Just been to the doctor for day 3 and 21 blood test results

Doctor is happy with my results and says my progesterone is 27nmol at day 21 and suggests that i have ovulated, i have other reading but dont really understand them, DH just has to do his sample and then she will refer us to fertility clinic. she just kept saying have lots and lots of sex

Purdie i started to temp but i keep forgetting, the doctor said that my score would indicate ovulation and that they have changed it to 30 as the score used to be 24!!, the thing is doctors don't really specialise in fertility so she may not know it does say on the paper work

everything else says normal no action, so you may be onto something, once the fertility clinic gets my notes they should be able to have a better indication

She said she understands my concerns, told me that up to two years [shocked] is quite normal for a first child. I need to keep trying, but if in three months there has been no change, she will start the ball rolling with tests and a referral to the clinic. She said there is no harm in DH asking for a SA; the clinic will ask for information about it anyway and will ask about undescended testis. We talked about general lifestyle; eating well, exercising, reducing stress etc. Was quite good to know that we can get the ball rolling with DHs SA to get it ruled out and to know that we can get tests in three months if needed, with no messing about.

We need to liven this bus up. Shall I make some brownies and cocktails? Mimosa bar anyone?

Purds DH has his sperm analysis today. We just rushed it to homerton hospital. Hence why he was at home having a five finger shuffle. His balls hurt now apparently. What a sissy.

Thermometer arrived today so I can start temping tomorrow yay! CD6. Any tips? I know I am supposed to take it at the same time everyday I am thinking 6am as that is what time I set alarm for work. Do I have to take it as soon as I wake and if I wake early do I take it early

Pixa your appointment seems to have gone really well. It's great your DH can get SA done now as these things can take time. Three months will fly by and having a plan in place really helps. Hopefully you'll have your bfp by then but just focus on the fact that you're not far now.

Hope the SA results are good glittery.

Fig you should take your temp at the same time each day and ideally you should do it after having at least 3 hours of solid sleep. I think if you get up earlier and you know you won't get enough sleep then you should take it at the earlier time. I only started temping last month so hopefully one of the more knowledgable ladies will be along will advise shortly.
