Boris she has already, reportedly, got 13 children.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 18:23

Melon, that's quite some time to wait for your appointment!

Sparkly, what is wrong with Trunchbull?!! Your appointment at the hospital sounded quite helpful and she was sympathetic and listened to you. The thick lining is good news. But what's with the phone call......you need to phone back and speak to somebody else, her senior? And ask that your previous chemical is added to your notes. You're a sensible woman and she should be listening to you and not disregarding it simply because you didn't pee on one of their tests! Taking a break is not an option, you are right when you ask what this will achieve as without further investigation this could sadly happen again.
I will continue to hope and keep everything crossed that this bean will stick for you.

Rainy, good news that you're being referred, remember knowledge is power. Always best to know what you are dealing with and then you can start to improve things. One step closer to your baby.

Ibeka, pleased you spoke to someone helpful. Hopefully your faint line will have gone by the end of the week.

Mummy, please try not to worry. Positive thinkingSmile

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 18:26

Oh and Sparkly, you mentioned a private consultation. I think this would be a very good idea. Do some research and find somewhere that you're 100% happy with and see what they say.

tessiegirl · 13/04/2015 18:34

Sparkly So bloody frustrating, when I saw your first post I was so happy for you, then I saw the second one and I feel so angry, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I am keeping everything firmly crossed that come Thursday you can prove Trunchball wrong...

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 18:46

Went for a nice walk with DS tonight then ruined the calorie burning by getting cod & chips. Was feeling grumpy so dp took me to get yummy food!

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 18:51

That is so frustrating sparkly. Trunchbull has done a complete u turn, what the hell is wrong with some of these 'healthcare professionals'. I would also say put in a complaint or ask to speak to somebody else. I would actually put in a complaint as you have had issues with her previously and she seems hell bent on proving you wrong and her own theories correct. You don't deserve to be treated like this, nobody does. ((Hugs))

Ibeka I'm sorry your experience with private treatment wasn't positive. It must have been awful to deal with that Flowers I have to say my experience of the NHS has always been positive. Though my consultant did give me a shock once when he asked why he operated on me Confused err, hello!!!

Sparkly123 · 13/04/2015 18:53

Boris oh my. 65!! Unreal!

ibeka on Thursday dh and I will battle it out with the truncher and the consultant if necessary. I think from their point of view though they prob won't give in as it's NHS policy.

Creme Pixa Pikz Rainy Daisy thanks so much. So kind

Rainy sorry I totally thought you were off to fertility today! So it's gp yeh? These are great steps forward!! So pleased for you! It's true.. So much can be done if prog is the issue so stay positive lovely. Hope you feel better after the app!

Spins yeh the lining was thick at scan but then blood all came heavier after that? Plus.. Where did clots etc come from if lining was still in tact? So confused! How are you doing?

mummy that sounds a nice little pick me up!!! Glad you got some comfort food! Can't beat it.

Dizzymerry will see how she is on Thursday... Urgh! Thanks lovely. Always remember your story of that consultant! Terrible! Hope you are ok. Have you talked to dh and thought of a plan for going forward?

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:03

Not strictly TTC related but my new shoes and dress arrived today for DHs birthday spa weekend. I have no doubt that there will be lots of DTD going on. Grin

Bring on the SMEP! Grin

DizzyMerry · 13/04/2015 19:04

I have sort of narrowed it down sparkly. The obvious ones are either go with the NHS or go Private. However, the other option is to go the NHS route whilst continuing with the reflexology. I only say this because this is the first cycle I got a positive opk so that's a step forward and my reflexologist does have knowledge in this area and works on hormonal imbalance. I was thinking of taking maca but I'm just so scared of making things worse so it's a case of working through the 3 options and deciding on one.

cremedecacao · 13/04/2015 19:05

Good luck with Trunchballs on Thursday! Good idea to take DH.

I have a burning question.

I have a smear test at 11 tomorrow morning. Just went to the loo and, low and behold, found loads of EWCM! I am due to ovulate on Friday so didn't even bother to take an ov test, but now I feel we should DTD just in case! Can you dtd before a smear test? What do I do?!

Rainy34 · 13/04/2015 19:05

Yeah sorry sparkly was just at GP, I feel better now , did have abut bubble with oh, don't know how he puts up with me,

It's such a mystery that the lining looked perfect , I'm hoping that it's nothing sinister , hopefully by Thursday the spotting will have stopped and it will be ok for you but if it is not we are all hear for you and I know you will get your baby in the end, x

ibeka · 13/04/2015 19:07

Sparkles it can't be NHS policy to discount your pregnancy just because it was a home test. I never even did a test at the GP. She said 'we don't test you - our tests are no better than the ones you can buy so there's no point. If you got a positive at home you are definitely pregnant'. It may be their trust policy but consultants have the right/power to do what they think is most appropriate in each case. I'm sure she/he can get it acknowledged as a pregnancy at the very least, even if it is still policy not to investigate until 3 MCs. Angry on your behalf.

Riceicle1 · 13/04/2015 19:08

sparkly what a rollercoaster Sad ((hugs)) your dh sounds so supportive and lovely. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Thursday brings some positive news.
Boring old cycle day 8 here, I'm begining my DTd marathon tonight, so I'm off to shave my legs and paint my toe nails! (As tesco says... Every little helps!)

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:10

Creme yes have sex! It won't worry the nurse, I'm sure they've seen all sortsSmile

cremedecacao · 13/04/2015 19:12

I am so excited, I have waited MONTHS to get this kind of ewcm! I am NOT letting my pride stop me now Grin

Hairstylisttoboris · 13/04/2015 19:15

Oh sparkly just caught up with your second update. I think you need a second opinion or to complain. It's so rubbish how you've been treated. I have to say your DH seems wonderful. How is he coping?

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 19:17

creme I would go for it too, they have definitely seen worse.

Sparkly all policies can be bypassed, no one in the NHS does everything by the rules.

pixa how lovely getting new shoes & dress for your weekend away! I hope you have a lovely time.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:18

Mummy, fish and chips sound good!
I had rainbow trout and salad.

Goodness Boris! There's hope for me and Purdey thenGrin

Ooh Pixa do tell us about your new dress and shoes, I love new clothesSmile

Sparkly, pleased Dh is going with you on Thursday. My early mc is on my doctors file. I never did an hpt test at the surgery. They did take bloods to see what was happening and the bloods confirmed a mc. I'm very lucky that my doctor and the nurse I saw that day were lovely, I was a mess and they were so kind. It makes me so mad that not everyone receives this level of care at such a heartbreaking time.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:19

Haha Riceicle, I like that, have funWink

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:20

Can you rearrange your smear Creme? Either way I would definitely go for it. Smile

Spinning Did I see that you found your letter?!

Thanks Mummy, it's a new everything for this trip away. I like to spoil myself every now and then! Smile Hope you are well.

spinningirl10 · 13/04/2015 19:24

Yea Pixa, it was in the fridge!!!! Underneath the ham. I remember now that I was in a rush to put the cold bits away as I had an appointment. Ds was helping me so one of us obviously grabbed the ham and the letter togetherGrin

Pixa · 13/04/2015 19:28

That's amazing, Spinning, I love that it was under the ham. I found my sugar cannister in the fridge the other day! Grin

MarysPrayer · 13/04/2015 19:44

Just a few cells Sad Angry Sparkly , what a cruel thing for her to say. You would expect a fertility nurse to have more empathy. That little clump of cells is your baby, whose due date will no doubt be etched on you heart by now.
I really hope you get some answers soon. I also really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 19:46

pixa I am ok, just a bit meh.

spinnin under the ham haha! I do it with the bin all the time, though the item in the bin and keep the packet in my hand.

Mummyofonesofar · 13/04/2015 19:46
