Knickers she really is!

frogbubbles · 08/06/2015 21:39

I really want to knit something, I'm bored of baby blankets I've made 4 already. I've also made 4 crocheted hats, I need some inspiration

fififolle · 08/06/2015 21:45

Frog a scarf or necklet? There's some fab ideas on t'internet.
Pug she's an evil witch Cake

frogbubbles · 08/06/2015 21:52

That's a good idea Fifi Grin

HopesUpKnickersDown · 08/06/2015 21:52

There's a lady in my office who is an awesome knitter, so far I have commissioned her to make two snoods, two pairs of fingerless gloves and two knitted 'elf on a shelf'...wish I could knit but when my mum tried to teach me I was deemed 'cack handed' which I concluded means shit!

fififolle · 08/06/2015 21:54

Or a big cushion for your parts Frog?!!! Grin

Nomio230 · 08/06/2015 22:10

Brilliant idea, Fifi, a TTC cushion!
Sorry you have had such a crappy day. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit easier.

Knickers, I am rubbish at knitting, but love crochet. Maybe you should try that.

Frog, how about a nice shawl or wrap in a summery cotton yarn?

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/06/2015 22:26

Well AF arrived at 2 pm - exactly to the minute that she was due. I've been comforting myself this evening with a bottle of wine.
One of my colleagues is a smug pregnant bitch and gives us daily updates as to how she is - today it didn't help me live with grace much. Sigh. Drink.

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/06/2015 22:29

thepug sorry for AF.
nomio love the house. Perfect family home. X.

Nomio230 · 08/06/2015 22:29

Gag her, Boris.

I am expecting the witch to appear tomorrow. I already have the headache & upset stomach that so often accompany her arrival. Yay.

Pug, sorry to hear she got you.

frogbubbles · 08/06/2015 22:32

Ooh a shawl, I might buy some special lacy type cotton yarn tomorrow.

Hahahaha Fifi I just spat my tea everywhere lol'ing. A foof cushion, I'm thinking big. This could go all the way, dragons den here I come!!!

frogbubbles · 08/06/2015 22:35

Aw Boris, I'm sorry AF arrived. What a bitch, speaking of which your colleague sounds like a total mare!!! How insensitive of her!! I have a friend who sends me daily pictures of her newborn. While I love them both dearly it really hurts.

Nomio230 · 08/06/2015 22:36

That would be hilarious, Frog! Foof cushions are the future!

HopesUpKnickersDown · 08/06/2015 22:41

Boris sorry for AF ??

Nomio I've just googled crochet, I'm not going to lie to you, it looks too complicated for me...but i did come across a crochet elephants trunk thong that I could just see Mr Knickers in Grin. Fx the witch stays away tomorrow.

Frog I think you're onto something! I would buy said foof cushion.

eskimoflo · 08/06/2015 22:47

Right ladies, I'm back and I've stopped feeling sorry for myself! I'm on day 4 of the norethisterone. The consultant gave me 5 days worth of 5mg tablets to take twice a day and I started them on Friday. The last two lots that I got from the GP were the same dosage, but I had to take three a day for 10 days! Confused Anyway, last time I got them from the GP, he gave me an extra lot, so I already had 30 tablets before getting the ones from the consultant on Thursday. (there is a point to this story, bear with me!) When I worked out when I would potentially have a withdrawal bleed and then what would constitute CD21 when I have to have my bloods, it turns out it would fall on a Saturday, so what I'm going to do is take the pills for two days longer, using some of the ones from the GP, so that CD21 falls on a Monday. It means taking the norethisterone for 7 days rather than 5, but given that I have taken it for 10 days the last two times, with one more pill a day, then I don't think it will have any adverse effects! Hmm

So I will take the progesterone for 3 more days, then probably will have a bleed around 5 days later and start the clomid on either CD2 or CD3. Again, the consultant told me to start it CD2, but I have read on the interweb that it works better if you take it on the third day... anyone have any recommendations? Smile And that's me. I will now read back and stop the me, me, me posts and talk to you lovely lot about, well... YOU! Grin

Nomio230 · 08/06/2015 22:53

Sounds like a good idea, Eskimo. I am so pleased that you finally have something to get excited about!

I have taken my Clomid on day 1-5/2-6 and 4-9 so far. The consultant told me as long as you start by day 5 at the latest you are ok. He said to play around with the days and find what works for me. I will be trying 3-8 this month. I am wild and crazy like that. Grin

eskimoflo · 08/06/2015 23:37

Sammy A lurcher puppy! Congratulations! Of course, it's not a greyhound, but you're halfway there I suppose Wink Boy or girl, or don't you know yet?

Pixa Glad you're back and that you had a good holiday. It sounds like you and your DH aired a lot of things and got your heads in the right place. Wishing you luck for his SA on Friday Flowers

ibeka How are you feeling lovely? You've had a rough couple of weeks. Flowers Be kind to yourself, don't beat yourself up, and take things a day at a time. A St Bernard??!!! Can you cope with buckets of drool? Shock I would recommend two greyhounds, but then, I am biased. Wink

Pikz Here's to the next 6 months! 2015 will be our year Flowers

Froggy my lovely! Yup, ex-racers and stairs often don't mix. Luckily, ours have figured them out. They figured that you take stairs as quickly as possible, even if it means that your long and gangly legs fly everywhere and your ascent/descent is completely undignified. Grin

nympho Glad you survived the baby shower. Someone from work has just had a surprise baby shower, and they have plastered photos all over FB. There is something rather unsettling about 15 grown women wearing bibs. Hmm The amount of presents she received was obscene. jealous There'll be nothing left to buy the baby when it does finally arrive Hmm

Queen Thank you for the flying eggs image Grin My doggies are doing ok. Alfie is currently sporting a giraffe print bandage, although I'm not sure he's impressed. He's had leopard print and tiger print in the last couple of weeks and I think he's fed up of being exotic now. Confused Yesterday, Emily started shrieking out in pain when she got up Sad We noticed that she won't bend her head down to sniff or even pick up biscuits, so we are hoping that she's just pulled something in her neck or shoulder. She's off to the vets on Friday anyway for her 3 monthly check up (she has kidney problems) so I will ask him to take a look. Sheesh, dogs are expensive!

Boris Sorry for AF. Hope you're bearing up ok Flowers

Rainy Sorry for the news, but glad that you don't feel too bad about it and you're keeping positive. Remember what chops said about her DH's results; it only takes one! Boris is right- you are one step closer to your baby now. Flowers

Oops Pikz I guess I answered your question in my previous post, but thanks for asking Blush Glad that you got a swift one in at lunchtime Grin FX it's worked!

Nomio Huuuge congratulations on the house! It looks very lovely. That's an interesting chair in the nursery! Do you think it's a preggo chair? Hmm Sorry that you're feeling frustrated; it must be soul destroying. Night is right, you have to focus on the house, and getting it all ready! Thanks for the clomid info. I think I will start on day 3. Do you take 6 pills? I was told 5... Confused

Knickers Your friend sounds amazing! Truly inspirational dat! Chuckling at the crocheted elephant thong thing. WTF?! Confused

Pug Sorry for AF. Hope you're ok Flowers

fifi Glad you've had a good time away. Hope work wasn't too rough, despite the shock of your employee leaving Angry I love the thought of a TTC cushion. Frog What about bum pillows on which to put our raised derrieres? Grin

Mega Hope your sticks see some colour soon! Smile

Purdie and Sparkles soooooo good to hear from you! We need your chairs please. Grin Send them over, come on now. You don't need to sit down, do you? Wink

to anyone that I've missed. That epic post took over an hour! I will definitely post more often. Gah! Night all x x x

megarobotdiscoparty · 09/06/2015 07:00

Morning everyone. I'll take a knitted foof cushion and a crocheted preggo chair please!

Sorry for AF boris and pug. How are the knickers today queen and nomio?

eskimo I started cd2 both times I took it, didn't even know you could take it on different days! Good luck with your pill juggling Grin

Back to the subject of invoking the law of sod, I spent last night humming and hah-ing about putting in a funding application for a big project which would need to happen in October. It would be miserable to do if pregnant (very physical and lots of extra hours planning when already overstretched) but I also know when October comes around I will be gutted if I'm not pregnant and the event goes off without me contributing to it. Gah! I hate not being able to plan my life!

Queenbee30 · 09/06/2015 07:42

pug and boris sorry for AF. This cycle is the cycle when we're ALL gonna get our bfps, and give our babies "bumsnet" as their middle names. Wine

nomio fx AF stays away

eskimo sounds like a plan. I love a plan. Also love your vet for having funky bandages! I hope Emily is ok Flowers our fur babies cause us so much worry! When will the bandage come off Alfie pup?

nomio no, not worried about anything specific with my fertility. I'm just a massive worrier by nature so of course I'm assuming I'm not ovulating/my womb is actually either no there or is inhospitable/I've got an undiagnosed std that means I'm rotten inside...see what I mean. I'm entirely irrational. In fact Im super healthy, youngish, DH is super healthy. So I should be more positive really.

mega go for it. Although you will be preggo by then, you can just shout at other people to get them to sort it out. We're planning a big holiday in sept. My DH is worrying all be morning sicky but can't put my life on hold. I'll deal with it.

big love to you all. Knicker watch is so far uneventful. Feeling a bit crampy. Nipples are SO sore (more than with normal AF symptoms). Cd45 (think I put wrong cd yesterday) so hoping for AF v v v soon.

Queenbee30 · 09/06/2015 07:43

Ps. hopes your friend is AMAZING

Pixa · 09/06/2015 07:46

I need to have a proper update, but after skimming. I am going to sew a 'bum on the pillow' pillow. Grin

Pikz · 09/06/2015 07:56

Popping in between negotiating with a two year old about cheese and trying to get to work for a few hours due to stupid sickness nursery rules.

Any how's sorry for the ads :(

Loving the pregnancy cushions and amazing friends. I would be howling at the court today

Temp rise this morning so think tomorrow will be 1dpo

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/06/2015 08:43

Morning, just been trying to catch up!

nomio that is really frustrating, do you know if they ever get cancellations to get you in sooner? I suppose they must be rare but we've already seen a couple on here fall preggo whilst waiting for treatment! So it may happen sooner than you think or you may even fall naturally yourself while you're waiting! I'm good thanks, just waiting for AF to come this weekend as I didn't ovulate this month again so I just want this cycle to be over.

I'm surprisingly not feeling too upset about my lack of ovulation, especially seeing as I was talking to a colleague yesterday who is much much younger than me and she was saying that she was told when she was 21 that she only has a 20% chance of conceiving naturally due to bad endo. I don't know why I keep missing ov, but I feel thankful that (as far as I'm aware) there is no reason why I can't get pregnant, even if I end up needing a little bit of help at some point.

pixa how are you?

boris sorry to hear that AF got you.

hopesup enjoy court! What a special day Smile

Hi to everyone else!

I'm off to hospital this morning for a hearing test in an attempt to get to the bottom of what is wrong with my ears. I have constant ringing in my ears at the moment so I have no idea how I'm going to get on!

Nomio230 · 09/06/2015 10:39

That sounds a bit worrying, Dizzy. I hope you get it sorted out.
I am going to ask about cancellations, and in the meantime keep plodding on & pray for a miracle.

Knickers, I think I love your friend!

I did an IC & a CB today & got BFNs, so think I need to face the fact that I am not pregnant. I have put in a complaint with my sister, as being due on her birthday was supposed to bring me good luck! Oh well, at least I can drink later.Wine

Queen, I understand those fears all too well. It is a good idea to get checked out just in case, although hopefully the sore boobs mean you are upduffed already!

megarobotdiscoparty · 09/06/2015 10:43

Good luck for your appointment dizzy - let us know how you get on. I have tinnitus (self-inflicted after years of noisy gigs and clubs so I'm not deserving of sympathy) -it's rubbish and annoying, so hope they can find a fix for you.

How's post-holiday life today Pixa and fifi? Sorry about your bell-end colleague Fifi, sounds like she was a bit scared and probably knows she's in the wrong!

Good luck Pikz, let's hope the jumping did the job!

Glad to see the sun is shining for knickers and her friend!

Queen just maddening isn't it. Do you have anything to distract yourself with for the next day or so?? I'm wrestling with myself but suspect I'll probably put a bid in anyway and ask for loads of money - let fate decide if they approve it and at least I'll have loads of cash to spend on it if it's a yes! I can't palm off the final thing on anyone else as I'll be leading the project, but I could cancel with a few months notice if I really needed to. It would be nice to have something to get excited about, especially as if I'm not pregnant by October we might be stopping ttc as we cannae afford any more treatment. Where are you off to on your hols??

Frog how are the nether regions today?
