Evening ladies! I haven't posted in SOOO long so this is going to be a big post....

Purdie - Thanks for popping in and cheering us on! Where are you posting these days? so I can stalk you
Good to hear about your lack of orgasm, I find it really hard to do so after DH, it nearly always happens before.

Nympho Well done on surviving the baby shower! I have a horrible feeling my sil will have one which will be very hard to come up with an excuse not to go to.

Sparkly Sorry to hear you're still feeling poorly, do come back the moment you're better!

Queen We'll get the puppy in August. We want a girl, and I have a favourite at the moment but their eyes aren't even open yet, so we'll decide in a couple of weeks!
Yes to an inviting thread title, we def need some newbies!

Pikz We have our appointment with the nursing team on the 22nd and then its just a case of waiting for AF around the 28th/29th - and then it begins!
Loving your cheeky lunchtime CoC! And yay for ovulation and temp rise!

Nomio Congratulations on the house!!! Yay!! It sounds lovely :)
I'm so frustrated for you re your referral. It does seem very unfair that you practically have to start the waiting all over again.

Mega I'm with you on enjoying getting to the OPK part of the cycle...its so boring doing nothing.
Definitely go for the funding, if there's 1 thing I've learned from this long term ttc thing its don't put your life on hold.

Hopes You're friend sounds like a very brave lady, glad it was a lovely day :)

Frog That's a lot of DTD! You def deserve a bfp after that! We've done 2 days in a row outside of the fertile window which I was quite impressed with - slightly wasted though as 100% no egg just yet, its only CD11!

Fifi Sorry about your rbbish day at work, not what you want first day back :(

Pug Sorry AF rocked up :( but glad to hear you're feeling ok about it.
And hooray for a holiday distraction from the next 2ww!

Boris Sorry to you too Flowers
We won't get fur baby until September, but might bring her home for weekends in about 6 weeks :) Will try and put a photo up for you...

Eskimo Hooray for the clomid!! Keeping everything crossed that it does the trick and you get your BFP very soon!
Hehe, the mum has greyhound in her, and probably the dad too although the owners weren't sure. We want a girl and there are 3 to choose from so will make a decision in a couple of weeks once their eyes are open and they have a bit more character!

DizzyN Hope the hearing test was ok? Oh I see you passed, yay! Sorry you didn't get any answers though.

DizzyM I'm fairly sure you can have the HSG under sedation...my consultant mentioned it for sure. Might be worth looking in to?
Ah I see you did, that's great news, 100% worth the money!
Sorry for the heavy AF :(

Ibeka I have decided no bum on pillow this cycle a la Zita! Last chance, so we'll see...might as well try something different!
And you haven't failed. But I know how your DH feels as I have the exact sae thoughts sometimes. He'll be ok :)

Rainy Yay for the 2ww, fingers crossed for you lovely :)

Pixa I'm okay thank you, 'how am I feeling?' I don't know really, everything. I'm feeling everything! Scared/excited/nervous/happy/disappointed! Lol, just want to get started now. Sorry to hear your DH is so worried about his SA, does he have reason to believe there will be a problem?

Chops Hope you're doing ok, thanks for popping in :)
I too will tell people about my journey if we manage to get a dc out of it! People should now about the difficult journeys.

August Hello!!

Phew, told you it would be long!! Sorry about that!

No news here really, CD11, so pos opk yet, but 2x days in a row of CoC! So spermz are refreshed! 12 days until IVF appointment with the nursing team!
I'm distracting myself with the puppies at the moment, have been to visit every other day!!

As I said to Chops above, I agree with everything you've said about letting people know about hard ttc journeys, and being able to talk about it. I feel so much better if I spend a few minutes talking to someone who knows, having to pretend not to be ready for kids is really tough.

Waves to anyone I missed, Xxx

DizzyMerry · 10/06/2015 19:18

12 days?! How exciting sammy! Yay for the puppies keeping you distracted. Do you have any pics to share?

I have booked an appointment to see the consultant tomorrow evening, eek!

loopylou1984 · 10/06/2015 19:37

That was fast, good luck Dizzy!
Here's a sneaky peak of the pup!

eskimoflo · 10/06/2015 20:20

Geeees, I turn my back again for a couple of days and this place turns into a hippy commune. What is this nonsense about 'visualising your ovaries?' Hmm I can bloody well visualise my fat lazy ovaries sitting there watching Jezza in their trackie bottoms and sponging off my uterus, when they should be donning sweat bands and jogging ten times round my block Hmm Zita West my arse. May I draw your attention to Exhibit A, kindly donated to the Bumsnet thread by the Museum of Natural History (in that there London Taaaaaan). Could this be the reason why bum lifting is banned in some states? I heard someone say once that the little spermies could possibly get caught in the crevice under the cervix and that this could prevent them from making their journey? Confused If you examine this very realistic model, you can see that there is indeed a small dip behind the cervix, and that the spermies could possibly get caught there. I'm not expert, but that could be the reason? Either that, or Ms. West is as full of shit as the man in this model... Hmm

Grin
eskimoflo · 10/06/2015 20:21

Of course, it would help if I uploaded the thing... Blush

HopesUpKnickersDown · 10/06/2015 20:37

Evening bums,

I think TTC feeds on people's insecurities and makes them feel that others will see them as being less of a man or woman for struggling to conceive...which is why people don't tell anyone. That's total rubbish though, I know several uber fit and healthy couples who are struggling to conceive, it's just a total bloody lottery!

I must admit I haven't told many people we're trying again, in all honestly because I had a feeling from the offset that our luck may have ran out...won't stop me trying though and means I value having you lovely ladies to chat to all the more.

Pug, glad to hear that you're not too down about AF and the witch is being (relatively) kind to you.

Nomio sorry for the arrival of AF, hope this is the month for you and DizzyM!

Ibeka, I hope ov is just late this month. Hope you can stay positive, I'm crossing my fingers for you! If you and Robot organise a group egg chant you can count me in!

DizzyN sorry there was no magic cure for you but glad the hearing test was ok.

Fifa I'm definitely the wrong person to give advice about when to test as I'm a nutter but from your dates, and if you were being sensible, I would say test on Friday at the earliest.

Robot thanks for asking, AF has packed her bags and fecked off...hope that's the last I'll see of her for 9 months! ??

DizzyM sorry you're having a tough one, hope you're feeling better soon but until then, look after yourself and stuff yourself full of chocolate. ??

Sammy not long to wait now...fx for you. I'm glad the puppies are proving to be a welcome distraction. I am sooo jealous, I feel like I've been puppy bombed...gorgeous!

Eskimo your post make me piss...and also took me back to year 9 science, not a good place. I'm easily influenced...no more bop for me. I take it you're not interested in the group egg chant? ??

Cd 5 here, gearing up for shagathon, yay.??

Who is this 'orgasm' you all speak of?

Waves to all the other lovely ladies on the bus??

eskimoflo · 10/06/2015 20:49

Knickers I will join in with the egg chant as long as it goes like this:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmTSYchfnQ0

(except when it gets to the lizard, who made me vom in my mouth a little. We can leave the lizard out. Definitely NO lizard...)

ibeka · 10/06/2015 20:53

Is the blue guy our ovary and the yellow girl fallopian tube?!

Sorry, eskimo, it was me what let Zita in. I'll show her the door again...!

Pixa · 10/06/2015 20:56

Nomio Your sisters birthday meal sounds like it was lovely.

Ibeka What is 'Me and My Guide Dog'?' Fingers crossed for ovulation soon!

DizzyMerry I think you have made such a good choice about going for the appointment. Sorry for the AF from hell! Yay for moving fast with your consultant.

Pug I think being on holiday during the two week wait is a fabulous idea!

Chops I hope you are doing well.

DizzyNorth Sorry to hear your appointment was disappointing!

Robot I will happily put an umbrella in your drink! I will go to the famous mystical pregnancy chair if I don't have my bfp by then. I think your friends ttc story restores my faith in humanity - I love that they got support which outweighed the scrutiny.

Sammy that was a mammoth post! Your Puppy is so cute. I would love one but I am not sure I could leave it at home all day. I would need to find a dog walker. 12 days until your IVF appointment is so exciting!

Sammy the only thing that raises concern for the SA is that DH has had undescended testicles and has had two sets of surgery on his testis. There are links between undescended testicles, surgery and infertility. However, at this stage the doctors just want to rule that out as being a causal factor.

I can't thank you all enough for the support. DH is nervous, but is being playful, I was walking around in shorts this morning and he was telling me to censor my bum because he can't get, erm, excited until Friday. Ha ha. He has apologised for being stroppy in advance, but it just makes me sad that it's playing on his mind. Doctors have said a week for the results.

Eskimo I love your v helpful diagram. Grin

Knickers I think you are so right about the insecurities that TTC feeds.

eskimoflo · 10/06/2015 20:57

ibeka Yessssss to the blue ovaries and yellow fallopian tubes! Zita can join us as long as you tape her mouth shut and stick a thermometer up her bum Wink

ibeka · 10/06/2015 21:00

Up her bum??? That's a new one!

ibeka · 10/06/2015 21:02

Pixa, "Me and my guide dog" was on ITV last night. Basically a documentary about guide dog puppies being trained up and the people they go too... there was a very sad bit though!

loopylou1984 · 10/06/2015 21:13

Hopes - sorry to be a puppy bomber!

Pixa - we're going to take a couple of weeks off to settle the puppy in, but after that she will be an outdoor dog (dh is building a kennel!) and our lovely neighbour will stop in to make a fuss of her at lunch time. Fx for your dhs SA, hopefully all will be fine, but better to know! Xx

HopesUpKnickersDown · 10/06/2015 21:15

?? good egg chant Eskimo, but you're right the lizard but a total dipshit...until that point I was totally buying into it.

Pixa glad you and DH are doing ok. Hope Friday goes well and I'm rooting for a good result. Think DH will need a well deserved treat at the weekend ??

loopylou1984 · 10/06/2015 21:16

That lizard is creepy! But I love the song, could only picture it as the follicle on the ovary not wanting to pop out the egg for the little waiting sperm... Whose fault it is not that the eggs not there! Genius! X

HopesUpKnickersDown · 10/06/2015 21:20

Sammy you deserve that little bundle of fluff, I'm jealous but so excited for you! Any thoughts on names?

Nomio230 · 10/06/2015 21:22

Eskimo, I am not a ZW fan either. I think she talks a lot of rubbish & has made a fortune out of people's desperation to be parents.

Sammy, 12 days, eeeek! You must be so excited! Your puppy is gorgeous. Pics like that make me want one myself!

I can't watch the You Tube video at the minute because DH is subjecting me to sharing a car program with me.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 10/06/2015 21:23

Here's my boys, Basil and Milo ??

Bumsnet- you would be amazed at where we stick our thermometers to help us get our BFP's
Nomio230 · 10/06/2015 21:28

Awww, they are so cute! I love the little one best. Smile

loopylou1984 · 10/06/2015 21:31

Thanks hopes and Nomio, Hopes - which one is which?

I am excited, but it's only a consultation in 12 days, not starting then. I have to wait for AF first, so one more 2ww to get through! Xx

Reluctantnympho · 10/06/2015 21:33

Loving the puppy Smile my dog was a nutter in the park today! she did a poo but it was stuck to her bum (by a hair!) so she was running around with it hanging out! [ shock] the girls were screaming and heaving and I had the pleasure of pulling it out Envy oh the joy!!!!

Had a discussion last night with dh (after I had given him a little bit of a refresh on the swimmers front!!) about how his swimmers kind of dribble out rather that shoot out nowadays! I want velocity (I told him) those little guys have a long journey to undertake, they need to shoot out, not seep!! Maybe we are doing it too often and shooting requires a bit more of a build up! Wink

Pixa · 10/06/2015 21:35

An outdoor dog! That's such a good idea! I just want something to mother. DH called it 'emotional unfulfillment', it sounds so clinical. I think he just needs to hurry up and buy me something small and furry!

eskimoflo · 10/06/2015 21:40

Knickers I love your pooches! Cute!

Sammy Can I ask if the lurcher pup will be allowed inside at all? They are such home loving dogs and not really built for outdoors weather... I would hate to think of her getting cold Sad Why are you getting a dog if you're going to keep it outside? I really don't want to offend / upset you; I am concerned about the dog that's all. Please don't think that I'm preaching x x x

I just thought... the lizard could symbolise the sperm reaching the egg, and the transformation that takes place. Maybe we will keep the lizard after all Hmm

Nomio230 · 10/06/2015 21:44

I am cracking up at your poo story, Nympho!

HopesUpKnickersDown · 10/06/2015 21:47

Basil's the tan terrier and Milo is the King Charles. They lower the tone in so many ways, dry humping each other, flactulence, incontintence, bad breath...I could go on...but we do love them!

Nympho that did make me laugh about your dog ??

Your comment about seeping has struck a chord, hadn't realised but DH is dribbling rather than squirting. Definitely not from overuse here, ours should be hitting the ceiling. I wonder if it's an age thing?
