You know the drill by now ...

Rules of Entry - must be over 30, TTC no. 1 for over a year, be suitably evil and Hag like, willing to shout Cunt at the moon on regular occasions, consume extra gin when our fellow hags are unable to, and to get the nipple tassles out for any successful Hag ...

and now we've been trained by the government in our new MI5 roles, we are likely to get a little Ninja on your ass if you babydust round here ...

No admittance without a complete BESHtionnaire - see below.

Sorry fab, it was only the once, and I didn't mean to Blush .

Selenium: grain cereals, egg yolk, milk, brazil nuts, mushrooms and garlic.

The only thing on that list I don't eat regularly is Brazil nuts Grin . Phew! nope, not stopped the menkul

cherrycoconut · 01/04/2015 07:08

I think I spelt it wrong, it's the stuff that turns everything bright yellow Erica! It's got a gazillion health benefits of the immune regulatory, inflammation reducing sort Fizz. I was encouraged to start taking it a couple of months ago by an enthusiastic friend and I'm a convert. The active ingredient is circumin which you activate by taking the powder with black pepper and coconut oil. I heat mine up and have it as a bedtime drink with almond milk.

It's been great for keeping my eczema under control without the steroid cream but I wasn't sure about using it so regularly through the IVF. Great on the immune front, not sure if there'd be any hidden impacts though if it's so powerful? So I just kinda had a bit less and went with what I felt like.

I've felt very similar Barking on the nausea/hungry front. The last couple of nights I've had sweats in bed and at 4am this morning I had to get up as I thought I was going to be sick. What's that all about?

I hope you get through down reg soon Fizz and onto the good drucks and that the lurgy stays away so you can go support your sister. Tough times, have the flat fish of fortitude.

As for Scarlet Fever Fab, def stay well away hag!

cherrycoconut · 01/04/2015 07:14

Fab a dinnieken but gaun yersel wee lassie.

Fabuluce · 01/04/2015 07:42

Ayyyye lassie!

I hear you on the hot sweats, bad sleep front. I got up about 4 times in the night to wee, have had to go nekid in order to combat the heat combination between TWH and me and am now in headache hell. Boo :(

My SIL is a turmeric/curcumin exponent too. Are you following the paleo diet then? They seem to go hand-in-hand?

badb · 01/04/2015 11:38

Afternoon, hags!

fab, cherry, barking, fizz - here's a cure for what ails you Cake Hope lurgies lift soon, leaving behind only healthy bodies, and of course healthy baybees for those currently preggo or pupo.

May I just say: I fucking hate my fucking department head. The micro-managing technophobic unnecessary workload-doubling bitch.

And release.

EricaJ · 01/04/2015 12:19

Hey Chez Wow! I use turmeric for cooking, maybe once a week, I never realised it was such brilliant ingredient! I've had a look and I can't find anything negative about it re:fertility. Unless you had autoimmune issues (in which case it would make sense to be extra careful), I would carry on as normal.

Are you on prednisolone?

I am so low today hags. I don't know why. Well, I do. The anniversary of my mum's death is approaching and is hitting me like a ton of bricks. That and being back to TTC... I don't know why, not having mum or a baby is making me feel so lost and powerless and crap and I just want to hide under the duvet and cry. I want to pull a sickie on life!

Badb Better out than in, I say. She sounds like nightmare.

How are the lurgy ladies doing? Drinking some ginger and lemon tea and loading on the cake, I hope!

badb · 01/04/2015 15:03

Oh, erica. That's so tough. It's alright to pull a sickie on life every so often. Take a mental health day or two: stay in bed, watch tv, cry as much as you need to. Seabass of strength to you my dear.

I feel like this sums things up for us today, hags.

EricaJ · 01/04/2015 16:51

Ha ha Badb! Thanks! I love the gif.

barkingtreefrog · 01/04/2015 19:26

What's that about chez? It means we've both got the same symptoms, so we must both be diffed Grin. No-one else has these symptoms do they? < glares at everyone but Fab and cherry in case they dare to throw a spanner in the works >

Erica scream and howl as much as you need to hag. Thanks

bad tell us more about your boss, let it all out Grin

I was coping ok with sitting next to massive bump in the all day meeting today, until just now, when she she walked into the room and said 'look at me, I'm massive!' No, I don't want to fucking look at you. Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry And then she ordered a 'mecidinal' sherry while I had yet another tap water. Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry
This is the woman who knows my story and is usually quite sensitive. Grr.
I had a proper lump in throat moment and had to work hard to compose myself.

Fabuluce · 01/04/2015 20:55

4am is the golden time - I'm awake practically every morning at that time for one of my many wees through the night. If I'm lucky it will just be the one wee at 4am. If unlucky then they will be every hour or so! And very very occasionally I don't wake up until 6 then instantly feel it's all over! Can't win?? I also have an incredible heat at night - normally I'm cold and have been known to pj and bedsock at night whilst cuddling TWH very extra warmth. Nowadays he's chasing me for cuddles whilst I'm whipping off clothes and duvet and falling out of bed to escape his clammy grip!! I'm so sorry TWH! Thankfully I don't feel vommy at night time though. So, Barking and Chez.......just saying.

Sorry you had a pants time with the diffed lady Barking Hmm

Bad/Erica only one more day to go and then it's 4 days off!!!!!

cherrycoconut · 01/04/2015 22:14

You is diffed Fab, if I knew I was then I think nauseating sweaty wakenings would be easier to bear but right now it feels like drug induced fakery! Add sore boobs to that list today too but oh I am full of doubt.

Barking I don't want to tar you with my same negative brush, sorry, on a downer and trying to prep myself for BFN, weekend enfamile and our what next. Please stay positive, I'm sure you strong little embie is doing just great.

Sorry you're feeling down Erica, a tough time with all those jumbles of emotions. Cockles of comfort to you my friend.

The turmeric is an interesting one. Erica I have anticardiolipin antibodies so an autoimmune ishoo of sorts. We haven't had the full work up into NK cells etc so I'm being head in the sand about that now. Shh! I do cook lots of Paleo type fud Fab, Not strictly as I eat a few more carbs but the unrefined, non processed is a good concept.

Fabuluce · 01/04/2015 23:00

I'm so sorry Chez, I was hoping to cheer you up a little with our similar symptoms but I see it was poorly timed. The unfair mental headfuckery if it all really does take it's toll what with hormones galore racing around and the knowledge that the symptoms can mean nothing or everything it's very hard to know where you are or what to believe. It's time to sling the squid of solace around your shoulders - I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight Hag.

barkingtreefrog · 02/04/2015 06:31

chez you're not bringing me down, I'm actually in a weird kind of denial and struggling to believe anything is going on. Don't even feel like I'm in the 2ww it's like the ivf was just a bad dream!

Woken up drenched in sweat again. Nice. I assume that could be the progesterone? I have sore boobs but I know that is progesterone. And I think the nausea last night had more to do with the 5 course meal.....

I am soooo tired despite the lovely hotel room and super comfy bed. I started watching a film last night so didn't get to sleep until after midnight and didn't even see the end of it...
Today will probably pass quite quickly then I'll be home with DCW and we're off camping in the Lakes from Fri- Sun Grin . If I leave the piss sticks at home this means early testing is not possible.... Hmm

cherrycoconut · 02/04/2015 07:43

Soz guys, being realistic a neg head a twat atm, and will snap out of it. My bad Fab, no harm done. Have a great camping trip Barking. Almost to the loooong weekend folks, bring it on!

EricaJ · 02/04/2015 08:36

Barking Leave the piss sticks at home!

Thanks for the fish, hags. I am feeling better today. I am working from home (can't face showering and getting dressed, let alone acting professional) and I am planning to go for a walk later, get some fresher and hopefully some perspective.

We are also going away for the week end. I am hoping for lots of lots of good news for the BESH next week!

Fabuluce · 02/04/2015 08:36

Chez you are at the worst time for menkul plus you're going away for a weekend you're not looking forward to when you could really do with being at home with ROCH and having a long drive when you could really do with hanging out with your steed. Don't apologise! We're here with you holding onto toes, whether you're able to post or not. And don't forget to make frequent stops please.

Barking, camping?? With hot sweats in the night and midnight wees?? You are a crazy nails hag that's for sure! But it sounds like you're looking forward to it and a great idea to leave the piss sticks at home - have fun and don't forget your warm socks! Smile

badb · 02/04/2015 15:51

Afternoon hags.

cherry, I hope your weekend goes ok. It's a tough time to be going away, and to have to put a public face on.

barking, you are insane. But in a good way.

erica, how are you doing? Take it easy on yourself.

So, at my acupuncture today, I bled from some of the needle points. That's never happened before. They weren't painful or anything. Weird huh? Does that mean maybe my acupuncture lady is bad? She acted like it was no big deal, but I don't know.

I took a half-day today, as I worked 12 hour days Mon-Fri this week. I'm on the sofa eating toast and watching 50 Shades of Grey. It is so bad.

barkingtreefrog · 02/04/2015 18:01

bad you worked 12 hours Monday to Friday by half way through Thursday?! That's bloody impressive Grin.

Can I just say FUCKING IN LAWS Angry Angry Angry Angry FUCKING WEDDINGS Angry Angry Angry Angry THEY CAN ALL GO TO FUCK I have more fucking important things in my life happening right now than whether we've selfishly booked a hotel to stay in without consulting the entire extended family even though no one communicates with us about any of their ridiculous fucking expectations Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry. And this isn't even the bride and groom having an issue, it's the rest of his bloody family Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry.

badb · 02/04/2015 18:40

Well spotted, barking! Monday - Wednesday, obviously. Though it does feel like I've done five days already Sad

Better out than in re the inlaws. Weddings bring out the worst in families, I think.

Fabuluce · 02/04/2015 19:12

And breathe. What's happened??

TheRainDrops · 02/04/2015 19:14

alreeet hags, just checking in quickly - had a hectic week this week (as it seems we all have!) so haven't been around much.

erica life sickies are totally allowed, you've got a lot on your plate right now. I hope you're feeling ok at the moment, and if you're not then you know where we are

bad 12 hours days? That doesn't sound fun at all, hope you enjoyed your half day although enduring FSOG sounds more like heaping more torture on yourself! Grin

chez I hope your unwanted weekend away goes well, check in and let us know how you're doing. Sending you many, many kilos of flounders of fortitude, eels of endurance and salmons of serenity.

I'd offer the same to barking but you are sounding pretty calm for now, so go you! Enjoy your weekend camping (I've camped in Feb in the snow, Was fun but probably not something I'd choose to do again...) and forget those sodding in-laws

hope you also have fun weekends planned blue, fizz and fab. We aren't up to much, some cycling/walking and pub related activities plus maybe painting the bathroom if we can be bothered unlikely

Despite their promises, no sign of the letter with our appointment. RAF has promised he'll call them on Tuesday to find out what's going on.

EricaJ · 02/04/2015 19:22

Thanks Badb I feel better I think. I still seem to have a crying fit every few hours but I went for a long lovely walk and then did some cooking and I feel ok. Sad, but ok.

I worry I am going to be one of those people that has full on breakdown after the 12 weeks scan/giving birth, when realising that, baby or no baby, they still have to deal with whatever crap life is throwing at them (the grieving process in my case).

I would love to have the chance to find out though! :)

50 shades!! OMG, how bad? So bad it's good? I must say, I don't get all the fuss about Jamie Dornan. Sure, he's a very handsome young man but a bit...wooden-ey?

Barking I think most families and their dynamics are a mystery. Badb is right, these sort of occasions seem to bring the worst out of everyone, which is such a shame.... Will stop before I start crying again. Could really do with a pint of G&T, lots of lime, right now.

EricaJ · 02/04/2015 19:24

Oh Rain I just saw your post, lovely. I am in fact having some organic chamomile tea at the moment hippy but a bottle of prosecco would be just lush!

Have a great Easter and good luck with the letter. My clinic's number is saved under 'favourites' in my phone, just to give you an idea how much I chased called them!

badb · 02/04/2015 21:07

erica, nope - definitely not so bad it's good territory. Possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen. And I was infuriated that we got to see next to nothing of Dornan in the buff when Dakota Johnson spend pretty much the whole film naked.

I would love some Prosecco right now.

badb · 02/04/2015 21:08

Oh - I meant to add: I do think Jamie Dornan is hot, but only with a beard and his Northern Irish accent. He had neither in this film.
