Aww bless you choc, try not to worry!
I am in tww now, was hoping to dtd yesterday (1 for luck) but my DH decided to water the garden while I was waiting in bed and I fell asleep! I'm still only on cycle 2 so I'm sure we'll up our game in coming months xxx

inmyshoos · 18/06/2015 08:02

Hi ladies!! Will post more later as just getting up to start the crazy school run but just wanted to say to choc try not worry. Although I haven't practiced for a long time I am a qualified midwife and honestly your stirfry wont have done any harm. If you consider that there are people everyday who eat crap diets and/or those addicted to heroin/alcohol and they conceive and carry babies more often than one would like to see. choc just the fact that you are worrying about this tells me you are looking after your little peanut more than most and you won't be doing anything to harm its development. I had a mc 7 years ago. I was gutted. When I left hospital there were hugely pregnant women at least 4 of them, all standing at the entrance smoking fags. I remember feeling how life was so unfair. I had been eating a healthy diet and avoiding caffiene etc. The things that are most likely to cause mc are the things you have no control over. Try and relax lovely as it's the best thing you can do at this stage. Enjoy knowing you have a wee peanut growing in there.

Will try and do stats later after dc go to school but just to say i am cd8 as AF came on cd26 last mnth!

Until later ladies.... Flowers

I've got some mild cramping today and headache Sad feel bit rubbish just hope it bogs off as we go on holiday on Monday x

Mrs1986 · 18/06/2015 15:40

Haha I have never been called laid back in my life.
We have only just started so I don't wanna go too ocd just yet.

My biggest concern is trying to lose weight before I conceive.
My biggest problem is, I am so happy in my life that I often (always) forget that I'm so overweight.
But now that I am ttc I worry about the complications for the baby and also have heard that fat people take rubbish scans as the scanning equipment can't see very well on rounder tummies!

It's nice that we have got these forums so we can share things like that, as I would never tell my DH that I worry about those things (would cause him to worry too).

duck - your sore nipples don't sound like fun! Fx it's a great sign for you!

Nicky - I bet you are looking forward to your holiday!

Mrs 29 ttc#1 cycle 2 cd20 will test on 29th if I can wait that long!

being overweight does play on your mind. I was a big girl when I had my other 2 and I mean big (19 stone) and my first scans were rubbish Sad ...... but second were clear.
it's something that plays on my mind still now as I'm not as big but still need to lose some but love my food too much x

Mrs1986 · 18/06/2015 17:58

Thanks fellow fatties for coming forward!! I am 17 stone :-( and my blame goes to a love of wine and carbs in generous quantities!! That and I think I was born to be big, I come from a big family. Like I say? It never bothers me in the slightest cause I am so happy that I forget I'm overweight until I see myself in a photo or a mirror!
I lost 2 stone for my wedding last year, went from 16 stone to 14 stone. In 11 months I then put 3 stone on!! I just need to build up the desire to focus and remember to watch what I eat (and drink!!).

Duck and Nicky - I take it you had no difficulties getting pregnant with your weight last time? Xx

chocfireguard · 18/06/2015 18:44

duck, you're absolutely spot on... This is a very lovely thread indeed!Smile

shoos, thank you so much for taking time out of a hectic morning to reassure me. I can't protect against everything, but apparently that wont stop me trying!! (I am a nightmare to live with, as you may all have guessed now!!).

Sorry that af has arrived violet. When I was looking at other threads, while choosing which one to throw myself upon, I saw that it had become known as ertd on one...evil red tide of doom. Recon they were on to something!

mrs, I know it must be playing on your mind, but I tend to think that healthy lifestyles are more influential than weight in this sort of thing? duck, I have heard good things about slimming world...? Ooh, and i took boots cheapie 90 folic acid tablets, and iron because I didn't think I would otherwise be getting enough. Obviously have no idea how they compare, but definitely a fraction of the price!

Issie339 · 18/06/2015 19:01

duck I'm taking pregnacare conception and haven't had any problems with my nips so far...OH is taking the pregnacare man conception ones so when he gets home I'll ask him if he's had any nip issues GrinGrin he'll love that after a long day at work Lols.

Everyone seems to be stressed out today, hope you can all relax in the sunshine this evening WineCake

Good morning!

Is it just me or do you all feel like you are completely calm amd fine before ovulation. Just dtd really. But after ovulation it is like you become posessed?! As soon as I ovulate i know that the waiting game begins, i no longer have control over what happens, i just havevto wait and see and I actually think it is the lack of control that kills me!!

This cycle (2) I am armed with pre seed, bit c, vit b complex, zinc magnesium and calcium and evening primrose oil. I rattle when i walk!! Dh is on a multi vit plus extra zinc/magnesium. I had been on sertraline for 3 months too (for pmt and general broken heartedness after a horrible loss last year) I know lots of people take sertraline in pregnancy but i know i would worry so i stopped it. Have lost the wrapped in cotton wool feeling it gave me but hoping the excitement of ttc and the thought of something new and positive in the future will help.Looking at prams helps too Grin

I have found a very lovely Jane slalom buggy someone nearby is selling. I was so tempted to go see it but managed some pretty good self control. it helped that dh looked at me like i was crazy when i mentioned it

inmyshoos · 19/06/2015 09:15

issie next stats you are 21 my love. Wink

VioletIbiza88 · 19/06/2015 15:48

Afternoon lovelies, don't know how its got to this time already, all ive done is a load of washing, hovered upstairs and a food shop and the day is almost gone!!

Anyway after AF teased me by been a day late I am moving onwards and upwards to cycle 4 which I hope will be a lucky one!! Have bought some pre-seed to try this time and some more cheapy opks. Purposefully didn't choose any that come with free tests, because this is a chilled cycle!! Issie we can have coffee! Absolutely no silly early testing, and no trusting symptoms, because they are all completely random and absolutely no indication of being pregnant or not whatsoever!!!

Also OH came back with some selenium, multi-vits with iron and cod liver oil for himself, after being sent out for zinc and selenium?? I asked about the zinc and he said it was £2.50 instead of £1 like the others he bought so he decided to shop around!!! Tight arse!!! I'm continuing with B complex and folic acid, never bothered with pregnacare, as I try to eat relatively healthy anyway.

Anyway where the hell is Pink?????

Issie339 · 19/06/2015 16:59

shoos sounds like you have a lot going on at the moment but glad you're upbeat and excited.

violet yes I'm thinking July is going to be lucky- March will be a lovely birthday for our babies Smile And I agree that it all seems totally random, I'm sooo over symptom spotting now Grin

I'm sure this time last cycle I was convinced I'd be preg, but this time I'm convinced I'm not, so I think I do feel more relaxed. I think the sunshine helps.
I've hard the longest hardest day at work and am so over it! I pray for the day I stop caring and can tell them I'm off for a year to cuddle a little cutie and spend my days singing silly nursery rhymes!!
