Sparkly, this is what my friend has said. I have copied and pasted her verbatim (except the bit were she said your clinic are 'fuckers' and your nurse is an egotistical twat) :
'Actually the doc may have a point. Re the MC - chances of a successful preg is still 75% after 3 MC. I strongly believe it is a numbers game to get the 'right' embie. Also, I did a little reading and progesterone is prescribed after IVF because the IVF knocks out the natural hormone levels in making prog. Crinone is a tiny substitute for it. Having said that, progesterone can be used if a woman really isn't producing enough.
I think she needs a plan - I.e she gives it another 6 months of TTC, monitors for preg/MC as she is doing then makes a fuss at that point.
So after 6 months I would go above the consultant's head/change clinic etc. Hopefully by then she will be fully pregnant or have enough evidence to go for more invasive treatment: drugs (assuming she can physically) [I told her, in part, about your neuro-physiological problems].
For now though that clinic sounds shite - not enough info re their plans for her; what they are doing now; completely insensitive and keen to discount evidence of what's happening (Jan pregnancy.)'
Just to say, Sparkly, I passed on your kind sympathy for her losses. She thanks you.
