Oh, Pikz, I'm so glad you finally ov'd!
Rainy, what wonderful, wonderful news! I totally think you are going to be pregnant really soon once they're tweaked your hormones.
Sparkly, I am absolutely gutted about all of this
It is true that clinicians won't record a pregnancy unless it's been detected on their premises and with their HPT's. I think it is best for your mental health that we don't dwell on this and look at the positives in having had your latest miscarriage recorded as such. It's a big thing, believe me, and a battle lots of women who suffer very early losses have to contend with.
I absolutely think you ought to have a private consultation with a different fertility consultant. We can't have you suffering this two more times in order to tick the recurrent miscarriage box. A private consultant will take your January chemical seriously and can shed more light than I can as to why you are miscarrying when the uterine lining looks healthy. Perhaps you have high NK killer cells. This is talked about a lot over on the Recurrent Miscarriage thread (and boy do they have some smart and long-suffering women over there). I don't suggest you go there yet as those women are there after having lost four or more babies and it is not a happy thread (obviously). There's a lot of heartache and you are nowhere near going down that avenue.
So...Nurse Ratchet has put your second blood test back to Thursday, right? That's 72 hours after your first beta blood test today. So..if your number 49 has trebled you can begin to have a glimmer of hope. Until then, please know how bloody unbelievably gutted we are for you. I still maintain you are in a better place today than you were last month (in terms of moving forwards). I know that must feel stingy that I've said that when you are so devastated, but we need to look for positives here. Please rest and be kind to yourself. I think you did a terrific job today putting across your displeasure and anxiety about your health. Brilliant job. Now go get looking for a good consultant in your area (you could start a thread asking Scottish ladies in your region for recommendations)
