Oops ttc not tto

inmyshoos · 21/06/2015 20:08

Can i say hello and join in? I am 39 have 3dc but ttc #4. Had my others at 28, 30 and 32. Worried now that i am dried up like an old husk.....

This is second cycle ttc and have bern using opks, temping and have some preseed to help my lack of ewcm.

putney i would just go for it if i were you. I fell preg when my dd1 was 9mnths and was over the moon. I think 2 close in age is lovely. Sadly that preg ended in mc for me but I got preg with dd2 a few months later so there is only 21 months between my girls.
Fingers crossed for some BFP's this month! Flowers

FlourishingMrs · 21/06/2015 21:19

Welcome in my shoos, always a pleasure to have a newbie, with lots of experience. How long did it take you to conceive the 3?

My first was one night, second a few months after depo. Currently on mounth 6 for this one. After Mirena, no sure how long hormones leave your blood stream.

inmyshoos · 21/06/2015 22:06

Hi flourish Ds second cycle, Dd I think first or second (not long anyway) and then the one i mc was definitely a one of quickie as dh worked away so could pinpoint exactly when, dd2 conceived in the Dec after mc in the september.

Mirena should be out your system fairly quickly I would think as the hormone is localised. Fx it doesn't take you long. I had Mirena before ds and think i had it out just before we started ttc. Was almost 12 years ago so can't quite remember!

Fridgedooropen · 26/06/2015 01:12

How late do you all keep going with the EOD pattern? Right till AF arrives? I think we've been stopping too early, though I am usually in need of a rest by the last week in a month. As you guessed reni we're doing SMEP, although we've deviated from in some way each month, but it's a goal. Am now on day 21 and since I know last time I conceived with sex either on day 18 or day 21, I feel like we should always do those days - though v often I've been too tired by then. This month have managed days 8, 13, 14, 16, 19. I got a positive OPK on day 13. Looking at that now it seems less impressive, though I've been feeling pleased given there has been lots of travelling away for each of us!

reni1 · 26/06/2015 09:14

Wow, fridge, super effort there! We were planning eod until AF, but we faltered a few days post ov. With your+OPK on day 13 you surely covered it by keeping going until cd19. Fingers crossed.

FlourishingMrs · 27/06/2015 12:27

Are you symptom spotting ladies, fighting the need to POAS

OP posts:
Putneymummy1 · 27/06/2015 14:08

Yes! I've been feeling really weird over last week and a half since we last dtd. Bit spaced out. Very tired - in waves of exhaustion - and low level nausea and upset tummy, which has stopped now. Also some mild cramping pains similar to when I was preg although got those later. I'm either preg or have some horrible virus which is quite possible since I hang around a lot of babies. Too soon to poas. Af not due til 6 July. What do you think x

FlourishingMrs · 27/06/2015 19:17

Oh Putneymummy, how many days DPO are you? I think the earliest should be at least 10 days post ovulation to test. I am trying hard to wait u til then but chances aware I will crack tomorrow.

First response at that stage is like flipping a coin, it's best to just wait until day 14' however if you are symptom sporting a BFN is the quickest cure.

Have you thought about how to break the BFP news to DH onçe you know?

OP posts:
Putneymummy1 · 28/06/2015 09:50

i think I'm only prob 8 dpo - I thought it was more but I don't really know what I'm doing! Still slightly nauseous and waves of tiredness. I really shouldn't be tired and wasn't til about 4 days ago. Anyway yes I need to know either way!! Aaagh!! Earliest in can test is 1 July so will report back. I think I underestimated dh actually and I think he's more ready than I thought. He loves ds so much. dBoss will be another story though! Anyway chances are it's just a virus. Good luck everyone waiting to test x

reni1 · 29/06/2015 11:03

14 dpo, AF due today or tomorrow. Pointedly NOT symptom spotting or testing, I developed so many phantom symptoms before when not pregnant and very few when actually pregnant until at least 8 weeks. Waiting for the witch and with her the ability to drink wine.

FlourishingMrs · 29/06/2015 18:49

Hi Reni1, I have actually not completely stopped drinking a glass twice week this month. TTC just seems to take over so decided to keep up with gym etc.

10 days post ovulation and another negative, got cheap ones for a pound each. I had all they symptoms and a BFN sorted them out. I bet the witch is laughing as we speak.

OP posts:
Fridgedooropen · 29/06/2015 19:49

I drink very little anyway but had one drink on Saturday night in a 'there, if I do that then I'll definitely turn out to be pregnant' spirit of defiance. Expecting my period by Wednesday. I'm getting twinges atm but they're not as bad as last month, so am merrily convincing myself they could be implantation cramps not pre menstrual ones Hmm I'll test on Wednesday if nothing has shown up by then. Last few months I have had cramps in the 3/4 days before AF arrives that give the game away and spoil all my fantasies about due dates, names etc. Hmm

reni1 · 29/06/2015 22:25

Fridge and flourishing, I mean the kind of "the bottle is open we MUST finish it" kind of drinking. I get the oh, I'll turn out pregnant vibe, fridge. I'd love that. I'm not though, AF is coming tomorrow.

FlourishingMrs · 30/06/2015 06:15

I am due AF tomorrow, testes this morning again BFN so I am not letting it take over my life anymore.

OP posts:
Putneymummy1 · 30/06/2015 06:37

I'm due 6th. Keep you posted. Sorry about the bfn Flourishing - (now you're not going to think about it as much it will happen next month!!)
but thank you for the great typo! Grin

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 30/06/2015 09:33

Hi all I was on this thread before but NCed so I don't out my TTC plans at work (avid MNer at work).

Sorry about all the BFNs. I haven't even taken a test after 7 months of TTC as I just kins of assume every month it won't happen. That's not the attitude is it?!

My AF is due in 2 days and I can tell it's coming already as boobs starting to hurt.

reni1 · 01/07/2015 08:49

AF is in town Sad . Couple of days after I thought, just to tease me. Has she shown, flourishing? Good luck to all still in the wait.

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 01/07/2015 10:25

Sorry to hear reni Sad.

Mine is also imminent. Have been reading that boob ache prior to AF is a sign of estrogen dominance, which is not good for TTC. Sigh. Anyone know what can be done about that? Should I be going down the progesterone cream route? not entirely sure what progesterone cream is, or where to get it.

NB. Should clarify re my earlier post, I'm not the avid MNer at my work. Someone else is. And I was worried I might've outed my TTC plans so NCed as insurance.

reni1 · 01/07/2015 14:41

Really, boob pain for me was the only sign of the pregnancy that resulted in dd. Before 8 weeks at least.

ReallyNotAMorningPerson · 01/07/2015 16:39

Reni do you normally not get it though, if you see what I mean?

I read somewhere that it's a sign of estrogen dominance if you get it like clockwork before your AF (which I do), and also they said something about the different type of boob pain (I think it was - if it's all over it's a pregnancy sign, if based just around the nipples.... estrogen ishoos).

FlourishingMrs · 01/07/2015 21:53

No sigh of AF but I feel her coming. Tested again this morning BFN, it must be the good weather delaying her. Sure she will be here tomorrow.

OP posts:
reni1 · 01/07/2015 22:06

I sometimes get it, sometimes not, Really, sometimes around ovulation, sometimes later, often not. Now you told me this I have something else to fret about Grin .

FlourishingMrs · 01/07/2015 22:23

Sorry no sign

reni1 · 01/07/2015 22:25

AF is probably sighing in the heat though like the rest of us Wink .
