Well well I check back and expect Cupcake to have popped. How long do you have left now Cupcake?

DD is 4 months soon, can't believe how quickly it has gone :D

Cupcake92 · 29/07/2015 17:43

He's alright now Ducky, He's getting a bit better. His behaviour is still bad but not as bad. Lol! His sleep is still hard but he's sleeping in his own bed so that's great!
How's ur DS been feeling?

Hi siarie!! Gosh 4 months already!!! Shock
I'm not due till October tho Grin just need to get through August and September! Yay!

LuluJakey1 · 29/07/2015 19:53

DS has absolutely worn himself out today. He is in bed! He has been to baby soft play again and to his first tea party. All the children were between 6 months and 12 months at the party and he loved it. He played with them all- there were only 8 of them, including him. He was really sociable but very tired when we got home, has had some milk and his hands and face washed - which he cried about - and then gone to bed and fell fast asleep.

DH and I don't know what to do with ourselves. We have cooked dinner and eaten it at the table with a drink and talked! It was lovely, like pre-DS.

He's busy making some Eton Mess for pudding. Yummies for tummies (as I say to DS all the time). Grin

Nice to hear from you Sairie. 4 months already! How is your MIL doing?

Hope DS is asleep too Cupcake. Did he get his cake?

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 29/07/2015 20:09

Wow Lulu that's good DS is in bed asleep! :) enjoy ur peaceful night!
Yummy, I love Eton mess!
DS won't be asleep probably for another hour, he's been falling asleep around 9pm most nights. Which is okay I'm trying to slowly get it to 8pm but hoping this happens when he goes to nursery :)

We are both lay in bed, DS with his bottle of milk and his teddy, me with my cup of coffee and a frangipani! :)
Work tomorrow so hoping to get a nice sleep! I only have 5 weeks left at work tho!! Shock

Cupcake92 · 29/07/2015 20:09

Oh and yes Lulu he got his cake as he ate all his lunch!!

zombiemeow · 29/07/2015 20:40

Lulu it sounds like there is lots of fun things near you! Everything here stops during the 6 week holidays.

Hi siarie!

Cupcake he had a bad night last night, multiple wake ups and he was awake 3 - 4 Confused he did go to sleep really early at 6 though. He went to sleep at 7.30 tonight so hopefully he will have a better night!

LuluJakey1 · 29/07/2015 22:24

Let's hope they all sleep well tonight. DS is still fast asleep. FX

We are watching One Born Every Minute and reminiscing!

Ducky, I so hope you get an uninterrupted night tonight.

Siarie · 29/07/2015 22:30

Lulu she is doing well, had the op and didn't die. Now she's recovering well so we are just hoping the next scan they do comes back clear. Won't be for a while though, but she's baby sat and everything.

Cupcake it won't be long now! I think when I stopped coming on her you had just had your 12 week scan. I saw your YouTube video appear and all that. Did you find out the sex?

I can't believe four months has almost gone by. Is zombie ducky?

LuluJakey1 · 29/07/2015 22:55

That's really good news Sairie. FX for the scan. It's lovely for her to be able to look after DD for you sometimes. I bet she really enjoys it. How are you?

Yes Ducky is now ZombieMeow but she will always be Ducky to us! Smile

My DS is nearly 31 weeks. Can't believe that either. He is crawling and can stand for a little bit against the sofa but does not have enough balance to do it for more than a few seconds yet before he falls down on his bum. He can stand in his cot too but we have not worked out how he is getting himself up.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 29/07/2015 23:30

Ducky my DS does that if he goes to bed rele early. Hope ur DS sleeps for u tonight. U deserve a good nights sleep!! Can't DH get up with him ?

Siarie yep it'll come round fast! DS has his bday in August and also will be going to starter sessions For nursery then he starts in September and I finish work then it's my bday in September! So lots going on to pass the time! And yes it's anther boy ! :) calling him Oscar.
Glad ur MIL is doing well!!

Lulu I cried my eyes out at OBEM. :(

DS has actually been a very good boy this bedtime. He put his toys away and was asking to come up to bed to have his milk. He fell asleep at 9 and was In bed straight away.

zombiemeow · 30/07/2015 07:01

Glad your mil is doing well siarie

I didn't watch obem as sands put a thing on Facebook that it will be sad.

Ds had a record breaker bad night Sad I had one stretch of almost 2 hours I think. I just don't know what to do any more. I'm exhausted and the only advice I get from gp & hv is to do controlled crying but I just can't Sad

Lillamyy1 · 30/07/2015 08:48

Controlled crying is terrible advice Ducky! It's awful that they're advising to do that!
I have a single bed in DS's room. I sleep in it every night now and it makes it a lot easier. I highly recommend co-sleeping, and I know you said your DS can't go in your bed because of your DH smoking (is he DH at the moment or just H?!) but maybe you could have your own bed in DS's room for bad nights?
Does he cry in the night or just wake up and want attention?

Cupcake, glad your DS was a good boy at bedtime! And yours, Lulu.

Nice to hear from you Siarie! Smile

My DS didn't wake up quite as much last night, but it was still a pretty bad one. It's much easier being in his room though.

zombiemeow · 30/07/2015 09:13

I know lil, I couldn't do it to him. I'm genuinely worried there's something wrong with him/ he's in pain but they don't help at all Sad I tried sleeping on the floor in there last night, it made no difference.
He doesn't nap either. He's tired now but I tried to get him to sleep and he just slaps and pinches me and wriggles and screams Confused

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2015 16:49

Oh no Ducky :( n I also disagree on the controlled crying I hate it. Ur DS sounds so like what my DS was like, honestly, and u think u will never ever get sleep again. It's awful.

Lill I used to sleep in DS's room also! I never had a bed tho I had a spare double duvet folded in half to make a thicker single then lay on top of that with a single quilt.
DS's room was too small then for a spare bed.

Well guess what!!?!! I FINALLY got my physio appt!!! On the 11th August! Took me ringing round everywhere to get it tho. And I am going to be complaining about how log it's took etc. but finally got an appt.
and DS got his hearing assessment appt at the hospital through today, his is 27th August.
And I've also brought a nighty to give birth in today! :) and another one for afterwards, with buttons at the front so it's easier to breastfeed! Cost me £10 for both!
Almost done my hospital bag, still a few more things to get tho.

zombiemeow · 30/07/2015 19:22

Woooo cupcake!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

When did ds sleeping improve?

In other good news me and h have been getting on well the past couple of days Smile

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2015 20:36

Ummmm..... It's never rele improved dramatically :/ it improved a lot when we moved and he was 10 months old then. He suddenly started to sleep longer thoughtout the night all night! But then it Got bad again around Xmas time just after he turned 1. And that's good Ducky!! :)

zombiemeow · 30/07/2015 22:20

Oh no cupcake Grin that doesn't fill me with hope!

He just woke up for the 5th time tonight. He wasn't proper crying, more like a moany cry. Instead of rushing into his room I sat outside, after a few seconds he did a big fart, then started moaning again then did another big fart Confused I guess that's what is waking him up. I have no idea how to improve it though as I burp him well and he crawls about and sits up a lot in the day which gets wind up Hmm

Cupcake92 · 31/07/2015 06:48

Hahaaa my DS does the same Grin he had a bad night last night and ended up spending the whole night in my bed :(
He never properly fell into a deep sleep and kept waking up.
My pelvis was particularly bad last night as well

Cupcake92 · 31/07/2015 20:17

Hope everyone is okay today.
I'm just trying to get DS to sleep!

zombiemeow · 31/07/2015 20:33

Oh no cupcake Confuseddo you still think it could be night terrors?

Ds was quite difficult to get to sleep and when I put him to bed he woke about 10 mins later and I had to settle him again, took about 30 mins Confused

It's just hit me though, for the past few months he has had rashes on and off, bad nappies, problems with wind, problems sleeping and he still has milk every 3 hours which sounds like a lot compared to most. Those all match some of his milk allergy symptoms Sad I'm wondering now if he's still having reactions and needs the other milk for more sensitive babies. I see his dietitian next week so will find out Sad

LuluJakey1 · 31/07/2015 20:46

I'm fine Cupcake. DS is in bed. DH is at the pub with SIL's fiance. I am about to have a bath.

It is our 6th wedding anniversary tomorrow. It hasn't been mentioned Grin

I have got DH a little pressie and a card. We'll see if he has remembered. I shouldn't think he'll be taking me to Paris again. Sad

I have had my hair cut very short again. I love it.

Hope DS settles for you tonight Cupcake.

It does sound like a milk allergy Ducky. Could be the answer!

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 31/07/2015 21:00

I do ducky! Deffo think its night terrors. And also I think when he's done nothing all day and not burned off energy he won't sleep.
If Deffo mention to the dietitian ducky, could be the answer to ur preyers changing milk again.

Oo sounds like a lovely peaceful night Lulu!
I hope u also have a lovely anniversary tomorrow! :) hope DH has a surprise in line for u!

DS is asleep. Going to try and put him in his bed now. We have been to soft play today and he's played all afternoon so I think that wore him out!

zombiemeow · 31/07/2015 21:09

Lulu do you think he would of forgot? I bet he has something nice planned Grin probably organising a babysitter right now! Grin

Hope you get him up to bed ok cupcake! All the soft play etc seems to stop here in the 6 weeks Hmm

Fingers crossed the dietitian has the answers! I would be a bit gutted though as he should be starting to grow out of it now, not getting worse Sad

LuluJakey1 · 31/07/2015 22:55

I have got the heating on tonight. Am tucked up in bed. DH is back from the pub and is cooking himself a bacon sandwich - I am drooling at the thought (of the bacon sandwich, not DH).

We took DS up to the country park at Druridge Bay today. It was beautiful and so peaceful. He had a play on the beach and a paddle- held up by DH- and we had a picnic on the back of the dunes and walked through all the fields and reed beds and by the lake to watch the birds. It was so quiet and sunny. Now it is really cold, so cold the cats were not interested in going out tonight. DS has a babygro on for the first time in weeks.

I had night terrors until I was about 10. I can remember them really clearly. I would wake up almost hysterical and jump out of bed crying and my mam and dad were so calm. It would wear off very quickly once I was properly awake but then I had woken them up and we all had to get back to sleep. My dad would sleep in my bed and I would cuddle in with my mam or sometimes the other way round if she needed her sleep- because once I was awake I liked to chat and sing. Grin

I think that is why I am so tolerant of DH talking to me in the middle of the night.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 01/08/2015 07:41

He went to bed ducky! Woke up at 5am this morning, came down for breakfast and his milk and he's fallen asleep on the sofa now!! Grin
How's ur DS today? How did he sleep last night?

Lulu it was still hot here last night, all through the night. But it's cold now and a bit damp. I love the cold tho, I can't wait for winter so I can get my jumpers out! :)
Let us know if DH has surprised u today!
And oh gosh Lulu that sounds like what DS Is like! He wakes up and jumps out of bed hysterical!

I had an awful sleep myself last night! I get constant braxton hicks, and had them all last night. My belly would tighten then release then 5 mins later tightened again! Happened all night and this morning I've had them here and there. It does worry me it's going to send me into early labour. I have a midwife appt on Thursday so going to mention them to her.
