I've been told I do too much in a day and I'm not resting enough! And Ducky they also mentioned irritable uterus to me too. They said I need to rest more, (easier said than done with a 2yr old!) and she said I should notice I don't get them as often if i rest a lot more. She said if I get any pain or they become as regular as they did yesterday to come back in and I'll be monitored and they will do a ffn test. Which is the preterm labour test.
I'm measuring 1 week ahead as well! Lol!

zombiemeow · 07/08/2015 12:40

What's an ffn test?

Yea I remember they told me that it's worse if you over do it.

Do you know the weight at the mo cupcake?

Cupcake92 · 07/08/2015 14:39

Omg Ducky I completely missed that post of H putting DS to sleep!!!!!!! Shock well done H!!!

Apparently it's a swab they do of the cervix Confused and there's a protein that is present when ur close to going into labour. So the test sees if that protein is present, if it is then ur chances of going into labour early have increased a lot.
I've no idea on the weight Ducky. I'll only know if I have a scan, my next scan isn't till 6th October Grin

LuluJakey1 · 07/08/2015 16:51

Ooh your H is coming along Ducky! Are you getting on better too?
Yes Ds and I were there. DS ate some grilled halloumi cheese which we diced. He had it with avocado and sliced grilled peppers and half a sausage. Not sure if he should have had that but he scoffed it.

I was not drinking Brown Ale Grin . I had some cider.

We had a lovely time and walked home about 11 with DS asleep in his buggy. It was still really warm and we were just so relaxed. I love having SIL so near. They are so nice and I have never had family around like this.

DH was all romantic Grin and he didn't fall asleep on me for once.

Today has been freezing up here. It started off nice but has ended up really cold. DS is not allowed in the garden and we have had lots of wailing and window licking and handprints all over them as he has tried to escape. DH has distracted him with a pile of things and he is currently fascinated by a oven glove, a fake fur hat and a set of plastic measuring spoons. Hmm
We are having homemade vegetable soup and cheese scones for tea.

Cupcake, would your ex not have DS for a day so you could put your feet up? You sould be able to have a day off and relax.

Could your H not do a whole night Ducky so you could sleep? It sounds like he might be up for it.

Sounds like u had a nice night Lulu :)
Oo I love homemade veg soup! Used to make it for me and DS all the time when I was weaning him, also used to make broccoli soup (meant to be made with Stilton but had to substitute with cheddar!) used to love it!!!

DS is fast asleep as my mom took him out today and apparently he walked everywhere and played so much so he's exhausted tonight :)
N yes Lulu he's got him an extra day next week as its his bday so will have a day off next week to do nothing!!! Yay!!! Grin

Anybody know when baby is meant to drop? It's rele u comfortable atm as he's so high up and when I get a braxton hick it rele affects my breathing :/

zombiemeow · 07/08/2015 21:11

Sounds lovely lulu Grin bet she loves seeing ds too!

Cupcake I have no idea but I think second babies drop earlier? Or maybe I made that up Confused

LuluJakey1 · 07/08/2015 21:44

That sounds like you might get a good night's sleep tonight Cupcake, as well as a day off next week. I can't believe he is 2 already, he was about 8 months when I first came on this thread.

PIL are back from hols and DH told MIL the saga of his appendix. She wasn't unduly sympathetic which he is quite miffed about. She was more interested in how DS is doing. We are going down there at the end of next week for a week. It is the wedding and DH can go to 3 Bradford City matches in a week.

He is so excited. I heard him talking to one of his friends on the phone and telling them we were coming down 'and bringing the youth' (DS) Hmm and then talking about how he and SIL are 'Bantams living in exile in the North-East'. Honestly!

DS is still awake, on DH's knee cuddled in, having his milk while we have been watching 'Would I Lie to You'. DH always reminds me of a younger version of Lee Mack. There is a similarity somehow and the same humour.

Ducky, SIL and BIL (might as well start calling him that) both love DS. I will be amazed if they don't have a baby pretty soon. In the meantime we are happy for them to practice looking after DS.

Cupcake, DS did not drop until I was about 38 weeks if I remember rightly but I think Ducky is right and they can drop a little earlier in second births.

Cupcake92 · 08/08/2015 16:02

Sounds like I may be waiting a while till he drops then! But hopefully like u both say he'll drop a bit earlier this time. Be nice if he's dropped and in position by my next midwife appt at 34 weeks.

Lulu I know, it shows how long we've all been talking doesn't it! And we'll DS woke at 3:30am and I was in and out of sleep all night!

Cupcake92 · 08/08/2015 20:49

Hope everyone is well :)

Ducky how is DS's milk and food going?

I'm so tired tonight! DS is still awake he's full of beans tonight and no sign of him falling to sleep! TV is very rubbish also tonight, there's not a lot on to watch.
Is it rele hot where everyone else is? It's boiling here today! I've done 2 loads of washing and both have dried within the hour outside!

Cupcake92 · 09/08/2015 15:30

Hope everyone is okay? Confused
Nobody's spoke for 2 days

zombiemeow · 09/08/2015 15:43

How strange! I thought no one had commented it didn't show me yours cupcake!

Ds has started his milk today Hmm will see how it goes, it takes up to 14 days for it to make a difference though. He's been very upset today with constipation though Confused (before he stared his milk) and we had a very bad night last night.

Have you had any more tightenings or pain cupcake?

Cupcake92 · 09/08/2015 20:20

Aw I do hope this milk helps Ducky Flowers poor DS. I've also had a bad night with DS too. And it says on the weather there's going to be thunder on Monday night :( that's what scared DS last time n he never wanted to go in his room.
N yes I keep having the tightenings all day long, I'm just keeping an eye on them, if I have 6 in an hour again I have to go in to be monitored but so far I've not had that again yet. They hurt a little bit but it's more
Of an ache. I think my stomach muscles are worn out lol. If they carry on Being this much will call again end of the week to see if there's anything they can do to stop all these braxton hicks. They take all my energy away! Grin

I've got my 28 week blood tests on Tuesday morning, followed by a whooping cough jab, then I have my 1st physio appt after that!!
It's going to be a long day Tuesday!
Ironically that's the day DS is at his dad's for the extra day as it was only one he could get off work. No rest for me but at least I can do everything without DS getting bored etc :)

zombiemeow · 09/08/2015 20:28

Hope you have a better night tonight. I bet your exhausted!

Looks like we're having another bad one Sad ds is up for the third time and not settling.

Am on a downer atm, he's so tired cus he wouldn't nap today but I just can't get him to sleep.

I think I will end up doing cc which I REALLY don't want to do Sad

Cupcake92 · 09/08/2015 20:52

Oh no :( do what u thinks best Ducky, u don't want to get urself all worked up and upset too. I found when I tried cc with DS is just made me upset and I sat in my room listening to him screaming, it was awful, n I've not tried it since.
I know how much hard work it is Ducky, n how exhausted n tired u must be, wanting some peace and quiet! I keep saying that it'll get better as he gets older and he understands what bedtime is and that its for going to bed and falling asleep. I'm not sure how old he'll be tho when he gets this! Grin
Don't give up Ducky, instead use the time for lots of cuddles and kisses and think u won't get to cuddle him so much when he's older as they end up hating mummy cuddles lol! So make the most of cuddling him :) he may calm down then.

My DS isn't even asleep yet!

zombiemeow · 09/08/2015 20:56

That's the problem I think cc would give me a break down HmmI'm just so exhausted. He gets grumpy too cus he doesn't sleep. He just wants to crawl all the time Confused he had a purée pot thing before bed too so I had high hopes for tonight Hmm

Cupcake92 · 09/08/2015 22:23

Baby has been moving like mad!!! I'm not sure if he's turning? But I'm in so much pain! Like a stitch but constant, been like this 10 mins now.

I'm lay down but it's not helped :s

zombiemeow · 09/08/2015 22:48

Ooohh I used to get that and it always seemed to be as I got into bed! I think it's just them stretching and getting comfy Smile

Cupcake92 · 09/08/2015 22:50

Feels like he's done a 360 flip! Lol! Grin
So so painful! The amount of moving he was doing was unreal.

Cupcake92 · 09/08/2015 23:32

Think I may have to call the pregnancy assessment unit up as the pain is getting a lot worse and hasn't gone away. It's worrying me a bit, I'm in tears I hurt so much Confused

zombiemeow · 10/08/2015 06:10

Omg cupcake are you ok?did you call?

You should definitely call if you are at all worried

Cupcake92 · 10/08/2015 06:34

Yep I called lol. I've been up all night now. Thankfully DS stayed asleep in his pram so he's had a whole nights sleep haha.

Everything's okay, they said he was lay against my csection scar and it was causing me pain. Baby is okay tho and everything else is fine. When he finally moved a bit and adjusted himself the pain eased off.

I hate all these pains! I get so so worried now because of my experience with DS of early labour I keep thinking it's going to happen again. Confused I hope I never get any more pains till about 35 weeks now Grin I'll be less worried when I'm 35 weeks!

zombiemeow · 10/08/2015 08:10

Agh that's good cupcake! Did you go in with ds? Let's hope this one isn't making any escape attempts any time soon!

Cupcake92 · 10/08/2015 17:35

Yeah I did but he just slept which was good!

And I hope not! Need him to stay put for a bit longer !

It's boiling today, very humid and sticky. It's awful

zombiemeow · 10/08/2015 18:58

That's good Grin

It's been very warm here too!

The dietitian told me 50% of babies will flat out refuse this new milk and you have to put all flavours in and stuff, ds guzzled it right from the start Blush

Cupcake92 · 10/08/2015 20:08

Oh wow Ducky that's good! Well done DS :) he's not a fussy eater then Grin

Did Lulu say her SIL wedding was yesterday?
