Hi everyone,

Here's our shiny new thread continuing from the old 'who wants to buddy up' thread (sorry, don't know how to link). I'm sure some regulars will be along in a minute and also anyone else who is ttc and would like some company is very welcome to join- we're very friendly!

mrs the pill can really kill your libido or maybe it is the excitement of doing it all natural, as nature intended so to speak!

violet i have never tried the dissolve in water trick either and usually just assume any unusual ewcm at weird time is jizz if i have been jizzed upon! Grin

Well 3 more days until af due and i can test of course i have been poas daily just incase and all bfn but trying to remain positive and failing

Thanks duck It is only my first cycle ttc but feel at my age time is against me! My youngest dc is 7 this year so it has been a long time. Just hope everything is working like before.

Hope you have lots of romance planned for the next 24-48 hrs! Its so romantic here, I'm like 'right love I need a deposit of your finest most active sperm thank you very much!' God love dh, he is very obliging!! Grin

Ha ha sounds just like our house!! I reckon they feel all manly and secretly love being in demand. Like some stud! My dh actually said he would feel a bit cheated if it happened this cycle as he had imagined months of shagging like teenagers trying.
I would however be delighted. The sooner the better as far as i am concerned! I am not getting any younger!!

Does your dd kniw you are ttc duck?
My two girls are like little detectives. They saw the pregnancy tests/opk kits in the shopping bags and they are asking why we need these? I have to sneak arpund like some naughty school girl hiding the evidence!!! Don't want to tell them incase it never happens.

Meh... looks like AF could be on its way. Have had a crampy feeling this morning and now spotting cd26 so would be in time for my annoying spotting before af in 3 days. Huh so much for the progesterone cream! Meh.... Sad

Ah well I shall be ordering some preseed for cycle number 2!

is anyone else having trouble with spots???? I have them as bad as I did when I was a teenager. it's awful Sad only been since coil came out too.

I am Nicky, I'm as spotty as I was when I was 14! But with more lines. Although it was worse when I first came off the pill so perhaps it's settling down a bit now.
Healthy eating plan is not going so well either. On the plus side I am having absolutely no caffeine!

Haha re the 'stud husbands'...though by day 5 of dtd every day OH starts to grumble a bit, I'll remind him of this once I'm pregnant and he's moaning he's not getting to dtd enough! Grin

Still got the cold, and done a bit of trying-to-conceive-crazy-person-googling research. Apparently there is something called Early Pregnancy Factor (EPF) which is a pregnancy specific protein which lowers the immune system so that the womans body doesn't think the fertilised egg is an invader and attack it. So catching colds etc is more likely. Apparently this EPF is released about 48 hrs after fertilisation, but other things I've read suggest it could be even sooner than that. Very interesting as most of the medical articles online suggest symptoms cannot begin until a woman starts producing hcg after implantation. Not that EPF means anyones pregnant as it comes before implantation, but still interesting.

Mrs I think the pill dries up any secretions, so dtd is a lot nicer without it, at the right time of the month of course!

Shoos I hope that isn't a sign of AF coming Sad

Violet, I did the same mad googling (something of a pastime for us all, methinks!) and the cold thing does really seem to be a thing.

duck , you could have told dd that everyone has their interests, and yours happens to be pee sticks...?!

RubberDuck - I smoke at weekends. It used to be occasional weekends but for the last year or so it's religiously every weekend!!
In the tww last cycle it played on my mind a lot but I kept thinking that the very second I got a bfp I would be good. I'd like to hope it's be easy as it just goes hand in hand with drinking. I worry that stopping drinking at the weekends will be super super hard for me!!

Well the bitch turned up. Had my temp drop this morning too so at least there is no confusion. Hello cycle #2!

Will be ordering some preseed this month.

I am due a smear too so can get that done before i ovulate. Every cloud.

How is everyone else doing? Must look back at thread, who ordered preseed, did it come and how are you getting on with it if you are at the dtd stage?! Was it you issie or pink ? Must look back and see. Crap memory ladies.... brain mush after 3 babies... Grin

shoos No i didn't order any but im taking the pregncare trying to conceive, I will have to wait and see if it helps at all!

I am also an obsessive googler - my most googled thing at the moment is 'early pregnancy signs' Is it just me or does everyone obsess over every little thing that could be a 'sign' I didn't think i would be like this at all!

That sucks shoos Sad sorry AF showed up but glad you're feeling positive about cycle 2. It was me who ordered the preseed on your recommendation! Yep we've been using it since it arrived, it's good though time will tell if it's a magic BFP device, I'll keep you posted, about 10 days until I can POAS.

I think my dtd-marathon is over as OH is in Brussels for 2 days working now. We managed cd9,12,14,16,17,18 and may try 'one for luck' tomorrow night when OH gets back which will be cd21. Just a waiting game now-eek!

violet what have you been doing with caffeine this month? I've been having 1 coffee a day as part of my ploy to fool my body in to thinking I'm relaxed about this ttc malarky Grin

I'm totally confused now as I started to have some spotting Monday and had it for 3 days with mild cramps and now nothingConfused ...gone totally nothing.

Hope your all having a lovely day and enjoying the sunshine! 7dpo today and getting impatient, wondering when to start testing as I have all these cheapo tests in a drawer but don't want to be disappointed. So far I haven't tested and have just waited for AF to be late, only it never has been. Hmm when to start testing then Sun 10dpo, mon 11dpo, tues 12dpo, wed AF due day. (Only have on average a 12 day luteal phase.)

Shoos So sorry the witch got you hun Sad Flowers. I've been using conceive plus this month (similar thing to pre-seed), don't know if it actually did anything yet off course, we shall see...

Issie I have had one coffee per day this cycle, can't be too good, I don't know how long this will take...If I do get a BFP though I won't have any at all, even though properly one a day would have no bearing whatsoever.

Choc I'm certain the cold thing is a thing too. I'm just not certain that's why I've got one. Probably going to be disappointed and find out I've just caught a cold!! Did you have any implantation pains that you noticed? I'm sure I had implantation cramps last month and then wasn't pregnant. It was seven days before AF due that I had them. So I'm on the look out for them this time but haven't felt anything yet. Have you calculated your estimated due date?

Pink my internet history sounds like yours, but also includes "implantation calculator" "pregnancy test date calculator" (these are actual things I have discovered) and "cold at 4dpo an early pregnancy sign" and finally "early pregnancy factor?"

Nicky I have no idea, did you test?
