Purds I'm ok most of the time and that is part of my problem I think, that life seems to be getting back to normal and of course everyone else is just going about their normal business and it feels like I was never really pregnant and it was all just some weird 4-week fantasy world dream. I just get sad when I remember what should could have been.

nomio I shall soon recommence cervix checking and po-opk-s so will be able to join in with you all! How are you? Will you definitely get your scan on Tues?

I knew it worked purdie but wasn't sure it would work for me. DH is 44 so thought EOD was better, just happened to concide with Ov day this time
I have a friend in Oz who as long as I've known has never had a fella so was surprised a few years back when she announced her pg - she wanted to be a mum but has no interest in men and AI worked for her.

Pug, I know it doesn't help, but I am sure that what you are feeling is perfectly normal. I was only PG for a few days with my CP, but I struggled with losing the future that I had planned out. All the hopes and excitement that I felt when I saw those two lines were suddenly gone. It must be so much harder when you have been pregnant for several weeks. Give yourself time. X

No, my scan is not definite. The Dr ordered it urgently & said if I hadn't heard by Tues afternoon to call her back & she will chase it.

Not going till my birthday in November! So excited though as I have always wanted to go :) only negatives I have heard is about the number of people there in the summer but the internet says that won't be a problem in November! Have read that some people say it's the best time to visit :)

Thank you everyone for the baby bomb sympathy. I'm finding this really hard, I think because it's going to be in my face all the time, and I know it's going to prompt certain family members to ask why we're taking so long about it.

Wotsits - I really don't think there is a good way to tell someone. It always makes you think 'it's not fair/we've been trying longer/why can't that be us', but not in person I'd say. She won't want you to see her upset because she won't want you to confuse her hurt with not being happy for you. Purdies suggestion of a letter is good, although still a shock bit of post. Could you tell her dh? Then he can pass it on in the privacy of your own home? Xx

If you do nothing else whilst there you have to go to the Vatican.
