Thanks pear- that's probably what it is. I'm getting so carried away imagining it's an egg being fertilised... Someone give me a slap!

I'm recording OBEM as dh won't watch it!

ispyfispi · 10/03/2015 21:06

Hi Meggy, similar story here, ds is 16mo and nothing here yet either. How long ago did you night wean? and how did you manage it!

Mumof1sofar · 10/03/2015 21:06

Welcome meggy Smile

Giddymamma · 10/03/2015 21:13

Hi meggy! Similar position... 17 month old still feeding at night. Had two period like bleeds but cbfm not spotted a peak yet so prob not ovulating...

I'm another one who wants to know how you managed to night wean!

Ha ha! Bless you, you have our support, but it turns out you're the weaning guru. :) x

meggy22 · 10/03/2015 21:14

Hi ispyfispi, I struggled for months to night wean him. He's so attached to the boob! I still bf him to sleep. He got a stomach bug about 3 weeks ago and suddenly started turning away from the boob at night and falling asleep so after he recovered I kept it going and didn't feed him when he woke, he surprising didn't complain after months of trying! so I have no helpful tips! Thanks for the welcome mumof1sofar. I was upset today after speaking to my mum who told me she didn't get her period back until she completely weaned. With my brother he was 3!!! I was hoping af would arrive anytime :(

meggy22 · 10/03/2015 21:17

Hi giddymamma, definitely not the weaning guru......it was a fluke.....haha! He might go back to night feeding yet Hmm

Giddymamma · 10/03/2015 21:20

Aw, darn it. :)
So unpredictable and difficult. Hope you do get af back soon.

peardrop2 · 10/03/2015 21:21

He meggy Smile AF returned 6 months a go I'm still not pregnant boo hoo! I have a feeling I might be like your mum and need to wean completely now. I'm down to 1 feed at 7am.

Hi All, and welcome Meggy! The only good thing to come from poor DD having a cold while AF is here (which makes bf painful for me anyway) is that, as she wanted to feed all night last night and I've been so sore today I've actually managed to only feed DD 3 times today! Which is amazing considering how often I usually feed her on demand. I thought I'd feel guilty distracting her so much as I usually just give in, but she was really good and it leads me to think she asks for boob out of habit? I'll still feed her through the night while she's poorly for comfort, but it'd be fantastic if I can start spacing the feeds enough to ovulate, as I really doubt I've been ovulating all this time...

peardrop2 · 11/03/2015 08:16

Morning ladies. Another high on the cbfm so that is 6 highs in a row now Hmm I've been looking back at my tracking notes on the app and I had 6 highs in a row in December but my AF began soon after so this time the difference looks like I will have the proper 2ww. The second line on the stick today is barely present. I will Dtd tonight but I have very little hope now. I'm expecting the monitor to say low tomorrow. I've woken up coming to terms with the fact it really does look like I'm going to have a 3 year gap between the 2 Dcs now. I think I will skip next month because my BFP really would be Christmas and I don't want to miss Christmas Day with DS (I think). The whole thing is just so exhausting. Maybe a break would be good for me Hmm I'll still track and be on here though Wink

Mumof1sofar I had some period like cramps 1/2 days post ov and then nothing for 2 weeks then a BFP!

peardrop2 · 11/03/2015 14:13

I've got 15 days until AF arrives. Sigh

MarysPrayer · 11/03/2015 21:39

'course not pear!

I'm soooo tired atm. Wondering if 2 1/2 years of bf has taken it's toll on my old body Sad Dd has a pre-nap meltdown this afternoon and I really struggled to keep my cool with her. I'm so cranky atm. At 5dpo I can't even blame it on pms or pregnancy! Blush

peardrop2 · 11/03/2015 21:54

Aww Mary you're so nearly half way! My DS has a teething temperature at the moment so we've just had a hell few days. I know how you feel Hmm I'm wondering whether lack of sleep has interfered with my body but I doubt it.

Anyway, currently dangling legs "just incase" I do finally lay an egg Blush

Just been looking at dates and seeing when I would next TTC if we wanted to avoid Xmas/new year. 13th May for a approx Feb 1st baby!!!! That feels so far away Shock It is also quite close to when DS starts nursery Hmm

Ispy have you experienced having one of your Dc born around the time your other Dc starts nursery? I wonder how that effects the child starting nursery?

Evening all.

Ooh thanks hide&squeak - that would be amazing! Smile Fx...

Pear that's a really good point - I'll give next month a miss too (assuming I'm unlucky this month). Don't want to be in hospital/away from dd over Xmas.

Ruth- no I am still demand feeding dd all the time! I actually think I was just lucky (in a roundabout way) that dd was poorly & totally went off milk for 12 hours - the next day I got af.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but having only recently got af back I feel like not having it & bf-ing really suppressed my hormones! Feel really different atm & way more up for dtd.... Don't know if that's because I'm also ttc.

peardrop2 · 12/03/2015 05:46

Day 7 getting a high. Wth is going on with my body Confused

Mum - I used to feel more up for it but tbh I am now coming to the end of month 4 of serious TTC and I am loosing that feeling. Mainly because I am having such mixed results with temping. I think if I had peaked I would have felt different this month. Knowing that you're laying an egg does help add to the excitement doesn't it Wink

Spoke to DH about TTC next month and he kind of agrees that a Xmas DD wouldn't be ideal. Before I started weaning my DD was going to be very early December which I was fine with. It may change again so I'll just have to wait and see Hmm

I keep saying DD when I mean Dc. It's too early zzzzzzzzzzz

Mumof1sofar · 12/03/2015 08:06

I have to confess I actually calculated what the due date would be if I got pg this month BlushBlush and I would be due 30th Nov! So even then the baby would just be a couple of weeks old for Xmas! Eek writing that makes me feel v broody & also a little overwhelmed! Although it's highly unlikely we have got lucky 1st cycle anyway!

Mumof1sofar · 12/03/2015 08:08

Pear I don't understand how those highs work - so have you 100% not ovulated?

peardrop2 · 12/03/2015 08:49

Hi mum - doesn't everyone calculate the dd? Blush mine would have been 29th Nov. The monitor is meant to pick up 3 highs, 2 peaks then another high and then the next day it goes up to low. The two peaks indicate that you're about to or are ovulating.

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 12/03/2015 08:51

The fact that I haven't peaked says to me that I haven't ovulated. Some people think that you could have just missed it but I highly doubt that as would catch the second peak if that was the case
