/08/2015 09:23

That looks delicious lulu! Were you and ds there too?

Cupcake how are you today? Definitely go and get checked. I used to get v regular braxton hicks but I was told I had an irritable uterus my uterus wasn't the only irritable one they said with that there is a chance of pre term labor and they just kept an eye on it. Ds didn't want to come out in the end though!

zombiemeow · 07/08/2015 09:24

I went to bed last night at 8! I was so tired I felt physically sick and couldn't keep my eyes open. H managed to get ds to sleep! Shock he may almost be worthy of a d I did the sterilising and then went to bed. ds still woke up around 6/7 times but I feel better for getting the extra sleep
