pixa I find that too. Definitely think it's the cervix position but agree seems totally at odds with biology!

glittery congrats on the 8lb loss; fab!

Hope all you Pubes are in fine fettle. I'm mostly missing the North today and concocting plans on how I can move back. and being totally preggo

Queenbee30 · 21/04/2015 08:05

Thanks mummy! Realised I hadn't posted for a while and didn't want to be discarded like a used condom

Mummyofonesofar · 21/04/2015 08:10

Queen missing the North - another Northerner living down South? Or have we had this conversation before? I miss the South! Though it is sunny oops for this week this is nice but meant to be miserable again by the weekend.

Pixa · 21/04/2015 08:15

Mummy I thought it went higher during ovulation too but assumed it was just a knock on change with everything else going on in there.

Thanks Queen - As much as I don't wish painful sex on you, it's a relief to know I am not alone!

DizzyNorthernBird · 21/04/2015 08:16

pixa I've tried that quinoa salad you mentioned a couple of times (minus the tarragon as I'm too tight to spend 70p on a bunch of herbs lol) it's lovely, very summery tasting. I love anything with feta.

nomio, sparkly have you tried toasting the quinoa before you cook it? It gives it a lovely nutty flavour. It might make it a bit tastier for you nomio if you're still undecided on it. You just dry roast the grains in a frying pan until they start popping and turn golden. Lovely!

sparkly hi five back atcha! I knew you'd be with me on the McDonald's thing!

Why everyone swoons at the thought of a limp burger that's sat on the side going cold for 10 minutes is beyond me! Have you people never been to GBK? Now thats a good burger!

spinning yay for ov week! FF reckons I'll ov on Friday, I'm thinking it might be Sunday. DP is all set to get started on Thursday, I've made him promise to dtd three times this cycle. Fx he can manage it! We've been abstaining for a week for that reason! Had my first bit of ewcm this morning so we'll see how the week pans out though. Oh and your DH sounds like mine, he loves any opportunity for a wind up!

Hmm weird places for sex.....I'm another boring one I'm afraid, I love the comfort of my own bed. Don't even really like it on the sofa! I did once do it in an alleyway against a fence when I was drunk. Someone walked past and spoiled the moment though Blush. And I once gave someone a blowie on the end of a pier! That was the year I was campsite repping abroad, so there was lots of noisy sex in a tent. I would always forget that a layer of canvas isn't a brick wall!!!

Oysterbabe · 21/04/2015 08:19

Morning!
9DPO. Temp has gone back up this morning. It's getting near that stage when I start getting itching fingers for poas. Not until 14DPO though.

Hair trial last night so that's all sorted. My hairdresser and florist both seem more nervous than me! They must have experienced some nightmare brides.

DizzyMerry · 21/04/2015 08:21

Morning all.

I'm looking forward to this picture night. Well done for dtd in the morning.

Queen that's some exotic sex.

Pixa I had intense pains around ovulation last cycle but no problems with dtd although some people do have this. Our bodies can be annoying at times.

Dizzy I hate McDonalds. Haven't been for years. Love feta though.

Sparkly we didn't dtd last night. I was too knackered but it's the lead up to fertile week so tonight's the night Grin

Queenbee30 · 21/04/2015 08:29

mummy Yep, wanna swap places? Wink to be fair weather nice here but crap by weekend too.

night nice work on weekday
morning dtd!

Queenbee30 · 21/04/2015 08:30

oyster enjoy every second! I know everyone says it but it all goes too fast! Loved having my hair and make up done. Wondered whether I could get someone in everyday to make me look half decent.

DizzyNorthernBird · 21/04/2015 08:35

queen which area are you from & where are you living? I'm a Cumbrian living in Bucks. I love living in the south, I just wish I could have the northern house prices here....I could buy a four bed house for the price of my two bed flat here Hmm. I do miss home but not the constant grey skies.

purdiepie · 21/04/2015 08:39

Love limp burgers. It's limp penises I can't stomach.

Quinoa is revolting.

Three more days Sparkly Thanks

Queenbee30 · 21/04/2015 08:42

dizzy I'm from Manchester, living in Hampshire. I'm very lucky as we own a house in a very expensive city, but I hate commuting to London and want my sprogs to speak Northern

Queenbee30 · 21/04/2015 08:44

Totally outed myself with that post Hmm

IT at work has broken. purdie please can you help?

Sorry for thread hogging but I'm bored!

sparkly just caught up Flowers and thinking of you

Mummyofonesofar · 21/04/2015 08:48

DizzyN GBK – I love love it! But I also love McDonalds breakfast, DP hates everything there though occasionally I force him to join us.

Queen yes lets swap! Hampshire, I would swap if you were more East - bit posh for me! I am a Kentish/London border girlie living in Cumbria and want my DS and future babies to speak Southern!

nightandthelight · 21/04/2015 08:56

Just the normal ones I think mummy, what do the dual hormone ones do differently?

Mummyofonesofar · 21/04/2015 08:58

Just that you get high days then peak ones - so you could be on high days now - you just get a bit more warning of ov and sticks to convinve DH that it is important to DTD Grin. You can get quite a few high days before the peak (though the first month I jumped straight to peak)

nightandthelight · 21/04/2015 09:05

Ah right ok thanks mummy :) if not successful this month will get those next month. At the mo just trying to have regular dtd!

Mummyofonesofar · 21/04/2015 09:14

My temp has dipped below the coverline today at 9dpo, Not a big enough dip to suggest implantation though so I guess it is me on my way out as due on Saturday - DP said it should be easy to not test until Sunday as that is when I would be late and it makes most sense. I laughed in his face Blush

Pikz · 21/04/2015 09:34

Mummy crossing fingers that isn't the case

MelonMelon · 21/04/2015 10:17

Morning! All this burger talk is making me crave a Five Guys! Salad for lunch again and a run later, come on baby body let's av ya! Well AF has now departed so I'm back on the wagon Smile Who knows what this cycle will bring! I still have a GP appointment booked for next week so I think I'll go, have got myself paranoid about PCOS but surely they can see that from an internal scan and mine all came back ok?

Sparkly the days are ticking away!

spinningirl10 · 21/04/2015 10:20

Morning Grin

Night, well done for morning dtdWink

Mummy, fx af stays away.

Oyster, ooh it's all coming together. Can't wait to see pics of you in your dressGrin

Sparkly, how are you today?

I enjoyed the roast but my body didn't Hmm I haven't eaten food like that for so long and it gave me terrible indigestion/ stomach pains for most of the night.
Will have to have another read back as I can't remember anything else!

spinningirl10 · 21/04/2015 10:31

Glittery, well done on the AI, I shall be worried about wasting any! Just picked my syringes up so I'm good to goGrin

Mummy, yes Hollister is so dark, I think it's so that you can't see the price of a little vest top is £45!!!!

When I cook quinoa I always add a good squeeze of lemon juice to the pan. Agree that quinoa in salads works well. Delicioulsy Ella has some lovely salad recipes with quinoa. The fennel and pomegranate seed one is really good.

Oyster, tell us about your wedding day? What times the wedding and what do you have planned for the reception?

Purdie, what a lovely surprise for dh to come and meet you from the train. I'm sure Nancy must have been thrilled to see you. Is your Mum improving?

Hairstylisttoboris · 21/04/2015 10:49

Oh queen I also live in an expensive hampshire commuter town.... Maybe we are neighbours :)

DizzyMerry · 21/04/2015 10:51

I've just come back from my GP appointment. She wanted to get all my swabs done in order to put in a referral. I completely forgot she needed to do this. I was on the bed with my face covered and she said "I'm not about to kill you" as I kept asking her not to tell me what she was doing. She then said "if I carry on now it'll be classed as assault" Blush It wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all and she always uses the smallest speculum but I always do this. I'm the nurses worst nightmare and that's why my GP does all my smear tests and thankfully she laughs and jokes about itit as she knows what I'm like. I really don't know how I managed to give birth and why the hell I'm putting myself through this again Confused

Nomio230 · 21/04/2015 10:52

Morning all, I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

Dizzy I like your idea of roasting quinoa first. I am going to try that and see if it tastes nicer.

Oyster we definitely need wedding details. You must be getting so excited now!

Mummy my DH doesn't get it either. He thinks it it will just happen when it happens & we will know soon enough. Aaaargh! They really have no idea how we feel!

I spoke to DH last night about AI, but he is not really keen. He didn't flat out say no, but he would rather just get the sperm up there the old fashioned way. I still have the pot & syringe though, so we shall see.
