Congratulations purdie and oyster!!

What wonderful news xx

Pikz · 26/05/2015 17:58

Purdie which maca supplement did you use?

purdiepie · 26/05/2015 18:09

Pikz, This one from Amazon

Aenor, here is my chart. As you can see, there was a huge rise at 12dpo (however, I am not convinced FF got my ov day right; I have never, in 29 cycles of charting, ovulated on CD14; it is always CD15). I will also post my pregnancy chart from when my IVF was successful with Nancy; there is the same freaky rise in temp at 9dpo and I think this was what raised my hopes massively this cycle. This is also the first cycle ever where I did not have a single day of fertile cervical mucus. Bizarre. We hear all about the importance of ewcm and exercise and a great diet and no caffeine and 'loads' of sex and quitting sugar, but that just has not been the case for us. I don't mean that in a smug way, I mean it in a bamboozled way. It just seems so effing random.

*not 'rod', 'eod' Hmm

*thin as a rake, not thin as a take Grin

Hairstylisttoboris · 26/05/2015 18:24

Right I have a positive opk. Any ideas for imaginative new ways I can get DH to try to impregnate me tonight?

purdiepie · 26/05/2015 18:27

Dizzy, I meant to say 'can't get me 'ead around.'

I really do despise these smart alek smartphones.

glitteryflange · 26/05/2015 18:38

Tiggle the balls Boris. Works every time.

Pikz · 26/05/2015 18:40

Glittery that made me spit tea!

Purdie did you take it every day and how much?

purdiepie · 26/05/2015 18:41

Dizzy, what the flipping heck are your temps up to? Could this be an anovulatory cycle (which is nothing to worry about)? How many charts do you have in your armoury to compare this one to?

Fig, thank you, I had my blood taken this morning and will only get the results 'in about 48 hours'. We'll see about that Grin

Frog, did you sneak your own goodies in?

Mustbemad! My fellow crumbly! Are you preggo again? Smile

Glittery, can. not. WAIT for you to get your bfp.

Riceicle, I miss you, you know. Won't you come back? How're things in your life? Your tots are effing gorgeous. All of 'em.

Robot, how old is your tot and how many cycles of Clomid did it take to conceive him? Why were you on it? Did you find it hateful? I put 8lbs on with that bastard drug. Did you have to have an ERPC after your mmc? I really hope you get those two pink stripes very soon Flowers

Pixa · 26/05/2015 18:43

Purdie I have been grinning all day about your news. You must both be on cloud 9.

purdiepie · 26/05/2015 18:46

Pikz, I just take the one capsule, not sure how many mg that is. I wonder if it really is the wonder drug it is purported to be? I do wonder if it was the 400mg of co-enzyme that rejuvenated me ol' eggs, but I only started with it about six weeks ago, if that.

Or was it the brazil nuts improving the odds of implantation, as claimed in the on-line blurb? Hmm

purdiepie · 26/05/2015 18:52

Pixa, DH & I simply cannot believe it. I don't want to go on about it (for obvious reasons) but you did ask; I never really believed I was capable of getting pregnant with my own eggs again (and we have yet to see whether I can carry my own biological babies to term) after that mmc in 2012. It just proves to me that what we perceive to be our rotten odds of getting pregnant - especially as the months roll by and everyone around us seems to get all the luck - doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. What we think of ourselves and our chances is irrelevant; it can and will happen - as long as the sperm is there every month and you don't give up Flowers

Pixa · 26/05/2015 18:57

It's lovely Purdie. Wishing you a very happy, but mainly healthy and sticky, pregnancy! Smile

I think Amazon's Maca Root sales are going to increase over the next few days...

aenor · 26/05/2015 19:01

Purdie thanks! I'm temping for the first time this cycle and shall look out for the 9dpo jump!

Re EWCM, this month for the first time ever I had some pink/brown in it around ovulation. Not sure what that means.

Thrilled you've managed to get knocked up with your own eggs! It gives the rest of us over 40's hope.

loopylou1984 · 26/05/2015 19:06

In the airport waiting to come home!

Purdie - you're not going to leave us are you? I need you to help me through this IVF thing! Xx

Mummyofonesofar · 26/05/2015 19:21

glittery I've been up and down today. Been out with DP and had lunch together and bought some more plants and pots including lavender which I love. DP is a roofer so he brings home these manky old chimney pots but they looked so unloved so I scrubbed one today and painted it and it looks smashing!

Then decided to start scraping up the garden gravel (which I have always hated) ready to pave the garden during summer but have over done it and now in bed resting while DP cooks dinner.

megarobotdiscoparty · 26/05/2015 19:33

boris if you come up with something good please let me know! Willing to try anything at this stage fancy - dress, upside down, in the ear

Mummy standing (just about) on the other side I can say it's pretty normal to feel pure red rage at your friend. I fluctuated between numb and murderous for weeks. Do you have people you can vent at/cry with/talk to? Sounds like you've got a good supportive bus full of ladies here too. Always happy to listen.

Purdie your BFP gives me hope! You must be on the ceiling! Our DS is 2. He was 18 months in the shagging, got a hit on the first cycle of Clomid - incredulity all round. Had no AFs at all before so was amazed when they started up last year after packing in breastfeeding. So although we are back on the Clomid now I'm hopeful we might do it ourselves. Our MMC was a DIY pregnancy in a month off the drugs so clearly it can be done it just needs to bloody stick next time

AF is teasing me...was hoping today would be cd1 and the end of the bizarro WTF cycle, but there's just not enough knicker gubbins to call it yet. I've got the mood and complexion of a grotty teenager though so pretty sure she's not far off.

Lovely sunsoaked evening here, hope it's the same where you all are.

Hairstylisttoboris · 26/05/2015 19:36
DizzyMerry · 26/05/2015 19:46

Me too boris! It's excellent news and two bfp's already on the new thread. Hope they start rolling in.

Purdie this is only the second cycle of temping so not much to compare against. Another flashing smiley today so no idea what's going on. I hope it's not an anovulatory cycle I won't be happy!!!

glitteryflange · 26/05/2015 19:57

Thank you Purdie Smile still very chuffed for you. Bet your mammy & all your family is delighted for you both. Can't believe Nancy is going to be a big sister!

Another 2lbs off this week so hopefully it won't be too long. FF has placed me at 2dpo. AF due 3rd June. So piss flaps crossed!

Mummy am so glad you are feeling brighter. Do whatever it takes to make you feel good. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I just hope that with each passing day you feel more... You. If that makes sense?

Haha sorry Pixa but a ball bag tiggle always seems to perk em up! Smile

Mummyofonesofar · 26/05/2015 20:02

mega I do. I have fantastic friends who live next door who I am spending the day in with tomorrow. And others on the end of a phone ready if I need them. Pregnant friend just text to say "at least you can move on now" I'm sure she is trying to be nice. But yes I also want to hit her with a big hammer Envy

Beansprout30 · 26/05/2015 20:12

Oh yes purdie I do remember reading that post, I also remember you saying you didn't believe smoking, caffeine etc had any effect on baby making and I think you are absolutely right (although I'm not gonna tell dh that as he's done so well packing in the fags!) What vits has your dh been taking? Sorry if you've already posted but I cant keep up! chops recommended vit c so might get dh on those, im reluctant to take anything other thab folic acid as everything seems to screw ovulation up for me.

mummy poor timing from your friend, I assume she's not aware of what's happened? I hope you feel better soon, as others have said, I cannot imagine how it must feel to go through a mc x x

Rainy34 · 26/05/2015 20:13

Purdie I still can't believe you have got a bfp, i am so pleased for you, I am also wondering that this month you knew that you were in preparation for a donor, if this made you more chilled and helped you get preggers?????!!! xx
