loopy, as keep says there is a theory that Natural Killer Cells and Cytokines can prevent pregnancy or cause miscarriage. Your body has an inappropriate response to the embryo, sees it as a threat and attacks. The tests can be done privately in many places including the Care clinics, Zita West and lots of gynaes. In the USA it is now very accepted theory and there is a great tome of a book called 'Is your Body baby friendly which explains all the variance issues in a lot of detail. I had this issues as well as clotting problems, I specifically had anti-thyroid antibodies and my body attacked its own hormones and so did not product enough progesterone to sustain early pregnancies (I also had lots of chemical pregnancies). The treatment is steroids, aspirin, progesterone, steroids and sometimes an intralipid drip. In more extreme cases an IVIG drip.
I have had success on this treatment as have a number of friends after numerous MCs and 'normal' standard MC testing. I suspect as more research comes out there will be greater acceptance about these theories but at the moment they are controversial. I believe the only place testing this on the NHS is Professor Quenby a Coventry although some RMC clinics are prescribing the drug regime on an empirical basis.
there is also something called the Response Trial which is testing for something else, I am not sure what but there is a thread on here about it!
imps, come on those follies, you are on an incredibly low dose of stims, I know they are worried about overstimulating you due to your AMH but clearly that is less of concern now seeing how you have reacted. To give you an idea I was on 600 (!) although my AMH was very low but I would have thought they could start you off at 200-300?
keep hoping for a surge soon!
My bump is growing and feels much bigger than last time! All is well I believe and I get lots of kicks in the evening which is lovely. I am a bit nervous about the birth and still weighing up going for a c section as this baby could have haemophilia (I am a carrier) and I had shoulder dystocia last time, or trying to go as natural as possible and avoid the epidural that I think lead to all the problems last time. If only we had a crystal ball!
