Thanks Babs How funny that we're having a conversation about a menstrual issue on here, whilst over in FB land, we're discussing possible toppings for a jacket potato. Life is a peculiar game we play Grin (And it just goes to show what BS FB is sometimes!)

babsbunny · 23/03/2015 19:57

Purdey will we get a photo of the new specs?

babsbunny · 23/03/2015 19:59

Eskimo. That's Facebook. But it's nice to talk about light stuff sometimes too!
Ps the nutella isn't as mad as it sounds....

Woolly84 · 23/03/2015 20:00

Ah thanks purdey, I shall try and be more vocal if I can keep up with this fast moving bus!! Grin
That's so lovely of your mum, and yay for new specs!!
sparkly I'm so sorry you had a bad experience, time to rest and pamper yourself now it's done! Flowers
eskimo I hope things get moving for you soon, hang on in there! Can understand how frustrating it must be.
Yes where is juney my cycle buddy??

Sparkly123 · 23/03/2015 20:15

Eskimo sorry. Must be so frustrating. I hope so much you get somewhere soon. So difficult but you must keep positive. Star sounds like you and dh doing a really good job of adding some humour in to keep you going! Flowers

Sparkly123 · 23/03/2015 20:16

Juney we are all thinking of you Flowers

Sparkly123 · 23/03/2015 20:22

Enjoy your night Spinning Cake

DizzyMerry they have suspected endo for a while with me but I've just not been well enough to go through a lap. Sorry that was the outcome for you Flowers

I'm in quite a lot of pain just now and really exhausted. Plus I'm peeing ever two seconds! Ha. I honestly wonder what on earth is wrong with my insides given other people have had the opposite experience to me. A mutant I tell you! That's me! Blush

Nomio230 · 23/03/2015 21:03

Awww, Eskimo, I really feel for you. You sound so frustrated and down. Could you arrange anything fun to cheer yourself up? A weekend away or night out with friends maybe?

Purds, that is brilliant news. We need a pic of you in your fancy new glasses!

Sparkly, I am sorry you had such a bad experience. At least they were able to get the pictures, so it wasn't all for nothing. I hope you are having a nice relaxing evening. Cake

Juney, I hope you are OK. I am thinking of you.

juneybean · 23/03/2015 21:07

Hi lovelies! Still have friend visiting so will catch up properly tomorrow night after she goes.

I'm off work today and tomorrow but had a text today to say they went to a better hospital who said they can just steri-strip it, no need for GA and stitches! Yay!

Have bought little charge some nice gifts but now I'm worried it'll be seen as an admission of guilt when it was just a accident :(

frogbubbles · 23/03/2015 21:11

Awww juney that's really brilliant news!! I'm glad you aren't fretting now these things happen to us all x

loopylou1984 · 23/03/2015 21:14

The April bus is making my app crash again.... Does anyone know how to report it to mumsnet?

Evening everyone, hope everyone's ok?

Purdey - yay for new glasses!!

Sparkly - sorry your hgdybffhhophy was horrible, weirdly I'd still like to know details if you wouldn't mind? You can pm me if you don't want to terrify others... I'd just rather be prepared!

Did someone just say Nutella on jacket potato?? I love Nutella but even I'm not sure I'd try that!! Xx

loopylou1984 · 23/03/2015 21:15

And Juney, so pleased your charge is ok! What happened?
I think gifts are ok, if delivered with a 'hope you're feeling better now' message Smile

PurdeyPie · 23/03/2015 21:17

Eskimo, I hate that you feel you are at your bloody limit. And who can blame you? We are not given monthly cycles for nothing; our bodies need to expel the build-up and regenerate if we are to be healthy of mind (which nicely-regulated hormones engender) and body. You must feel so out of kilter. I just know that a simple bit of tweaking will do the trick for you. Why don't you yet have a date for help? Hmm

Yes, my mum is fabulous and a bit nuts I had to buy the lovely deep purply ones because I needed some gigs pronto and those frames allowed the optician to merely pop out the lenses from my broken specs and lob 'em into t'new 'uns. So that was seventy quid and I spent the rest on make-up for my new job. You know..the one that's failing to bastard materialise.

Thanks for progesterone simpaffy. I can't stay on Clomid forever. No-one can.

Sparkly, are you in post-HSG pain right now? I dearly hope not.

Juney, where are you, doll?

Pug, your post made me laugh about the £5k. Mum has since told me that her new washing machine (delivered at the weekend) was £100 cheaper than she thought and so she went to bed thinking about how best she could spend that money. She woke up knowing that God was telling her to give it to me as 'I just felt so strongly you had a special need'. I told her that the Lord was probably telling her I 'had special needs'.

PurdeyPie · 23/03/2015 21:20

Babs, yeah, as soon as I apply my new concealer to mask these grotesque 11dpo massive-temp-zits Hmm

juneybean · 23/03/2015 21:21

sammy I had taken my friend to work (with permission) and I took 3 year old and 1 year old to bigger park and we had been having a lovely time and 3 year old started running on these huge rocks and I was right beside and shouted "Don't run!" but it was too late and she lost her footing and headbutted a huge rock! So much bloooood! Thankfully friend is a paediatric nurse as I don't know how I would have coped!!

Just worry bosses will think we were neglecting them and chatting on but it couldn't be further from the truth!

Anyways, my temperature is still high (although am not used to sharing a bed so have been warming than usual!)

eskimolaura · 23/03/2015 21:26

Thanks so much ladies. I love you all. No matter what you're going through, or how shitty a day you have had, you're always on hand to offer kind words and pick me ups. You're all fab. Star

Babs I went for the tuna option. I had already eaten the quarter jar of Nutella with a spoon when I got in from work Obviously it's much healthier. Grin

Nomio I have 4 more get ups and then it's the Easter hols for me. You're right, I need to plan some fun things with DH and the dogs. There's literally nothing I can do about this AF situation except keep taking the AC and stop getting depressed about it. That's only going to make it worse ain't it?!

Thanks woolly

Sparkly I'm so sorry you're still suffering. I would send you some Nutella, but I'm afraid I seem to be all out Hmm

Juney Yay for steri-strips. Will you please stop beating yourself up about it now?!

I have just flicked over to FB and realised I have loads to catch up on on the group! I don't get notifications, so didn't realise how many posts there had been!

eskimolaura · 23/03/2015 21:33

Purdey Fank you for understanding; I just need to get rid of this womb- it's so last year Grin I'm awaiting the letter... my appointment was only last Thursday, so I'm expecting to have to wait a while longer.

Juney Sharing a bed?! Do you have something to share with us...?

Speaking of Nutella on a jacket spud, check out this cake recipe. Now courgettes in cake = fine. Parsnip in cake = yep, I can vouch for that. But, mashed potato?? Is that taking it too far?

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5870/glutenfree-lemon-drizzle-cake

PurdeyPie · 23/03/2015 21:36

Juney, hoorah for posh 'ozzies! Is your friend keeping her hands off you?

Sparkly, we crossed posts. I wish I could come and give you a super-duper hug. I'll bet DH is so worried about you.

Does anyone know where I can get some reasonably-priced, stylish and highly-comfortable shoes from? If when I start this new job it will be a four-mile round-trip to work and I will be walking. No more than forty quid, please. Any ideas? It is years since I've had to buy this kind of thing.

victoria401 · 23/03/2015 21:39

Boris I'm much better now thanks, sorry for offloading on you earlier. Thanks for the shoulder x

sparkly sorry your HSG experience was so bad. Mine really was ok. The awful thing was just the spotting for the whole 2ww. Are you still gonna ttc this month? Are you spotting now?

Do you have one booked sammy? Seriously its like an extended smear. It helps if you relax all your muscles, maybe that's what went wrong in sparkly's case if she gets problems down there anyway.

Hi the rest of u!

PurdeyPie · 23/03/2015 21:41

ESKIMO! FOR THE LOVE OF THERESA MAY'S UNBRIDLED TITS! Stop linking me to these heavenly cakes! It looks amazing and I am baking it pronto.

I won't annoy you again re the consultant for a couple of weeks

Whoever suggested Nutella on a spud needs a swift kick in the flange. Preposterous and obscene. I feel quite ill Envy

mrsb0710 · 23/03/2015 21:45

eskimo now you've made me want to eat nutella. I've brushed my teeth already though. yes, I'm a grown up
I'm glad you asked Juney first :) Sorry Juney, we're such a nosey bunch. Glad the little one is doing ok though, kids do crazy scary things.
purds maybe just wear trainers to and from work for the walk, and change into something more stylish when you get there? That's what I do. I get my work shoes from Primark and they last ok.
I recently had to buy a suit for work, and some other bits, £40 at primani kitted me out rather stylishly.

tessiegirl · 23/03/2015 21:49

Just popping on - Oh Sparkly I have been thinking of you all day and I am so sorry to hear you had a horrible experience Sad I hope you feel better tomorrow, have a good nights sleep. PS I am also strangely interested in what the test involved....I think it is in case I ever have to have it done I would rather know as much as possible....

Juney these things happen so bloody quickly, don't they? It is natural you are going to blame yourself but these things happen. Sending Flowers

Also need to catch up on fb....

eskimolaura · 23/03/2015 21:49

Pahaha! Purds It was me and the jacket potato. If you can have potato in a cake, why can't you have chocolate spread on a potato?! (I wouldn't really- it sounds grim. The right undergarment for Nutella is a spoon. Skip the toast.

I always get my shoes from Brontano.

Oh, and when I said that I need to get rid of my womb, I obviously meant my womb lining. I don't want to get rid of the whole thing. That would be quite disastrous. Confused

juneybean · 23/03/2015 21:49

Hahah just a friend honest! (She's the other half of my facebook photie!)

frogbubbles · 23/03/2015 21:51

Oh my lord lemon and mash potato together... In a cake!!!! That recipe has been bookmarked and will be tried out this weekend. I'm a sucker for mashed spuds I could eat them until they popped out of my ears.

Have you seen the deliciously Ella recipe? Sweet potato brownies also very yummy.

Purds I have some seriously cute comfy work shoes from Clarks. I love their shoes.
