The Rules of Bumsnet

  1. Don't talk about Bumsnet
  2. Get the sperm in the hole
  3. Don't LPB. It's frowned upon.

Hello all hangs head in shame sorry I seemed to have missed half of the last bus!

Looking for some advice, been for day 21 blood tests today, AF due in a week, but this morning I have had the biggest glob of ewcm (sorry tmi) so now I'm panicking that I haven't even ovd yet and I could be in for another 40 day cycle! get the results in 2 weeks as couldn't get me and DH into docs before then.

Queenbee30 · 06/05/2015 09:40

Urgh still stuck on a very delayed train.

purdie glad you're sticking the placement out, will look great on your cv and the rest of your time will fly by.
eskimo how's the doggy corns? They were featured on supervet, which always makes me cry

Where's boris?

Cd11, nothing to report. Started POAS with my Cbfm and dtd last night to flush out the old swimmers.

Nomio230 · 06/05/2015 09:49

Plum, I only started taking them a few days ago. I am now 7 DPO & usually have a 9 day LP, so should find out soon. I am on Cyclogest 200mg twice a day. I had to go private to get them though, as NHS won't prescribe them. It cost about £65 for 3 months supply, so I am really hoping it works!

Good luck, Frog. I am thinking of you.

Night, you are not out yet!

Queen, look on the bright side. Instead of being at work, you can chat to us!

DizzyNorthernBird · 06/05/2015 10:04

Morning!

So, I'm in a bit of a quandary today about whether to do this 10k race tonight.

Does anyone have any advice on whether an increased heart rate can interfere with a bean implanting?

I was thinking I'd do the race but listen to my body and if I'm finding it tough I'll back off and take it easy. But now I'm wondering if I should do it at all Confused

However, if AF comes at the weekend I'll be really pissed off that I missed the race.

Also, this race is two laps of the silverstone racing circuit and I'm excited about the opportunity of running around the F1 track! Blush argh!

nightandthelight · 06/05/2015 10:10

My understanding Dizzy and the advice from the NHS is that it is safe to continue with exercise that you are already used to. The NHS do advise that you are able to maintain a conversation as that indicates that your oxygen levels are fine.

I say go for it but don't go for a pb :)

DizzyNorthernBird · 06/05/2015 10:21

Thanks night, I'm not fit enough for a pb at the moment anyway Grin.

It might be chucking it down later so the weather might decide for me! Lol

Nomio230 · 06/05/2015 10:25

I think you will be fine to do it. listen to your body. If you get too tired, then stop, but as you are used to this kind of torture exercise, you should be ok.

frogbubbles · 06/05/2015 10:25

A quick, me me me post sorry ladies!! So US/DC results are back: pretty much normal, lining looks good, small pouch of fluid on one of FT but she says nothing to worry over. Calcification in right ovary again nothing to worry about. Only thing that is "slightly" worrying is my cervix tilts back rather than forward. She said I'm sure we will see you soon preggers Smile

So diagnosis: one wonky fanny, still in good working order.!! Grin

Mummyofonesofar · 06/05/2015 10:33

frog glad everything looked normal ish down there!

DizzyNorthernBird · 06/05/2015 10:38

frog what are the concerns about a wonky cervix? Glad everything else is looking good for you!

nightandthelight · 06/05/2015 10:44

I have heard that lying on your front after DTD helps get sperm through a wonky cervix frog :)

Mummyofonesofar · 06/05/2015 10:49

frog so when you check your cervix (if you do this) is it pointing towards your back? I thought that way the normal way for it to point, so it can "sick" up the spermies pooling at the back when you lie down.

DizzyNorthernBird · 06/05/2015 10:55

I had to go and check my cervix to see which way mine points, I find this fascinating!

Mine is still so high I can barely reach it, but the entrance would be facing my bottom.....is that what you meant mummy?

DizzyNorthernBird · 06/05/2015 11:04

I'm off to meet my friend for lunch shortly, she's due in a week! Eeeek! She told me she was pg back in November which was just when DP and I had decided to start ttc. Can't believe how fast the time has flown!

Mummyofonesofar · 06/05/2015 11:07

Yes, that is the way mine goes - it has confused me that frog said hers is odd in that it tilts back rather than forwards - when I thought pionting back towards your bottom was the norm!

Woolly84 · 06/05/2015 11:24

frog doggy style is supposed to be good for backwards facing cervix! I'm sure my GP said something similar about mine once, so we're going to try that position more this month!

purdiepie · 06/05/2015 11:28

Yes, Sammy, and they have an embryoscope which, quite frankly, you would be insane to not utilise (£750).

nightandthelight · 06/05/2015 12:06

My cervix appears to point towards my bottom :) is anyone able to explain what the position of your cervix tells you about your cycle?

ibeka · 06/05/2015 12:25

How the fuck do you all know so much about your cervixes?? I can't tell what way mine points, it just feels like a load of random fleshy and bumpy bits!!!

frog glad it was all ok - I think you need to change your username to wonkyfanny!

So I'm a bit worried I'm going to OV early and haven't had enough shagging... Last time I didn't OV until day 16/18...

dizzy I think you'll be fine. I read loads on this before skiing from various places including royal college of obs and gynae. General consensus is to continue with your normal exercise routine. If you are a runner you will be fine. I have many friends who have continued racing until their bumps got too bouncy!

Nomio230 · 06/05/2015 12:40

I just tried to feel mine but it is too high up right now. I was told when I had a smear before that it was quite high or tilted or something like that!

autonomousplum · 06/05/2015 12:49

All this talk of running and cervices is freaking me out. Tiring me out too. So much effort to do both! Grin

autonomousplum · 06/05/2015 12:53

Ah nomio that's cool although the money is quite a lot. Please keep me updated! Actually purds the gp was amazing. Immediately agreed to try it this month when I mentioned my cycle length, but it will be a private prescription too as I haven't had any previous "concerns".

loopylou1984 · 06/05/2015 13:02

Well that's good to know. Do ALL the care clinics have the embryoscope? We're not in a huge city... Xx

Nomio230 · 06/05/2015 13:20

Sammy, the HFEA websit has lots of information on all the different clinics. I did find a page before which tells you everywhere in the UK that has an embryoscope, but I can't find it now. I will keep looking.

Plum, I will keep you updated.
