Great work duchess

CD16 here, 3dpo (I think) and I'm absolutely NOT symptom spotting. Not in the slightest. Not a bit. Grin

Gah, this 2ww is boring isn't it?!

Duchess007 · 09/03/2015 22:03

Thanks guys Smile I was pleased we managed it! Hopefully the effort will pay off. Time will tell...

Mumof1sofar · 09/03/2015 22:21

Haha go on Mary, what are your symptoms? I think I'm symptom spotting too & don't think I've even passed ovulation yet... Aghhh Blush

I've been at my mums helping her with stuff. I can see she is trying to look at me for pregnancy giveaways lol She keeps saying I look pretty to get a reaction. Today I was wearing a hoodie and jeans...hardly pretty lol Oh and I have a weird annoying spot that appeared above my eyebrow...this is deffo a hormonal change. No doubt about that!

Arghhhhhhh day 5 and still no peak on the cbfm. What is going on with my body?!?! HmmConfusedHmmConfusedAngry

Thanks, Ruth, no it hadn't occurred to me that the last 6 periods may have been anovulatary until it started to dawn in me last night ... is that possible? After all that effort too...Confused I have been getting consistently light to moderate-ish AF for 3/4 days fairly regularly since AF returned at 16 months pp. This month though, it seems more like it was before I got pg - fx it's a good sign! x

DD is snuffly again since a visit to the play centre on Saturday, so I've been feeding 4/5 times during the night again... Typical ... Hmm hopefully she'll be back to normal by the time AF leaves though x

All sounds good Pear! did I mention that my sister's tests didn't show 'a peak' the month she conceived her DD? Wink x

AvaAmulet · 10/03/2015 11:56

Check me out. Just ordered a thermometer to chart my bbt. I've never done this before, it's all new to me, so I might be asking lots of questions Blush I know it won't help me conceive this month, but it will hopefully help me see if I did ovulate and when? If anyone has any tips they'd be gratefully received, thanks x

I even popped some cheapie pg tests in my basket too...hopefully I won't get carried away with poas like before and they last a little longer... Blush

peardrop2 · 10/03/2015 12:11

Ava - hearing positive stories like your sister helps a lot Wink I will start temping next month too so we can learn together Grin

AvaAmulet · 10/03/2015 13:41

I'm hoping you'll get your bfp before then, Pear! Wink x

Duchess007 · 10/03/2015 13:50

Hope your DD feels better soon Ava. Which thermometer did you order? I think I will start temping next month too as my cycle has always been so unpredictable. No idea how it all works though! I assume I can't just use a regular thermometer?!

AvaAmulet · 10/03/2015 14:08

Hi Duchess, it's the £3.89 one by Home Health on amazon - I'm not sure how good it'll be but it's got good reviews so I thought it was worth a try for that price x

Duchess007 · 10/03/2015 14:11

Thanks Ava, I will look it up. I must find some time to read up about how temping works so I can get prepared!

MarysPrayer · 10/03/2015 14:28

That's interesting Ruth, my periods are pretty heavy so it could be a good thing hey? Smile

Ava these play centres are always germ ridden aren't they? Hope your dd feels better soon.

We've been to a parent and toddler swimming session this morning. (yes, I did google whether swimming was ok while ttc Blush I'm shattered and thankfully so too is dd. She was out like a light for her nap!

AvaAmulet · 10/03/2015 14:44

I have a thermometer for DD, didn't even think about using that?! Duh. Blush

AvaAmulet · 10/03/2015 14:50

That sounds lovely, Mary! I'd love to take DD swimming regularly but all the pools we've tried in a 10 mile radius have been quite cold Hmm

Re germy play centres/playgroups - the little 'uns tend to gravitate towards us at these places, so when all these tots with wet green noses approached us like a scene out of night of the living dead I knew it'd only be a matter of time... Sad

MarysPrayer · 10/03/2015 15:01

It is a lovely place. The pool is warm, the changing rooms are clean and (best of all) it's a drop-in, 'come and go and do what you please' session. Dd is not one for structured groups!

Speaking of bug and germs, have anyone's dcs had chicken pox yet? We haven't, but in some ways it would be nice to get it out of the way.

peardrop2 · 10/03/2015 16:51

Afternoon, just had coffee with a group of pregnant friends again. It gets more torturous every week even though I love their company Hmm

Ava, I don't think we can use Dcs, it's meant to be a basal thermometer no?!

Feeling really blue on a sunny day. Someone give me a reality slap Wink

Duchess007 · 10/03/2015 17:14

Aww Pear, that must be hard for you. My SIL is pregnant and while I am obviously over the moon for her I am struggling with my jealousy when she shows me gorgeous newborn clothes! I really hope this is your lucky month.

ispyfispi · 10/03/2015 17:21

I just can't keep away! I think basal refers to your 'base' temperature so I can't see why you couldn't use any old thermometer, I'm no expert though!

peardrop2 · 10/03/2015 17:23

Hah hah ispy it's because we're so lovely bunch of TTC nutters ??

OP posts:
Duchess007 · 10/03/2015 18:34

No chicken pox yet Mary. I know it's best for children to get it when they are young, but I am still dreading it!

Not much you can do about all the germs etc though with toddler groups/playgroups. Last week at the library I saw three different babies pick up a sippy cup and drink from it while the parents were on their phones texing/playing games. I kept taking it off them and giving them books while trying to figure out who it actually belonged to so I could warn the parent not to give it back to their baby. No one claimed it though, so it was probably sitting there all day! So gross!

Mumof1sofar · 10/03/2015 19:04

Evening all. Cd16 here (I think 1 or 2 dpo but that's a guess) & I'm still getting a really achy uterus almost like period pain... Any ideas? Don't know how I'm going to wait another couple of weeks to poas!

meggy22 · 10/03/2015 20:33

Hi girls, sorry if Im butting in. I'm new to this thread....! Im ttc and Breast feeding my milk-monster 18month old ds! My cycle hasn't returned yet and I have recently weaned him between 11pm and 7am in a bid for it to return. It hasn't. I'm feeling very ??. Would love advice and support of those in same position :)

peardrop2 · 10/03/2015 20:36

Mumofone - I was so achey last month around OV time but this time I've only had one twindge...maybe that's because an egg hasn't released. Anyway, I still don't understand why I got so many twinges last month. Maybe your body is waking up?
