bean it has to be 1000mg Vit C. There had been a study done about it removing free radicals from sperm so they don't clump together and can swim free! Because dh had so few % good ones I thought it might give them a chance to break away from the deformed ones. In the study thry were taking 2000mg for a few months but if the plan is taking them long term then they say 1000mg. Dh is convinced it helped coz we got a bfp 3 months after he started them, coincidently the time taken for sperm to regenerate!

purdie I loathed clomid despite only having done 2 rounds...made me a vile hellmonster first time, this time it's turned me into a right weeping wendy. And I puffed up like a balloon! Will try any crazy voodoo to get an egg without using it this month...how long did you take it for? Did it work for you?

Beansprout, DH is on 100mg co-enzyme (I would have liked 300mg but couldn't afford it, what with the price of baccie ), magnesium, zinc and selenium.

Speaking of Clomid, ladies, I've been a bit naughty. Remember I gave up on the drug after four cycles and gaining weight? Well..I rang the nurse who does the Clomid scans this morning and told her I was pregnant from my fifth cycle of Clomid after a three month break off the drug. She's told me this means I get a scan at seven weeks and I'm back under the care of the consultant who prescribed it

Boris I am all out of ideas. After DH mentioned it yesterday, tonight I dug out the crotchless peakaboo lingerie set he bought me for valentines day (10 years ago, he was 19 bless him). Robot, I took it for four months straight in 2012/13 after not falling pregnant after my mmc. I honestly thought it would be my subfertility panacea. The disappointment was stingy, I can tell you. I'm ok thanks Purdie, well having good and bad days actually but trying to keep ploughing on. I've convinced myself it will never work for me now I emailed another clinic who were concerned about my short cycles (22 days) They said I could develop a dominant follicle before the end of my previous cycle so would have to be monitored carefully to ensure that one was collected even if it meant sacrificing other smaller ones. Funnily enough during my last treatment I did have one follicle that was a bit bigger than the rest and then it disappeared before my next scan. I don't know what happened to it and whether I ovulated early which messed things up. The clinic didn't seem that bothered about it at the time. I'm worried about the next cycle now though as don't want to miss it this time. It's all a bit draining as have been researching so much stuff lately.

My best friend had her baby on the weekend and also several of my other friends are pregnant at the moment just wish I could join them.

Gosh mummy she sounds rather insensitive, perhaps keep her at arms lengths until you feel like you let her comments go over your head.

purdie high five! I did exactly that with my last BFP- we were off the drugs but I fudged my dates for an early scan. Very very very glad we did now, as the MC would have caught me by surprise otherwise. You can't fib enough for peace of mind - totally doing it again if we get a non-drug BFP. Good fibbing skills! We're on 50mg (apparently that's all it takes to turn me into a medusa -serious respect to anyone on 100!!)

mummy I am sure she is simply too stupid to know how hurtful she is being.I've got a very similar friend and find it very hard to be civil to her at times. Glad to hear you have lots of other lovely people to offer proper support.. and I hope she has wonderful qualities that may redeem her when the dust has settled!

I'm off for a work trip the next few days, then home for my (30th!) birthday over the weekend then off again with work for 4 days next week and 4 the week after, so I'm keeping everything crossed that fate has been kind to us and my fertile periods don't fall when I'm away.
