You know the drill by now ...

Rules of Entry - must be over 30, TTC no. 1 for over a year, be suitably evil and Hag like, willing to shout Cunt at the moon on regular occasions, consume extra gin when our fellow hags are unable to, and to get the nipple tassles out for any successful Hag ...

and now we've been trained by the government in our new MI5 roles, we are likely to get a little Ninja on your ass if you babydust round here ...

No admittance without a complete BESHtionnaire - see below.

Fizz when is your downreg scan? Not long to go now surely?

Barking, Cherry, clutching toes, shovelling plentiful Hagfish of Hope up your sleeves.

cherrycoconut · 04/04/2015 10:35

Yo hags, thanks for all the thoughts, toe holds and fish you lovely lot. Away ooop norf with limited tinterweb and awkward questions about IVF from the mothership, gah, when we know, we'll tell you, alright.

All this talk of eggs is right up my street. Mmm, love 'em! Gonna have to give those recipes a go Rain and Bad. Eggs baked in avocados is my idea of heaven. My mission when I get home is to make gluten free scotch eggs for ROCH and serve them warm with runny middles.

Barking I hope you're enjoying your back to basics camping experience, I hope you're chilling out being close to nature but not overdoing it and your feet are warm! Blokes are clueless sometimes hey?

Blue, our menfolk are emotional creatures hey? It sounds like Mr B needs to get over himself and see the bigger picture, in the nicest possible way. There's loads they can do for spaff. ICSI is definitely an option, but he is gonna need to knuckle down and apply himself.

10 weeks, shit me Fab, that's wicked news!

I feel quite in denial about ever testing; once bitten a gazillion times shy is me right now. We went bowling yesterday and I definitely felt tightening stuff going on down there but as I keep saying to myself, it could easily be the progesterone playing headfuckery. I've decided to come home a day early and POAS on Monday if I can psyche myself up enough.

cherrycoconut · 04/04/2015 10:48

fizz sorry to hear you're having a bad time of the down reg drucks but you'll be onto the good stuff soon. Have the turbot of temperature regulation in the meantime, all for the greater good hag.

Hello to the fresh meat Tinks, you sound like one of us. Sorry to hear your woes but you'll find these magnificent hags the bestest in the business for sanity and sheer damned doggedness in all this TTC shit.

I'm Chez, preoccupied by nearing the end of our 2ww for DEIVF#2, 35, TTC of sorts coming up 3 years. I say that as v early on in our diagnostics I was diagnosed with prem ovarian failure and hence certified barren. Married to ROCH (rock of coconut household).

The only shame I can see in having the England Rugby team is perhaps having all of them all at once. A girl has to share round here OK?

FrankelandFilly · 04/04/2015 15:15

When's OTD cherry? Keeping everything crossed for you.

Hags, I have something to ask and I won't be offended if you tell me to FTFO. HWHNN and I are getting back on the TTC bandwagon, it took so long to win the Filly that we don't want to waste time in case it takes as long again. I'm going to the Dr to ask for a referral to the fertility clinic next month, so would anyone mind if I lurked around here once things get going?

TheRainDrops · 04/04/2015 15:31

It came! It came! Grin and I wasn't even watching the letterbox!!
Our kick off appt is June 4th, but have to book amh and dildocam in before that plus RAF has to supply a swimmer sample mid May. Agh, two months away, I know that's not that one in the grand scheme of things but I know I'm going to drive myself slowly insane between now and then. Should I restart acu in May then? What should I do diet wise? Help me out wise hags!!!!

chez glad you're able to come home a day early, am grabbing two toes to hold between now and then.

fab I was sceptical about the egg/avocado combo but it really does work! Yum yum yum.

barking its a really boring paint name I'm afraid - 'spotlight', it's a warm light grey colour. Going to go to town on some colourful accessories to stop it looking like the inside of a submarine,

tink you've been through a lot, props to you for having the balls to keep going. Do you know what's next for you treatment wise? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with your condition aside from what I googled. Is the hope that the treatment for prolactinoma might do the trick or would that be combined with some other form of medical intervention?

blue I studiously pretended to be totally engrossed in my iPad last night during the gogglebox OBEM moment. Can't cope with it at all.

Hope everyone has lots of chocolate for tomorrow, or failing that, gin. Grin
Off for a walk + pub with RAFs best friend and his 8m pregnant wife. They're good people tho, so not bothered by it really. just the usual amount

TheRainDrops · 04/04/2015 15:32

frankel for my part, don't be daft!

Fabuluce · 04/04/2015 15:57

Frankel once an ESH always an ESH right? I see no reason why you can't go to the right ESH fred for what ails ya Smile

Blue2014 · 04/04/2015 17:17

Whoop for the letter Rain, you are so cute absolutely hard as Smile

Frankel, Id be thrilled to have you back, I agree - once and ESH always an ESHWine

Aww, thanks Hags. I've got something in my eye now. Manly fist bumps all round

I'll lurk for the time being and probably crop back up once I get the referral letter and tests sorted.

Good news on the appointment Rain.

Yup PCOS here Bugs, I've only had 2 droid's since the Filly was born and one of those was drug induced. I was hoping pregnancy might reset my hormone levels but no such luck.

The one good thing is that the treatment I had (OI) is NHS funded even if you already have children. We were quite prepared to pay, and have savings put aside, but it makes things a bit easier.

Be good to have you back in 2016 too Bugs Smile im sure I'll still be here!

Fabuluce · 05/04/2015 11:44

Rain, great news about the letter! I felt brilliant once I knew I was getting on the ivf bus - it really felt like I had a clear goal to work towards and was therefore easier than living in 2 week periods. Definitely what Bugs said, and eat plenty of fruit/veg, as multicoloured as possible. My nutritionist said 7-9 a day (impossible but basically ensures that you are really concentrating on having as many as possible. Beans and pulses count as veg AND protein. Try to make sure you mix your proteins ie don't get it only from meat as veg protein is also v good for you.

cherrycoconut · 05/04/2015 12:54

Ay, Frankel good to see you back on the wagon 'ol mucker and frequenting the gin palais. NHS funding for go no. two is supreme, v nice!

It came it came Rain, whoop! Excellent advice already from these hags, I'd get on the acu as soon as you can and start looking after yourself now with a good diet, low stress and plenty of sleep to be in the best shape. Tis exciting!

I hope you lovely lot are being well fed and having a relaxy Easter Sunday. I've had a lovely walk on the beach, and been treated to 'free from' choccy eggs, gluten free simnel cake and now about to have lamb dinner #fattyemoticonneeded.

Today is OTD but I am studiously ignoring it apart from the mental dreams about test lines last night . It makes my stomach flip just to think of it. I don't want to know and would like to continue living in this cosy parallel universe of hope and what ifs please.

I don't want to have to face looking at the blank test window and the crushing disappointment and the agonising what nexts.

Fabuluce · 05/04/2015 13:04

Oh Chez I know that feeling all to well Hag. Be strong, and enjoy the rest if your day in PUPO land with your family. Are you driving home today and testing or tomorrow and testing on Tuesday? Continuing to hold on to your toe (and the dream) Hag whilst chucking a bucket of shellfish over you.

cherrycoconut · 05/04/2015 13:29

Thanks Fab, knew you'd understand! Driving home this avo, testing either when we get home or in the morning, I've not quite decided. Teeny amount of pink spotting today, but enought to start pushing me out of my PUPO zen!

TheRainDrops · 05/04/2015 14:40

chez more toe holding from me, and an elbow grab too. So hard to put into words what this awful menkul is like but you know we're all right behind you luffly hag, and sending squillions of positive vibes.

frankel is OI treatment mainly just drucks? [ignorant emoji]. FX you can get your next win 10,000 x quicker!!

Thanks for the advice and solidarity hags (and for allowing me a moment of almost NM worthy over excitement! Easter Wink). Fab you've got it bang on (as usual!) - I am a plan oriented person and that is one of the biggest killers about this fucking bollocks, but now there's a goal in sight I feel much calmer!
Will be back on to my acu lady and see what I can do with my diet. The fruit/veg bit should be quite easy as I've already massively upped my intake there since being on Weight Watchers but I am still a processed carbs addict so I shall endeavour to swap my pasta and rice for lentils and chickpeas as much as possible. I will also try and fail to stop the gin drinking Easter Wink

I hope everyone's having/had relaxing long weekends. Off out for lunch with RAF's family this afternoon. Our meal out with his friends last night was good - totally overshared with the 8m preg wife about IVF, but she seemed really interested and said lots of nice things, so I feel a lot better for having been open. Maybe there's something to this out and proud malarkey after all.

FrankelandFilly · 05/04/2015 15:33

PUPO Cherry, PUPO. Just keep repeating it to yourself. If I were you I'd wait till tomorrow morning for the super-strength wee, but I get that you might not be able to hang on.

Rain OI is basically drucks. It's like low-dose IVF - you inject yourself daily with FSH from day 4 of your cycle and get DildoCam every 3/4 days to check on follicle growth. Once they're happy that you've got a mature follicle or two (if you get more than 3 they stop the drucks as the risk of multiples is too high) they give you a trigger injection to take and tell you to go away and have lots of sex!

Last time round my first cycle failed, second cycle was a chemical pregnancy and third cycle got cancelled because they screwed up my drug dosage and my follicles stopped growing Hmm Fourth time we hit the jackpot.

I'm definitely in favour of the out and proud route these days. I've already told two people (hairdresser and random acquaintance) who were rude enough to ask if we were having any more kids that we were dependent on the miracles of modern science. It shut them up quite quickly Grin One of these days I intend to write a ranty Facebook status along those lines, partly to point out to other folk that it's just plain rude to, effectively, ask someone about their sex life but also because the law of averages says there must be other people in my friend's list who are suffering in silence and I know what that is like.

barkingtreefrog · 05/04/2015 18:50

No time to catch up, only just got back into reception and it's my turn to drive in 5 minutes!! Angry.

rain whoop for the arrival of the letter, no point adding to the excellent advice already given!

chez I'm exactly there. Fucking terrified. Don't feel pg, feel like droid is due. Don't want to test, but part of me wants to grab a stick and run to the toilet as soon as we get home Blush.

Blue2014 · 05/04/2015 19:24

I'm with frankel hags, wait for the super strength wee. I'm holding back these dwarves as best I can. Toe holds for you Thanks

Fabuluce · 05/04/2015 20:13
