Its done before cd10 so as not to interupt ttc. If you get a letter asking you to call on cd1 to arrange a date, call them anyway to ask what you should do if you're lacking periods. Like I said they make you test before squirting up the dye to cover their backs so they're not to blame for a mc.

SaladBeach · 19/03/2015 22:18

eskimo that makes complete sense, honestly. In our ttc world 8 weeks is a long time and every month counts for us, however keep strong in the belief that things are moving forward and you are many steps closer to getting your bfp Flowers

victoria401 · 19/03/2015 22:20

Oh and they asked me a load of questions about the last time we had sex and my last period etc, also to cover their backs. I wasn't sent for a hsg until after I'd had all my bloods and ultrasound. It was the last thing I had a month before being offered fertility treatments! You're lucky you're not having to wait 18 months of ttc before getting checked out x x

Pikz · 19/03/2015 22:22

Laura when I had one before when I had irregular periods they made me poas before it. It's your own risk I suppose and they do the poas to cover themselves

eskimolaura · 19/03/2015 22:23

Thanks Victoria, you've clarified it a little. I think I'll probably continue with the Agnus Castus and see if I hear anything from the clinic in the next few weeks. Hopefully the weeks will fly by :)

jugglingmonkey · 19/03/2015 22:24

Evening all.

Sorry to see a few AF's sneak up in the last thread, and thanks for the new one. Awful day at work (awful month actually), so feel bad I can't read all of your posts as much as I'd like.

Just marking my place really. Still impatient to test but trying to be sensible! Might do one on Sunday... Unless anyone can talk me down.

Wotsit- good question, I did wonder how we're supposed to distinguish spunk from cm??!!

ThePug · 19/03/2015 22:27

Thanks for the shiny new bus spinning. Fx this one will be as lucky as the previous few.

eskimo Glad the consultant wrote everything down for you, but it does seem confusing. I have no knowledge of these things I'm afraid but I think you should call the Dr and ask about the continuing to TTC. If they get you to do a hpt right before the test, if that did show a bfp then you could surely just happily skip out of there and not go ahead with it?

cymonsarah · 19/03/2015 22:29

Thank CM I've found you all! Grin!!! Well... I got the job I wanted. So has made a horrid day end on a high!

Just sat down, made rocky roads for bake thingy in wrk 2moz.

Eskimo You make me lol with the HSG thingy Smile

waves at everyone

juneybean · 19/03/2015 22:34

I'm trying to remember eskimo I feel sure that they made me go for my hsg when I was on my period to make sure I wasnt pregnant oh the irony

cymonsarah · 19/03/2015 22:34

Purdey Hope you're feeling better Flowers xx

PurdeyPie · 19/03/2015 22:41

Babs, Sammy, SaladBeach, why don't you join the fb group...your secret swinging identities will be protected. I know people

MrsB, I really like your posts, have I told you that?
My friend's sister has just met a bloke on an internet dating site who is 36 and he has fourteen year-old triplet boys, all identical! It's incredible, isn't it? They live in Lytham, Lancashire

When DH & I were in rehab, there was another inmate there called Geoff (again, irrelevant) who looked like Jabba The Hutt (disgracefully irrelevant) and he had natural quintuplets! When they all visited him they were entirely different - in fact, not two of them looked even slightly similar. I do wonder whether he was talking horse shit Hmm

PurdeyPie · 19/03/2015 22:45

In fact, I've just Googled quintuplets looking for Geoff's and they're not listed, the fat, lying hairy dwarf.

DizzyMerry · 19/03/2015 22:56

eskimo same experience as Victoria and pikz with the hsg. I was told to ring on cd1 and think I was booked in a week later. I stil had to poas to rule out pregnancy before they carried out the procedure.
I'm swinging from being positive this cycle to being bored with it all. Actually boredom is a new one on me because it's never been an emotion I've ever felt when ttc and I find being bored frustrating. I'm so confused tonight easily done and I'm blaming it on the yesterday's reflexology session Confused

PurdeyPie · 19/03/2015 22:57

Eskimo, they would test you beforehand. I think it's brill you're having a hysupercalifragilisticexpialidociousalpingography Smile I honestly think you should keep trying as it would be bad for your mental health to stop.

Welcome, Toadie.

Spinning, what do you mean by 'returning to the clinic'?

We heard Nancy, half an hour ago, gurgling through the baby monitor - and not in a good way. We ran up and she was absolutely splattered in snot and sick. It was everywhere - surrounding her head like a halo of vomit; big lumps of pasta in her hair and thick rivers of electric green snot splashed down her mouth and over her chin. The cot looked like Banksey had been and left his mark and her toys looked traumatised. We brought her down and bathed her (again) and she was as happy as Larry. She's such a bloody trouper.

eskimolaura · 19/03/2015 23:01

Thank you again everyone. Off to bed to dream of saplings being planted in my womb Confused

Purdey Hope Nancy is feeling better tomorrow Flowers

wotsits1 · 19/03/2015 23:06

laura wow that is a conundrum. I can't see how they can do the hsg thingy in case you are, indeed, pregnant. Unless they are planning to do it after the drug induced bleed... I would query it.

I have googled the different between sperm and cm and the answer was... 'sperm is a little cloudy'. That is no help whatsoever. And Purdey I am not tasting it!

Life is boring in the wotsits house. CD12 but I only ov on day 18 so no point ravishing dh just yet. Yawn.

PurdeyPie · 19/03/2015 23:06

Eskimo, did you see an ordinary GP or was it a fertility specialist? I'm wondering what her reasons are for sending you for an HSG when it is just a period you're lacking. Does that make sense?

Cymon, thanks for that, love.

Where's our Sparkly?

Thanks for the thread, Spinning.

I'm off to bed..think it's going to be a long night Hmm

ThePug · 19/03/2015 23:06

Ick Purdey what a lovely scene you have painted with nancy's help . Can you clean up the cot and get her back to sleep in there? Hope she won't end up in your bed and give you a repeat performance!

DizzyMerry · 19/03/2015 23:09

purdey that sounds nasty and I can picture the scene! Glad all is well though with Nancy. DD used to do that and as soon as we cleaned her up she'd be running riot around the room.
Where is sparkly? I've been missing you lot and it's quite on the April bus, not that I wish to see a single one of you there.
purdey in all honesty you are utterly amazing and your knowledge is second to none. I love the way you support everyone and I have picked up so much advice from you. You should consider a career from this. Right that's me done with the soppy post Blush

PurdeyPie · 19/03/2015 23:10

Speaking of boring: who gives a shiny shit about this here eclipse? I've seen at least five in my lifetime and they have done nothing to improve my understanding of the world or my place in it. Bloody keeping kids off school..what's all that about? Rant over. Sorry, it's just that I read a whole thread about this t'other day on MN (AIBU to keep my child off school to see the eclipse?) Er..yes you are. You won't find her sitting in an interview when she's twenty-one going, 'Um..no I don't have any idea where I want to be in five years' time..but I did see an awesome eclipse when I was thirteen!'

PurdeyPie · 19/03/2015 23:13

Awwwww, Dizzy, how kind you are! Thanks

Pug, the cot is spotless and the toys drugged. All is well Smile

loopylou1984 · 19/03/2015 23:20

Laying with my bum on a pillow for one last time this cycle!

Purdey that sounds gross, poor Nancy.... Poor toys!! Glad she seems ok, fx for no repeat performances.

Fbook, hmm, I don't think I could keep up with both tbh... Am I missing out?

Hsg and possible pregnancy are not compatible... But, if you have no af then short of waiting until after he forced bleed it's a risk you'll have to take I guess.

Sparkly.... Are you there??

juneybean · 19/03/2015 23:23

Poor nancypants :(

Giddymamma · 19/03/2015 23:45

Aw thanks Eskimo. Xxx sounds like the hydro whoosit is a good thing, if they time it right? Everything crossed for you.

Purdster I'm sorry you are feeling down. I hope you hear about your job soon and that that perks you up.

Poor Nancy pants and her vomming. they can be spectacular for such little people. Sounds like she needed to get it up, hope you get some sleep tonight.

Where is sparkly?

Hello salad. :)

Wotsits, sad to see that no one else has started a chant of taste it taste it taste it. Consider that my gift for you. :)

I have been knitting my dinosaur. So proud. Oh labelled it "disturbing looking". I'll let you lot disagree with him when it is finished and I post a pic.

Spinning, how are you coping without ds? Is he back tomorrow? X

Well done for keeping going sammy! Hopefully these extra sessions will make the difference....

Still giggling about Geoff's imaginary quintuplets....

Well done cymon! Hope you haven't done anything inappropriate to the brownies in an attempt to leave on a high!

DizzyMerry · 19/03/2015 23:50

Oh giddy I just read your bfp news. Congratulations Flowers and I'm sure your dinasaur will be amazing
